When I set up an event using the calendar on my Motorola Droid it then adds an invitation to the event on gcal on my computer. This is particularly problematic when I add an event to shared calendars, where these calendars are not used for invitation purposes but instead for availability.

Switched from ATT now cant get sms reminders from gCal
This is crazy - Google (and by default Moto) and Verizon should have worked out a clean way to get phones switched over.
Since I keep the same number (as I expect most people do), and since I have not gotten any gCal sms reminders, I went into gCal >settings> mobile> and re-entered my phone number in order to activate the send verification code button, and got this msg Phone notifications disabled.
Anyone have any ideas? There must/should be an easy solution.

I have my Gmail account set up and am now using Google Calendar but my husband will send me Outlook invitations. I receive the email but there is no place (on my phone) for me to accept or decline it. I realize I can do that if I'm on the PC but that's not always possible. I have read some previous threads where people got it to work but b/c I'm a noobie, I don't understand all the lingo Can anyone explain how to make this work, assuming there is a way?

I'm almost in disbelief that something as simple as a screenshot app isn't available (or built-in!) for an unrooted phone. It just seems like such a normal thing to do.Is it possible that in the future an unrooted phone can have an app to do this, or is there something about Android itself that doesn't allow it?

If I create an event in Google calendar on the desktop, I can schedule it to repeat every other week. I cannot find this choice if I create an event on the android calendar. On my Captivate, I only see weekly, monthly, etc. Is there a way to schedule events to recur every other week on the Android? Maybe I'm just missing it. I learn new things on this phone every day.

The Remotecall app in Playstore still requires me to pick up my phone in order to actually hear something..
its got all the other features i'd like to use: answer calls from my PC, make calls from pc (from , for example, the outlook contactlist), call Log capability; but i have to pick up my phone when i probably can just hear it through my headphone (connected to PC)
I think i should be looking for some sort of voip server on my phone and let my computer act as voip client, but i'm not entirely sure about that.
My application process incoming/outgoing calls and shows some UI. So I use PhoneState Listener to listen changes such as CALL_STATE_IDLE , CALL_STATE_RINGING ,CALL_ STATE_ OFFHOOK. on receiving call to my BroacastReceiver for incoming/outgoing call. Most of the time things work properly. But sometimes my application does not receive events of Phone State Listener and hence it is not able to change/clear UI.From user feedback this typically occurs on HTC Hero. But I have came across this issue sometime on other devices also.My first guess is that android is killing my application in midway during call due to memory requirement. If so, is there any way to ensure that android does not my kill application under such situation .

I have a calender for my school schedule. I usually like my phone to ring, but during class I can't have that happen. I miss a lot of calls because I always have my phone in vib or silent because of school. Is there a way that I can the phone in vibrate when im in class or other meeting type events? I'm using the calender that came with my phone synced to my google calender.I'm not sure if the calendar software being used on my phone is an android default, htc, or google calender software. View 3 Replies View RelatedI'm having an issue with my Exchange calendar. I currently sync my calendar and email through Exchange. Events added to my outlook calendar via computer show up on my phone and work perfectly. But, when I add events to my phone calendar, my only available calendars are my google calendars and my PC Sync. I never use PC sync. It does not give me the option of adding events to my Exchange calendar.
I had to reset my Exchange account after the Froyo update, and I thought that I had everything working properly. I don't add events to my outlook calendar through my phone very often, so it's likely that this has been an issue since Froyo. Has anyone else run into this problem or have any ideas how to fix it?

View 25 Replies View RelatedI keep having this minor problem when usin msn talk on my galaxy s, nothing really big but anyhow. When I log in with my phone it changes my display name to something that I can change on my phone, but because I can't get any really special characters to work (well actually just one, D with a stroke) I can't get the same name on my phone as my normal msn on computer has. Okay well I could live with that, but when I log off from my phone it doesn't revert the change but it changes the display name on my computer's msn too! It gets really annoying to change my display name every single time I log in with my computer. And it does the exact same thing with my personal message. So the question is, can this be prevented in any way? ps: does anyone know how I can get that stock sms app to mark every sms as "read" when I've responded?
