I'm having issues with youtube - either during playback or after the playback is completed, when I hit menu, press back or select another video it's force closing on me. Anyone else? I hope it's not a one off case. Maybe I have too much stuff on my phone and something is conflicting.

View 1 Replies View RelatedYesterday morning my phone started freezing..It always freezes but like real bad so i took the battery out and put it back in and turned it on and it went all the way to the screen where samsung is across it and black in the background and stayed there for 20 minutes and it wouldnt boot past that so i did it again and this time it stayed there for 40 minutes so i called technical support and they refreshed my device and that didnt work so they said to bring it to a store to have it checked out...
I have done this before and all they did was reset the whole phone so i didnt wanna waste my time waiting for the phone to be ready to be picked up so i did a hard reset myself and wiped the cache.It is force closing everythng and still freezes..Is there anything else i can do or am i going to be forced to go to the store?.....
I've debloated my sammy stock rom and installed the modified Youtube application. [URL] ......However this one keeps force closing. The same happens with the original application.
To debloat my rom i've used this CWM script (made by me) perhaps did i removed a bit to much.. [URL] ....
Logcat is attached. (in a lame .zip file because XDA cant accept .txt lager than 512 kb )
I've performed the next steps in attempt to fix it myself:
- Reinstalled the app
- Delete its data
- Wipe cache
- Wipe Dalvik
- Wipe data
- Fixed permissions
I'm having a problem with the stock YouTube app. It keeps force closing on me. It was working fine yesterday, it just stop working today. I tried restarting my phone, but it still force closes on me.
View 4 Replies View RelatedI was trying to view a regular PC version of a site and somebody in a comment said its easier to fake a User Agent through about:debug so I did and no since I changed it to desktop it wont open and force closes. I saved a log of the crash if you guys want to see it. I just came from the iPhone world so this stuff is a tad different.
View 3 Replies View Relatedi got the phone i have not used the stock launcher, i've always used launcher pro, but today i started having force closes, i have turned the phone off, done a battery pull, uninstalled and installed again. But i am still having force closes, i have not even been able to run launcherpro, i just get a black screen and a force close. Any tips on what to do will be helpful, i tried ADW and dont like it very much, i am using stock right now.

When I am having a conversation thread and I am responding, I open settings, attach, from camera, take a picture, and hit save. Once I hit save, Handcent force closes. I have tried to uninstall it and re-install it. I tried the same thing on the stock app and at first it didn't work but then I went into rom manager and went into JT's stuff and downloaded the stock MMS.apk, that did the trick for the stock messaging app but Handcent is still doing the same thing.
I've got my work email set up on the default mail app. It's an exchange email. It will work just fine for a few days but after a while I will get either a force close or a "connection error" message. the first time this happened. I removed the account and started it from scratch. Same thing happened. It worked for a while and then these errors.So I guess my question is, does anyone know how to fix this? Or, does anyone know a good (free) mail app that will work with MS exchange?

When I try to go to google.com or use the google search bar on the main sceen it starts to load, and before it finishes its closes the browser. It happens every time, with no forse close screen. It didn't always do this since I updated to 2.1, it just started recently. Has anyone else had this happen or perhaps knows what causes this?
So the new youtube app is only available for froyo but someone over at xda has ported it over for 2.1. has anyone tried it? if so, does it work on the moment? i'm being a wimp and don't wanna be the guinea pig to try it

I cannot play youtube videos on the sprint network or on wifi. Everytime without fail I get a message saying "cannot play at this time"
For some reason, youtube videos are not working on my phone. They were working lasst night!? I am running the HQ youtube app FYI and am on Dd10. Why did it suddenly stop working? Now when I click into videos, it says cannot play video.
View 17 Replies View RelatedThis just started happening recently: ill be watching videos in high quality, then all of a sudden ill click to watch another video and go through the menu to set it to high quality and only get home page and settings (high quality is supposed to be the third option).
I have connection, etc but the option just decides not to show up and the only way I got it back the last few times its done it is by turning the phone off/on. Anybody else run into this or am I missing something?
Just installed chomp sms and then sms pop up. When I tried to launch the sms pop up to adjust settings...force close. I do get pop ups though. Slick. Like Chomp also.

I am a very simple phone user, no rooting (I don't even know what that is, even after slightly glancing over the "All Things Root" forum). I had the guy at the Sprint store try to fix my Moment for me, and he did something to where my screen resembled this at the bottom. He just showed me what it could do and not really thinking about asking him how he did it, I went home knowing I would have a new phone in two days (because we couldn't get my problem fixed with just simple swipe & clean and updates). I went in to get my new phone today and put all my apps back on my phone and there wasn't any new apps or widgets other than the ones I had put on their originally. And of course the guy who was there to help me two days ago, wasn't there today and the guy who helped me today had NO idea what I was talking abut said it was probably an app he downloaded onto my phone. Anyways... how do you get that new screen? The guy had told me it was less glitch and I like how clean it looks, plus it would clear up a lot of the clutter I have, so I can add different clutter.
View 3 Replies View RelatedI forgot my HD Camcorder and so used my phone's camcorder. And that is when I noticed the quality is horrible compared to video shot under 1.5. Video shot under 1.5 is not blocky at all and is clear. Under 2.1 it is blocky and poor. Anyone else with this issue and is there a fix in case I need to use it again? I do have it set on HIGH quality in the menu.

Well, My mom has had a Moment for some time now. After looking at it today the first thing I noticed that its really slow and constantly force closes. She doesn't know anything about the phone other than its really slow lol.
It appears to of been rooted (I think my cousin rooted it for her) so I guess I need to know what steps I need to take to speed it up and to get it to stop force closing. LMK if I need to provide any more info,
HTC Sense keeps force closing on my EVO. I have turned the phone off and back on and the same happens. If I switch to a HTC scene, as opposed to a Custom scene, it works fine for awhile. I had it working almost a whole day, but HTC sense starting force closing again, once it starts, it keeps doing it, until you change HTC scenes again. If you change to a custom scene, the force close continues. I disabled HTC sense. Now I can't turn HTC sense back on, but I don't really want to if I am going to keep having the same issue.
For now I need to know if anyone else is having HTC Sense force close on them, and if there is a fix, or if it is known what is causing it. I will worry about how to turn it back after I find out why it's doing it and can fix it. I did a search for HTC Sense force closes and could not find anything, so I started this thread.
Now my sms keeps force closing. Even if I just have 2 texts. Anyone else have this issue? I don't want a new phone because I have a full skin protector on.
View 7 Replies View RelatedI installed ADW.Launcher 2 times now. But for some reason I'm getting a lot of force closes. Then when I hit the icon at the bottom to display all my apps; that's even messed up sometime. Is anybody else having this issue? I'm thinking that maybe Beatutful widges or Bettercut is the problem but I'm not sure. I really don't want to uninstall all my apps and install them one at time just to find out what's the problem. But that may be my only choice.
View 3 Replies View RelatedI am currently running CL14 stock with Open Home and I wanted to let you security conscious folks know about a security issue I discovered. I hit the end button and pulled up my phones lock screen. Decided to test the new emergency dialer and when I pulled that up Open Home had force closed. When I hit end it returned me to the main screen w/o me entering my combination. I assume this could happen with any force closed app so although it's a rare issue that something FCs in the background it is possible and is a security issue. Just a heads up.
