Android :: Quick Way Of Getting Photo

I just got a HTC Evo and I'm still new to using Android (which seems awesome so far).I send a lot of photos via email to one particular person, up to a dozen times each day. Just this one particular person. Is there a way I can create a quick shortcut for sending a photo to them, and avoid the Share -> Gmail -> type email address. Are you sure you want to share without text, etc, process? I know it's not much, but I do this very frequently and the time adds up.

I could be missing this, but is there a way to send/tag a photo to facebook from the photo itself? The Facebook app for my blackberry lets me do this. If I pull up a photo I just took, I have the option of sending it to Facebook, as well as tagging it. I can't figure out how to do this on my Moment.

Has anyone else experienced a strange problem with the Milestone (running 2.1) camera - in every photo, the right edge shows a thin vertical strip of the next photo! Shows in both Gallery & Media Gallery.. but don't have a similar issue in a video.

Camera app or organizer app that actually moves pictures instead of just displays them differently via a viewing app?
For example it would be great to have photos automatically go into pre-set albums or quickly and easily reorganize them afterwards etc. I know I can manually move them via file managers but looking for a dedicated app with different options/filters etc.

Here are two pics, one from my canon dslr and one from the HTC evo. Both were reduced by Photo bucket because of a file size restriction. Not bad for a cell phone camera, imo. Sorry, but I didn't have time to do some other examples, Canon T1I, 18-55mm lens, set to 8MP, full auto On the left HTC Evo 4g, 8MP, full auto On the right.

I did a search here on PAR2 and QUICK PAR and found nothing. I download binaries from Usenet. These binaries are commonly checked for completeness and if need be, repair, by using a utility called QUICK PAR. It is made for Windows but can be used on Linux using Wine. I am wondering if there is a version or equivalent for use on my Droid X. A Google search turns up nothing.

If you are like me and have been using Quick Profiles (free in the market) to easily change system settings do yourself a favor and check out Quick Profile Pro (about $1.10). I has a very convenient widget to change profiles and now gives you a choice of 115 icons to assign to each profile (I used to use Bettercut to skin the icons - this is much easier). Quick Profiles has always been one of my most trouble free time savers (I have profiles set for my car (turns on my bluetooth and keeps screen on), work (lowers ringtones, turns of wifi and changes wallpaper), home (everything cranked up) and night (sound off). I purchased the addon to show my support for the developer. I had no idea how well thought out and implemented they designed the widget and assignable icons. This is a real keeper

When I DL a pdf file as an attachment to an email, Quickoffice opens it and lets me read it. When I use the OIFileManager I can see the pdf file in the downloads folder on my SD card and it is displayed with a Quickoffice icon. Clicking on the file launches the Quickoffice pdf viewer. When I look on the home menu I cannot find a Quickoffice icon. Where is quickoffice- is it integrated into android OS? I need to search text and/or pdf files for specific text- example: ADA procedure codes for dentistry. I have a list in both pdf and text format but can't find a way to search it for "crown".Is there an app (maybe a part of Quickoffice?) that will search for and highlight text in a text or pdf file?

I updated firmware on my G1 and got nice new search box. Problem is that in setting it say that it can search music, and I checked that but I don't get any result when I try to find it. Does somebody knows why?

Today you can get "Documents to go" for $5.55 (Normally $29.95) but I am not really sure what I would gain over the included Quickoffice ap. I could be wrong but I believe quick office is read only while documents to go allows editing.Anyone else know the difference?

Is there a quick start mode for android emulator. It is a PIA to start the emulator many times since it is very slow. It will be great value to developer if there is a quick start mode which simply get the app loaded without any other unnecessary loadings.

Recently I was asked if I could help someone to get quick-started to android programming.
What would you suggest to tell this person? Would you explain everything by hand or just refer to external links? Which ressources would you recommend? This whole issue should not take too much time...assuming 2-3 hours.
Once my access to this issue was "Professional android application development". Java basics are already preconditioned, so there's no need to explain ANYTHING.
For avoiding any misconceptions: This shall be just a quick start, no reference or something like this, so I just need some keywords and a hint how deeply go through it.

I'm interesting in incorporating the Android UI pattern called "Quick Action". Basically, it's a context menu that doesn't cover up the data that is being acted on. I'd like to implement this but I cannot find an API to help me out or some sample code.

Does anyone have an implementation of this or know what google's standard for adding this to an application?

Great app! You can set almost everything from this one app. Ringer, media, notifications volume. Screen brightness. Toggle WiFi and GPS, check battery strength, turn on LED or screen for flashlight. etc. Remove those butt-ugly toggles from your screen

Whilst browsing in here and on the web for ways to save battery life, I came across an app for turning on and off WiFi, backlight, bluetooth etc. It had a totally different layout to Quick Settings. The screen appeared to have about 12 square buttons, for quick on/off functionality of the usual stuff. WiFi, bluetooth etc. One of the buttons near the bottom right corner was 2G/3G. Does anyone know which app this may be, from my super description? I like the simple one screen does all layout, which was easy to understand. Can't remember if it was from a link in here, or from another site.

I always configure the UI of my mobile phones with english. But I write sms in French, German, English & Spanish. Android does not seem to offer the possibility to quickly change the input language of the keyboard. It looks like UI language both determines keyboard layout and input language, which is EXTREMELY inconvenient for someone using several languages on a daily basis. Does it exist a workaround, an external app or a feature I oversaw to solve this MAJOR drawback?

On my droid x quik office works great to automatically open word and pdf docs. The issue I am having is that once I have downloaded a document I have no way to save it and i can't find it later. I can't find the saved documents or the quick office application anywhere on my phone.

I was wondering about the following scenario: I have an application that periodically needs to do some stuff, and at first I found that starting it as an alarm service was a neat way conserving resources AND being sure that the service would execute. However, my service also needs to know the location of the device, and I found that using getLastKnownLocation does not suffice as the location tends to be drastically outdated. I then tried adding a location listener, and requested location updates as frequently as possible, but then it could still take minutes before any location event was fired. So, now I have it running as a standard background service but I really don't like that approach. Is it possible to force a location fix within limited given that the circumstances enable acquiring a fix at all?

I would like to implement the similar widget as QuickContactBadge from which I can launch some internal activities. I checked out the source code for QuickContactBadge, QuickContactActivity etc and simplified them to accommodate our requests. It can launch and display at correct position. However, I can not see the original view below the quick contact tack no matter how I try. And I found the window created by QuickContactWindow is quite small and I tried to set the background etc. Nothing works. Who can help or give some guidance about how window works? Say, from Activity A, I click on image, I launch a new activity (or window), how can I make the Window of Activity A is still visible? Or more general, what is the best way to achieve similar behavior like QuickContactBadge?
