Android : Get Youtube Links To Popup A Menu Of Which App Want To View It With Again?

I chose a default viewer but before it always asked me if I wanted to use Dolphin HD, Internet (stock), or Youtube app to play mobile youtube videos. I cleared defaults for all three apps but it's still choosing Dolphin to play. Now that wouldn't be a problem but what happens if I use Dolphin is that it completely messes up my Full screen settings and changes the browser to use full screen until i exit and go back into Dolphin.

I've recently been experiencing a series of pop-ups in an Android dialogue box occasionally when I click links that I know are clean.A lot of them are dialogue boxes that say "Congratulations, your US number has been chosen for a gift - press the OK button to continue"
and the only way out is to either press the Okay button or force stop the browser.The browser it most recently happened with has been with Dolphin Mini browser - can't remember if it occurred through my Android's native Internet browser or not, either way it takes me to a site called Mobgifts(dot)org
I did some research and some said it was a virus, but I have Lookout installed on my device and scan it weekly and just did a scan yesterday - all was clean..
TL;DR: Internet links in browser lately have been unescapable diallogue boxes that say "Congrats you won this" and you have no other options than to either force quit or press Okay then exit.

I notice there is popup menu on gmail application once you click on the left checkbox of each message item. If there is no message checked, this menu would disappear. What is that menu? How to implement it?

YouTube links will always open in browser rather than youtube app.
I have tried Boat Browser and Dolphin, and they both behave the same way. If I google search for a youtube video through one of those browsers, and I click the youtube link from the google results... it will go to the youtube mobile page within the browser (rather than open the youtube app and play the video).
How to force the youtube app to always play videos linked from browsers?

I'm having issues with youtube - either during playback or after the playback is completed, when I hit menu, press back or select another video it's force closing on me. Anyone else? I hope it's not a one off case. Maybe I have too much stuff on my phone and something is conflicting.

I tried the apps "Handcent" and "Sms Popup" and set them to automatically display a popup on the lock screen when there is a new sms (similiar to the iPhone).Both apps, however, only display the popup after the lock screen.I guess this has something to do with this "great" touchwiz overlay Samsung is using. Any way to fix this?

Can anyone shed any light on why I'm unable to click and play a youtube clip on an Android handset when placed inside a webview?I've put a very simple app together (it's being extended, but no right away) and it has a web view assigned using the Android SDK.The rest of the webview works as expected (text, images, css etc), however, the YouTube clips will not show, they just show as black or white rectangles (where the video embed should be).We use the same view to display content on the iPhone app equivalent, without any issues.This is using a basic flash embed, the Safari browser on iPhone converts these to H.264 and plays them nicely in QuickTime.Can Android do the same?

I searched the market and the forum but found nothing like this.I think SMS popup is a great app and would love something similar for email that would pop up a box telling me I got an email, who it was from and the subject line with an option to open or ignore.I plan to email the SMS popup developer but I was wondering if anyone else had come across something like this or if anyone else would be interested?I'm going to link the dev to this thread, so if its something you'd like chime in here so he knows there is interest.

I have the Droid by Motorola from Verizon. I'm trying to use a youtube downloader to download youtube videos to my laptop and then convert them to AVI files and drag and drop them to my SD card so that I can view them on my Droid. The problem is the files either don't show up on the card when I attempt to play them on the device if they are in AVI format or if I choose not to change the format only the audio is played by the phone so I can't see any video. Any suggestions? I know this is a possibility because a coworker has done this on a BB Tour. I had him Bluetooth transfer some files and those show and play but the ones I'm attempting to tranfer by dragging and dropping the the files aren't working.

How can I open a context menu for a view without registering it using registerForContextMenu()?
My activity overrides onTouchEvent to detect motion, and if I use registerForContextMenu() it stops working. I'm detecting a long press, so I'd like to forward that request to a method that would build the menu for me, but don't know if it can work that way.

I noticed the youtube news yesterday about its new mobile site, but when i log onto the stock EVO internet browser and Dolphin HD, it looks nothing like the site in the video and still asks me if I want to use HTC Flash Player or Youtube app to play the video.Also it seems to only choose HTC Flash Player now, how do I reset the defaults for this?

In Android, onContextItemSelected has a single MenuItem argument and so it isn't clear how to identify the view selected. MenuItem.getMenuInfo provides access to Contextmenu.ContextMenuInfo, but while both known subclasses provide access to the target view, there does not appear to be an accessor on the interface.One alternative is to save the View provided in onCreateContextMenu in a private class variable which relies on onCreateContextMenu not being called again in the activity before onContextItemSelected. Another is to use the id of the View for the itemId argument of ContextMenu.add. How to stop youtube displaying the page designed for Mobile phones? I just want to view the site in my internet browser the same way as I can on my computer but when I am on youtube and I choose the Desktop view at the bottom of the page it just reverts back to Mobile view instead. I've disabled all the settings in my browser that convert sites to mobile views etc etc. It only does it on youtube and I cant stand the youtube app on my phone. I don't want any other apps or anything like that I just want to view it like I do on my comp.

i've been watchin' YouTube via the bookmarks w/o a problem. well i today i switched it "desktop" view b/c i wanted to share a video from there (which i did). however i do not see a link where i can switch back to either "mobile or touch" views. also the YouTube app that comes w/ the phone has YET to work since i got the phone. is this (app not working) common? & can some1 tell me how to switch back to touch view? i'm hoping that i do not have to reset my phone.

I have a tab activity with three tabs and I want to display a listview in each tab. The list populates correctly, but for some reason I can not get the context menu or itemclicklistener to recognize gestures on the listviews. Anyone have any ideas why this might be?
