Great app! You can set almost everything from this one app. Ringer, media, notifications volume. Screen brightness. Toggle WiFi and GPS, check battery strength, turn on LED or screen for flashlight. etc. Remove those butt-ugly toggles from your screen

Whilst browsing in here and on the web for ways to save battery life, I came across an app for turning on and off WiFi, backlight, bluetooth etc. It had a totally different layout to Quick Settings. The screen appeared to have about 12 square buttons, for quick on/off functionality of the usual stuff. WiFi, bluetooth etc. One of the buttons near the bottom right corner was 2G/3G. Does anyone know which app this may be, from my super description? I like the simple one screen does all layout, which was easy to understand. Can't remember if it was from a link in here, or from another site.

But the mobile data option doesn't seem to affect my mobile network toggle. I am guessing this app was meant for other androids. Is there any other app out there as good as this one dedicated to the sprint HTC Hero?

I downloaded both of them last week when I got my EVO, but I had to factory reset for root, and now I can't find them. Could someone test it out?

I believe the app Quick Settings added the [disabled] to the APN file when I attempted to use the Mobile Data Switch. See below. Now Quick Settings Says "No APN Configured". I've emailed the dev. If so, I will remove the [disabled] to restore the file to its original state. Everything seemed to be working fine despite the [disabled] setting though, but I didn't test MMS. Current (modified by Quick Settings?) APN File from my Verizon HTC Droid Incredible:

I used APN Backup & Restore to save the file to the SDCard so I could view and edit the file using a text editor (such as notepad) in windows. You can get APN Backup & Restore on the market for free.
Since upgrading to ICS I seem to have lost the settings option (the 3 vertically aligned dots). Neither do I have the quick controls appearing. It is most noticeable in the browser since the ability to add bookmarks, reload a page, move to prev or next page etc//Other applications may also be suffering from this defect, but it hasn't bothered me (yet).

I can't access my quick setting tiles as the icon is missing from the notification pulldown and my lock screen doesn't work no matter what security I put. If I flash the full gapps they work. What dependencies am I missing?

It allows me to add / remove tile. However, the quick settings remains unchanged.

I'm trying to set up a shortcut to open the JB quick settings window (the one you get by swiping the corner of the status bar, or swiping with two fingers, depending on your preference), and I can't seem to find a command for it anywhere. Not in Tasker, not in the Activities list, and no widget in the Play store that opens it with a tap. Oddly, I can use the Nova Launcher "Nova Actions" menu to create an "expand quick settings" button, but it can only sit on the home screen, while I want to add a button to my quick launch. If I could just create a widget or shortcut that toggles that button it'd work fine, but I can't find the functionality anywhere.

I have a Galaxy S2, more specifically the T-Mobile T989 model, which is known in my country as the Galaxy S2 Plus. It has Android 4.1 Jelly Bean installed and I wonder if I can change the quick settings? I want to add a quick setting to activate/deactivate mobile data since it doesn't appear, but it does in other Galaxy phones with the same Android version.

I find the built in quick lookup app pretty awesome since it has wikipedia, translate and dictionary all combined into one. However, I can't figure out how to open the application directly to lookup other words. And typing in words in the quick search box doesn't look it up either. I'm on Droid Incredible.

Are all the books supplied quick reads? Is this the same on the Kindle reader? If this is the case I won't be buying one, I want the full version of the books!

View 5 Replies View RelatedI've been trying to make my app implement the built in quick search, similar to how it is done in ApiDemos' "app/search/invoke search". I have tried everything from trying to follow different examples, to copying the code exactly as it is in ApiDemos. All I've found for the former have been concerned with older versions of the SDK, and simply not worked. As for the stuff that I can actually run and see working in ApiDemos, I've tried copying the following

This copying gets me a view that looks exactly like the one I'm facing when running ApiDemos, but when I click the search button, in the quick search box, Android always just opens up a browser window, with Google search results for the given query. I simply cannot find the critical component in ApiDemos that tells android that I want to use my own custom code for handling the search request. Both documentation and other online resources seem very lacking when it comes to this.
Is there anyway I can embed my application's settings to global settings screen (resides in launcher as Settings) without modifying the Android Settings application.

It will send text messages that have been sent for a whole day back to certain contacts. Anyway, I've just been wondering what else is a good application for quick reply? I love the interface of the standard messaging application. Sure, I wish I could change some colours, but I'm not going to worry about it as it works flawlessly for me. I just wish more people would start adding a quick reply feature with a feature to turn it off for those that don't care for it. So has anyone come across any good applications like SMS Popup? I'm not really willing to go to Handcent or Chomp when stock app works just perfectly.

View 2 Replies View Relatedwhen you got your phone set up JUST perfect, then blam-o something happens and you have to do a factory wipe of your phone, eliminating all your perfectly placed settings. wouldn't it be nice if there was an app that you could run to STORE all your settings, on your sd card, then if/when you have to do a wipe, OR get a new phone (of the same model) you can run this app and bingo bango, all your settings are just how they were before?
