Android :: Way To Generate Key Events On Foreground App?
Jun 30, 2010I am new android developer. I am writing an application to receive data from barcode scanner. I am able to receive data from barcode scanner via bluetooth connection. If user open notepad or other application, I want to display the data to the application, so I want to generate key events on foreground application. I am trying to find a way but I can't find. Anyone please tell me how to do?

View 2 Replies View RelatedHTC Incredible :: Random Restarts - Lost Contacts - Messages - Random App Data
Jun 16, 2010I've had my Incredible since 4/28, and everything has been working smoothly up until about last Thursday night when it just restarted out of the blue while I was listening to music. Then right after it booted up, it restarted again, then again about seven more times. I got fed up and took out the SD card and it seemed to stop after that, so I haven't put the SD card back in since then.
Just now, Wednesday, about a week later, I was browsing around on the internet and all of a sudden, it restarted, and then again, and again, and again. I've read that it is because of poor signal strength or something like that so I had just enough time to put it in airplane mode before it restarted again.
Side note, that theory about it being caused by poor signal seems to make sense because the first time it happened to me I was out of town in a city that gets very bad coverage with Verizon, and now today when it started happening again was at my house where for some reason I get very bad service with the incredible, my old phone worked perfectly fine in my house but the incredible gets terrible service, and so does my brother's Droid. In fact, about two weeks ago I got my first dropped call on Verizon in about three years, and it was in my house.
So anyways, I decided to put it in airplane mode, and just after I put it in airplane mode it restarted again. Then when it booted back up my Helix Launcher 2 home screen went back to the standard Helix Launcher 2 icons, I go into my messages and everything is gone, my contacts are all gone, everything is gone. I go to the app menu and all my apps are still there, but when I start up an app, all the custom settings are default now. I went into the settings and my accounts are all still there. I click on internet and I get a terms of service agreement, it's as if I am booting it up for the first time, but for some reason my apps and accounts are all still there.
I turn airplane mode off thinking it might have something to do with it not being connected to my google account, and I restart it again and everything is still gone. I don't know what to do, has this happened to anyone before? I feel like there should be a way for me to get this stuff back since my apps are still there and my accounts are still synced, but random things are missing like my contacts and messages etc. This is really starting to get annoying, I have insurance and everything, but I really don't want to exchange it for another one because I've read that other people who have had there phones replaced have still had the same rebooting problem, even after going through multiple replacements.

Aug 31, 2010I am currently using the calendar that came on my Captivate. I like that it syncs with Google. The problem I am having is in scheduling repeating events. If I create an event in Google calendar on the desktop, I can schedule it to repeat every other week. I cannot find this choice if I create an event on the android calendar. On my Captivate, I only see weekly, monthly, etc. Is there a way to schedule events to recur every other week on the Android? Maybe I'm just missing it. I learn new things on this phone every day.

So I use PhoneState Listener to listen changes such as CALL_STATE_IDLE , CALL_STATE_RINGING ,CALL_ STATE_ OFFHOOK. on receiving call to my BroacastReceiver for incoming/outgoing call. Most of the time things work properly. But sometimes my application does not receive events of Phone State Listener and hence it is not able to change/clear UI.From user feedback this typically occurs on HTC Hero. But I have came across this issue sometime on other devices also.My first guess is that android is killing my application in midway during call due to memory requirement. If so, is there any way to ensure that android does not my kill application under such situation .

General :: N7000 - Phone Turns Off At Random?
Jan 15, 2014I have a note 1 N7000, and each time the screen began flickering and after that it shut down. This got worse after flashing a cyanogenmod rom. By plugging in the charger the battery seemed empty, but wasn't. After a while the battery indicator used to show charged 70 % or more. Put the charger cable off and the situation repeated after a short time of usage. Last night it started turning off at boot and wouldn't turn on unless on charge. I flashed a original JB rom since the problem doesn't happen when on recovery/download mode. but now it does it even when connected on charge.

Aug 28, 2010I'm having an issue with my Exchange calendar. I currently sync my calendar and email through Exchange. Events added to my outlook calendar via computer show up on my phone and work perfectly. But, when I add events to my phone calendar, my only available calendars are my google calendars and my PC Sync. I never use PC sync. It does not give me the option of adding events to my Exchange calendar.
I had to reset my Exchange account after the Froyo update, and I thought that I had everything working properly. I don't add events to my outlook calendar through my phone very often, so it's likely that this has been an issue since Froyo. Has anyone else run into this problem or have any ideas how to fix it?

Aug 15, 2010For example last night I went swimming. After my swim I got out and texted my friend "Hey man I'm done swimming, whats up"? Today I check my phone and I see that the same message got sent again randomly. I did not send the text again but somehow my phone re-sent that text, and literally Erased the original message that I sent myself.
Same thing happened the other night - I sent a text apologizing to a friend that I couldn't hang out with her. The next day the text got re-sent to her somehow, and she responded with "what are you talking about?". I was like "Idk wtf happened my phone is randomly re-sending texts to people". What's going on? I don't think this ever happened before the latest software update.

Mar 11, 2010I finally was able to unlock my Cliq from the T-mobile network to the At&t network, and I can now make calls and text. I am receiving a text that says "122 Error Invalid Number. Please re-send using a valid 10 digit mobile number or valid short code. 0605040710000041637469766174653A64743D36", but I haven't even sent any text messages.. It started doing that right after I successfully unlocked the phone. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
