I was messing around with the camera and suddenly it goes to the White Screen with the Motorola logo in the middle. Its just stuck there. I've pulled the battery for at least 30 minutes, tried holding down, up, camera, while turning the phone on, no luck. Every time I power it up its just the same white screen. It's doing nothing. Are there any other manual methods of resetting this thing?

After following the guide to rooting, my phone is now stuck on the white "htc evo 4g" screen. It will boot up to that, then restart, and repeat.
View 4 Replies View RelatedI rooted my Inc with the Evo tool, and installed a ROM through ROM manager, after deciding that I did not want to keep the ROM, I tried to restore back to the stock rooted ROM I had before through the clockworkmod/nandroid options. Now the phone is stuck at the white screen that reads, "htc incredible" and none of the buttons will cause anything to happen. I was debating on doing a battery pull and restarting, but I believe I read somewhere that doing so would brick the phone.
Update: Did a battery pull and was able to boot into the HBOOT and run the nandroid recovery again, I am trying it now to see if I can get back to the original ROM.

After rerestoring the phone, the boot animation runs all the way through and the phone starts back up.
Flashed a Fresh ROM, did a wipe cache and dalvik before flashing but now I'm stuck in the white htc evo 4g screen. Tried to reflash didn't work. I've pulled out the battery and powered on while holding volume down. This is what the screen reads:

I can boot into ClockworkMod Recovery v2.5.0.1 but my backup and nandroid files can't be located. Sometimes I get the Android with the exclamation point, sometimes not. PCIMG36.zip image can't be found either. I think my phone is screwed! I've searched through the forums and googled and tried out a many things but to no avail. Also, does doing all this through a Mac make a difference?
Been creating a theme last few days. I installed it on my phone, but before doing so i was a good boy and did a nandroid backup. Then i didnt like osme of the things i changed so i restored my backup i just did now its stuck after restoring on the white htc evo screen. NOT GOOD!! I even pulled the battery and SD Card...twice.

I had to reboot the phone 5 times to get it work and it was fine; however, i just installed flash and have rebooted 5 times and the phone screen is still stuck at the Motorola symbol upon restart. I can hear emails coming in and i can turn the screen on and off but no go. Looks like I am going to Verizon.

1. download odin here Odin Multi Downloader v4.03.exe
2. download any Of BH_MAN ODIN Ready Rom's
3. download winrar ( google it) to extract the BH_MAN zip file.
4. follow these instruction

I tried to install the r8-bravo-desire-modacocustomrom-withadditions-a2sd+-signed...! This rom got stuck on the white start up screen. I thought that if i cleared the sd card it would install but still the same thing then i just got the white htc screen wich i cant get off and i cant load the recovery to change anything...! Have i bricked my phone?
View 2 Replies View RelatedGot the WSOD on a non-rooted, stock 2.2 incredible last night. Pulling the battery is the only way to turn it off. Recovery and Factory Reset from hboot manager hang at the htc white screen. Clear Storage also goes straight to the white screen. If turned off it'll charge. SD card is not corrupted. Phone was in close proximity to an iphone 3g for maybe an hour. (We'd been comparing the screens then the iphone was placed on top of the incredible while we ate dinner.) Noticed that phone was at the white screen. Battery was not warm. No signs of external damage. Either this is totally random, or the RF from the iphone managed to fry something.

I decided I want to go back to the Stock, so I clicked the "manage backups" part of Clockwork, and "recover" on the image I saved. Next, the phone rebooted, and looked like it was installing the backup image, and rebooted again. However, it will not go past the White AT&T screen. Is my only option to use Odin to give it a factory reset? Or is there an easier way for me to do this?

i am using sense 2.2 rom on my rooted htc hero with no problems on my 16gb microsdhc card. however when i used a kingston 32gb microsdhc i just purchased i can't seem to get it to work. i have formatted the sd card on my computer then i partitioned the card the same way i did with my 16gb card, then i partitioned ext2 to ext3 but when i restarted my phone with the 32gb card inside the screen was stuck on the htc logo. can anybody help please?

I am having a bit of a problem with my Android. So what happened was I downloaded "DroidRootPro" from the market. I rooted my phone with this, installed the 800MHZ ROM image, rebooted and the phone came up great. I was actually surprised on how fast it became. Once the phone came back up, I tried installing one of the custom themes that came with that app (I know I should have left it alone). The phone than rebooted and I was never able to bring it back up. It gets stuck in this endless loop where it tries to boot but doesn�t get past the "Droid" splash screen, it just keeps rebooting every time.
Things I have tried:
-Wipe data/factory reset (in recovery mode), no go.
-Wipe cach partition, no go
-Restore from a "nandroid" backup, no go. I tried pretty much every combination of restores and am unable to bring the phone up.
Is there anyway I can download the factory image that comes with the phone, put it on an SD card and restore to that? I have looked all over but cant find any information on this.
The tab is on restarting problem, I had solve this problem before by restoring farmware through Sales_single_P729BV1.00.01..
But this time I m not able to clear out, it shows only Android Logo. I try to put in FTM mode again, but no success... it is suggested to connect in ADB, but computer wont respond... when I pressing both volume Button it connect and shows com-port, but I can't restore farmware in this mode.
I bought a chinese MTK6589 phone called the Tronsmart TS7 Glacier. I tried to flash CWM recovery with an app called Flashify. I was using the right CWM recovery for my phone, but when it rebooted it opened the normal recovery mode, and then when I tried to reboot, it didn't get past the first logo that comes up... Normally it shows an android logo, then it goes to a little animation with the tronsmart logo, then it's started up. Now it's stuck on the android logo... I've tried reflashing the stock rom from my SD card but I can't do it because it only works in CWM, the installation aborts normally. I've done it before but I got into CWM through a different app called mobileuncle or something. So yeah what I think I need to do is reflash the stock rom, but I can't do it without CWM, and I can't get CWM...
