why does weather bug show up advanced task killer even inside the 6 hour time frame I set up for it to update. Wondering If I use the weather bug short cut on my home screen and not the WB widget will that stop it from ever opening/updating unless I open it by tapping the shortcut icon.

and a folder with my most used apps
Is there any way to get a shortcut, app or widget on the home screen that takes you to the battery usage list? its a pain to do settings, about, battery use.

It's great for a day of snowboarding when you only need the essentials but need the battery to last! The battery was only at 75% by the end of the day for me. I LOVE the beautiful weather widget and the corresponding live wallpaper. My only question is if anyone knows if it does wetaher alerts like the weather channel widget does. I love TWC widget as it has awesome wetaher alert capability along with an easily accessible radar map that's fullly interactive - anything similar on beautiful weather?

View 4 Replies View RelatedSo since the 2.1 OTA my weather widget will display the city, but no weather icon. if i sync it manually, it will show up. with 1.5 it would update every 3 hours, regardless if i had Background data on or off (i normally keep it off).
so now with 2.1 it wont sync unless i have BG data on, or do it manually. any way around this?
It just says 'my location' on the home screen, shows the time but not the weather.
View 6 Replies View RelatedI tried removing it and adding it back about ten times and it still won't show the weather..just says "my location" under the clock. If I click on the clock and load it, I can then click on the clock and it will load the weather screen, updated and all...but it still refuses to load it on the home screen with the time. Happened a few days after froyo update. How can I get the weather back as part of the clock widget??

Mine worked for a day and now I get the location but no weather update.
All other locations display all info fine.
Im in Australia on Vodafone - although from the previous mentioned thread seems to be software related rather than carrier location
So I got the 2.2 Update. If I try adding the News & Weather widget, the weather is always wrong. Always has the sun on all night and temperature is wrong too. I checked all options of course, should work fine. Has anyone else encountered this?

It also used to update the weather every hour and show a sun in the day and a moon at night but now even at 12 at night it still shows the sun. I've also set the weather sync in settings to update ever hour. does anyone know what it could be thats different in my phone now?

View 4 Replies View RelatedOn my news and weather app the weather does not show up therefore does not show up in the multimedia dock at night. I have tried zip code and geolocation. It keeps saying when i refresh weather info unavailable. IS anyone else having this problem? This just started happening yesterday morning prior to that i had no problems with it. The news portion is working fine.
View 8 Replies View RelatedMy wife really likes the weather animations with the stock Sense UI weather widget. However, she is running LP and cannot use that widget anymore. Does anyone know of a weather/clock widget that still gives you those animations that can be used with LP?
I have beautiful widgets currently, but it doesn't show the full screen animations like she likes (windshield wipers if it is raining, bright sunlight when sunny, etc.).
One of the things I liked about Sense (I'm rooted now and running the Second Wave ROM) was the HTC weather animations when the screen was unlocked. After installing Widget Locker, I noticed an option to turn them on and now I have them back! I also installed the Weather & Toggle Widget and installed the weather skin that looks just like the Sense weather with the flip clock.The annoying part is that when it's sunny, or partly sunny, the "sun animation" from Sense doesn't perfectly align with the Weather & Toggle Widget weather icon. I know, I know, it's a minor problem and goes away when the animation is done, but the lack of symmetry sometimes annoys the hell out of me.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI'm looking for an app or widget or shortcut or something that will force the phone to lock. Right now the phone locks after 10 minutes. However, if a situation arises where I need to lock the phone immediately there's no option to do that. There is an option under Settings to trigger on power button push. I'm not a huge fan of that since I use the power button to switch off the phone when I don't need it (to save battery). If nothing exists I might try the power button option.

I downloaded Beautiful Widgets (totally awesome, by the way) and I just want to confirm how the GPS toggle widget works since it seems to just be a shortcut to a setting in the OS as opposed to the wifi and Bluetooth toggle widgets which do their own thing. When you tap the GPS toggle widget it, it takes you the "location & security settings" part of the OS settings. I'm assuming that at this point you either check/uncheck the "Use GPS satellites" to turn on/off the GPS chip in this phone? Can I leave it unchecked and just before I need to get some directions or navigation, turn it back on? What I'm getting at is: Can I turn it on and off according my need for it at any given moment?
View 4 Replies View RelatedRight now I'm using the Pattern Lock for my Note 2. Using Elixer2's single widget set to enable/disable the pattern lockscreen, it seems to randomly work. I've made sure to allow admin rights to Elixer2.
I'd like to be able to lock the screen when at work, and not have it enabled when at home.
The Elixer widget is very random. Sometimes it'll work, sometimes it'll work after a delay, after I try to open some apps, etc.
I am looking for an APK of the yr.no widget that seems to be gone from the Market. It was the one with multiple 4x2, 4x1 and 2x1 layouts. If anyone has it can you share please?

View 3 Replies View RelatedThe Weather program that came with EVO gives me the weather where I am which is pretty much pointless as I can just look out the window. It knows where I am and shows the city and state. But if I try to add this city ans state as a location it tells me it can't find that city and state. What I want to do is to add my office, home and summer home locations so I can toggle between them (or let the phone cycle between them) so when I am at one, I will know the weather at the other two but even though it knows these locations while I am there, it doesn't allow me to add them. I think there are zillions of weather apps in the Market. Any insights on which will do what I want?
