I notice there is popup menu on gmail application once you click on the left checkbox of each message item. If there is no message checked, this menu would disappear. What is that menu? How to implement it?

In common Android Gallery you can see nice popup menu, Gallery--- >menu(More) or menu (Share).

View 2 Replies View RelatedI chose a default viewer but before it always asked me if I wanted to use Dolphin HD, Internet (stock), or Youtube app to play mobile youtube videos. I cleared defaults for all three apps but it's still choosing Dolphin to play. Now that wouldn't be a problem but what happens if I use Dolphin is that it completely messes up my Full screen settings and changes the browser to use full screen until i exit and go back into Dolphin.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI tried the apps "Handcent" and "Sms Popup" and set them to automatically display a popup on the lock screen when there is a new sms (similiar to the iPhone).Both apps, however, only display the popup after the lock screen.I guess this has something to do with this "great" touchwiz overlay Samsung is using. Any way to fix this?
View 1 Replies View RelatedI searched the market and the forum but found nothing like this.I think SMS popup is a great app and would love something similar for email that would pop up a box telling me I got an email, who it was from and the subject line with an option to open or ignore.I plan to email the SMS popup developer but I was wondering if anyone else had come across something like this or if anyone else would be interested?I'm going to link the dev to this thread, so if its something you'd like chime in here so he knows there is interest.

Im having an issue with my gmail notifications. I still want to receive gmail notifications on my home screen (the app icon where the image shows how many emails) however I dont want it to play a sound.
I googled how to remove the sound, but all the walk throughs start with tapping a 'menu' button (three vertical square dots) at the bottom left in the gmail app. I dont see this menu button - see image below

View 3 Replies View RelatedI have an Options menu up and running in my Android application and I've overridden the onCreateOptionsMenu, onOptionsItemSelected and onPrepareOptionsMenu methods to customize the menu a little. My question is related to keeping the Options menu open after the user clicks on a menu item. Basically, I'd like to be able to hide the menu until the user clicks on the device menu key. Once the user clicks on this key, I'd like to be able to hold the menu in place regardless of how many times the user clicks on menu items. If the user wants to hide the Options menu, they'd just need to click on the device menu key again. Is this type of interaction supported (or even advisable).

View 5 Replies View RelatedIn the Android Mail application, when you click the checkbox next to an inbox message, a little bar with buttons (mark unread, delete, star) appears at the bottom of the screen. I'd like to do something similar, but I don't think I'm going about it the right way. What I've done is add a LinearLayout below my ListView and marked the visibility GONE. When a user clicks a checkbox next to a list item, the LinearLayout's visibility is marked VISIBLE. Unfortunately, checkboxes stop working. By this I mean the skin on the checkbox does not change from unchecked to checked; and I can't figure out why. (...or rather, this is the way I HAD it. I removed it once I couldn't fix it and, since trying to add it again, it just crashes, but I digress)
