Nov 10, 2010I'm trying to mass send texts (about 100 at a time) but as soon as I press send - every single one of them fails to send. It just fails and all of the messages just sit there in the 'undelivered messages' section. When I press 'retry sending all' it all just fails immediately, without even trying. I don't care if takes one hour, two hours, 12 hours, a whole day to send em all, just send them texts!

Oct 9, 2010Basically my Wildifre won't send texts, yet it will receive them fine! It says "unable to send message after several attempts" Even though I have full reception, can make & receive calls fine, and can receive texts, just can't always send texts (although they sometimes do send!) My text settings are all correct, so it's not that. Anyone have similar problem??? It's really annoying me big time that a "smartphone" can't even send a simple bloody text!

Dec 15, 2013I can't seem to be able to send texts through the default messaging app. Calls and data works. Restarting my phone seems to temporarily fix my issue. I have full network bars and have tried switching carriers. I'm also on Android 4.3 on Samsung Galaxy S3.
The weird thing is that I can send texts through Google Hangouts app, but not the android messaging app.

May 19, 2010I installed the Quick Settings App a while back because my brother said it was a good app. I didn't really use it so I uninstalled it. But now I can't send picture texts (MMS). He can't either. I found a thread which talks about a fix but the fix doesn't work. I started this thread because the title of that thread isn't very clear and it keeps getting buried. how to fix this without doing a hard reset? I would really like to avoid a hard reset.

Aug 21, 2010I?ve had my HTC desire for about 3 weeks until now not had any problems, but now i can?t seem to make or receive calls or text. When I try to ring someone it just beeps and ends the call. When someone rings me it says unavailable. Nor can i send or receive texts. I?ve spoken to my network operator and everything is fine on their end and also got a new sim card from them just in case it was a sim card fault. Anyone know what the problem could be?

Anyways I'm having a weird intermittent problem when I send texts through Hangouts and I'm not sure whats causing the issue. I've had Hangouts send roughly a dozen texts through thinking they were picture texts. I've had my friends answer me back saying "I didn't receive the picture", and I never tried to send a pic?I'm also not really keen on Hangouts, whats a simple to use, bug free messaging app?

Feb 17, 2013OK so i just got this phone a few days ago and now I cant send texts or make phone calls but I can do everything else like use the internet receive texts etc. I had another issue earlier today where my phone shut off randomly and wouldnt turn back on when i knew it ha almost full battery. I took out the battery the sim and then out them back in no luck eventually i took out the s pen and it worked. A few hour later i got home and tried to send and text and no luck. Ive tried everything i cleared the Google services framework cache and text message app cache Ive tried another texting app and even restored it to factory settings. still same issue. What i can do next. I'm on Verizon and bought the phone off amazon wireless.

Aug 15, 2010Even after numerous factory resets, through both the Volume Down+Send+End and Settings>Privacy>Factory Reset methods, my Eris has been unable to send or receive texts, and will not allow me to send or receive calls. When I try to text, I get an SMS error with Cause Code: 34 and Error Class: 3. When I try to call, I get an automated error saying that my phone can't be authenticated at this time, and am advised to call #8899. Even after doing so, I get the same authentication error. Wi-Fi seems to work correctly, and my Google and Facebook accounts all sync pretty much perfectly. Is anyone else having any kind of problem like this? And, either way, does anyone know of any possible alternatives that may fix the problem besides a total replacement of the phone?

I can't send a text message, and whenever I attempt to send a message, it simply comes back saying "Message Not Sent". It is highly frustrating.I have been into the Phone Information, under Testing, and it says that my GSM Disconnects is inactive, and the fail is because No Error. It was working fine yesterday, but then out of nowhere it stopped working, I've been asking friends from different carriers, emails, etc to send me TXTs and MMS but I still can't receive them, I contacted my Network and they did OTA update, I even did it manually deleting the APN searching for the network etc. but same issue, I can send txts/mms but I can NOT receive them. any suggestions?

Feb 1, 2012Got a problem with my new Samsung galaxy S2 that's stumping.Several times a day, for several minutes at a time, I'm unable or send or revive text messages. During this ~5 min window I am also unable to make or receive calls. Outgoing texts will time out and outgoing call just stay at "dialing" and then time out. The issue resolves itself after a few minutes.
NOTES:
• This started when I switched to an iPhone on Sprint from my Samsung Epic 4g on Sprint. Thinking it was the iPhone issue, I switched to a Galaxy SII... which does the exact same thing.
• I have signal bars the whole time
• my girlfriend, who shares the cell plan and my house never has this issue (she has an Evolution 4g)
• tried updating the PRL, profile and even had Sprint reset my MSID#.
• happened on stock EK02 ROM, and rooted EL29 roms.

Nov 5, 2010I have the Behold II through T Mobile and when I'm on the road and in certain places I will have full bars but no 3g, or wifi. When I try to send a text it says "Unable to send text, will send once service becomes avalible" When I try to make a call it says service unavalible.
It tells me I have full bars, and when I go to network selection, it doesnt matter what network i choose or whats avalible it wont connect to it, a message will pop up and say "Network with limited service avalible, search for network" ..if i say yes it just does the same thing all over again, and if i say no it goes into automatic mode and wont let me do anything once again..
I have full bars, does that not matter? If I have to have 3g then why would it tell me i have a full signal when I really dont.

Nov 22, 2011My phone is the Droid X.
1. The main thing is that my texts won't send anymore when I turn my screen off or even exit out of the text message window. I have to keep my phone on and on that screen for at least 5 minutes until it finally sends. Before this, I could just text, send it, turn my screen off, and put it in my pocket and not worry about it sending. With my job and my life, I can't be doing this. I need a fix for this if possible.
2. This problem isn't as big as the other two but someone will send me one text and I will receive 2-6 times. I'll either receive all of them at once, or I will receive one text, and then 5 minutes later get it again, and then again 5 more minutes, and so on and so on. Now this can get very annoying when I am quickly texting and I keep getting texts like 15 times. I need a fix for this as well if possible.
3. One of the most annoying things about all this is my keyboard is not typing. I'll click on the "insert message here" box and start typing but the letters won't appear. The word suggestions will appear and whatnot acting like I am typing but it won't. My only temporary solution to this is exiting out and going back into the text but it doesn't seem to actually work as I am finding myself sitting there for about 10 minutes exiting and entering back into the texts over and over.

"from 5th October, 30 million customers the combined customer base of Orange and T-Mobile in the UK - will be offered the opportunity to access both networks, enabling them to make calls and send texts in more places in the UK for no extra cost."
This is great news from those suffering from sub-par reception, and im pretty sure will obliterate the competition in terms of available phone signal.
