I tried the apps "Handcent" and "Sms Popup" and set them to automatically display a popup on the lock screen when there is a new sms (similiar to the iPhone).Both apps, however, only display the popup after the lock screen.I guess this has something to do with this "great" touchwiz overlay Samsung is using. Any way to fix this?

View 10 Replies View RelatedI just got a "new" samsung galaxy s3 a few days ago and the only problem I've come across so far is that none of the sms pop up apps I download work. I've used SMS Popup on my previous phones in conjunction with Handcent SMS with no problem. I'm frustrated because I can't figure out why NONE of the apps, SMS 7, Popup Notifier, or SMS Popup, will work. And when I say doesn't work I mean I can open the app and change the settings, but nothing ever happens when I get a text - no popup, no notification, no sound, no LED light. But I've tried the Handcent pop up and it works just fine?

View 9 Replies View RelatedI've used SMS Popup and Handcent's popup feature and both reply to messages while the phone is in my pocket, and obviously they are jibberish and it annoys some of my friends (I don't even realize they texted me most of the time).
Is there any way to have some sort of unlocking feature when the phone 'wakes up'? Has anyone else figured out a way around this problem?
When I get a reply to a text I sent / replied to, the popup for Handcent shows the first message in the string of texts. I would prefer that it showed the most recent text (the incoming text). Is there any way to change this?

I wanted an app which shows an sms as a popup so i downloaded SMS Popup and I have disabled the reminder as I also wanted a reminder for missed calls, so I downloaded Missed Reminder. I have setup reminder for both calls and sms. However I have noticed a few problems. After I receive an SMS if I click 'Close' or 'Reply' in the SMS Popup window, the notification of the sms in the notification bar closes, however I still get reminders from the Missed Reminder. This is also the case with missed calls. If i slide down the notification bar and click 'Clear', I still get reminders (vibration and beep) of the missed call. Does anyone else notice this with this combination of apps?

I am really digging this phone and have no intentions of going back ever. I see the little indicator at the top of the phone but I wanted something more noticeable or annoying.is there anything better?Figured I would ask you folks what you use or recommend for this phone. It won't stop...I also had it connect to our WiFi and...just keeps popping up with Sending...

As for facebook? How do I get to alert me in pop-up format when I get a message or replied to in facebook? I tried in settings and can't seem to see anything that I can tab for it to pop-up? The only way is when I recieve an email update, and there it shows someone replied to you in facebook or requested you as a friend? Along with email? I would like to see that pop-up like my email, text, etc. but from facebook alone if possible.
The Home sample in the android sdk doesn't implement the Add item, which bring up the "Add to home screen" popup window, and Notifivcations item in onCreateOptionsMenu and onOptionsItemSelected. How to do that like the default home?

View 3 Replies View RelatedUp until yesterday, the pop up screen would always come on, whether the phone was locked or not; it's how I had to do in the settings. Now, all of a sudden, if the phone is locked, the pop-up screen no longer comes on. The screen turns on, i see the notification in the status bar, but the pop-up screen no longer shows until i unlock and use the pattern to unlock. I changed nothing at all and the settings are as they were.

View 3 Replies View RelatedI just loaded up bugless beast 0.4(2.2) and noticed that for the default messaging app I was getting a pop up window every time I got a text. I found no way to disable this. So I finally decided to just load Handcent and use that. So I disabled all notifications for the default app, and set up Handcent. The pop up options are not selected yet I still get this stupid popup!
View 2 Replies View RelatedIs it possible to get more than one popup window in the browser?Popups are accepted in settings.We are using a website in my work that redirect first to one popup (and thats ok) but from there it redirect to another popup and its here the phone blocks the popup with the message tah one popup are allready open.Before 2.2 the first site open as a new site and not as an popup and the second as a popup and that was ok.I have tryed original browser, opera and Dolphin with the same result.
