Could any please tell me where i could purchase a new touch screen for my LG GW 620.
I was kind of bothered by the dim piss colored lights on my old one. They are almost as white and bright as the touch buttons that were on my old droid incStill wish the time out on them could be longer.

View 2 Replies View RelatedJust a quick question about the Captivate. I just got myself an HTC Aria and I love how easy it is to use the touch screen on it. Its extremely responsive. Now my sister has the SamSung Instinct on Sprint and the touch screen is horrible compared to HTCs touch on the Aria. Im thinking about taking the HTC back to AT&T and getting the Samsung Captivate. I am just worried about the touch screen on it and if it will be like the Instincts? If the touch is as good as HTCs Ill get it. If its not, then Ill stick with the Aria because despite its size, its an extremely fun and responsive phone. Any thoughts?

View 7 Replies View RelatedIs there such a thing for the HTC desire? also, is there a app that lets you see how many multi touch points the htc desire has? i saw some youtube vids where that have this app and they put as many fingers as they can on the screen and scribble around.
View 2 Replies View RelatedI cooked this up and wanted to share. By following the instructions here I was able to customize my N1 homescreen with the 3rd greatest British rock band; The Who! You will need ADW or LauncherPro and Desktop Visualizer and of course photo editing skills if you want to make a custom screen.
View 5 Replies View RelatedFunny topic maybe, but I feel like I have a decent hold on app development, widget development, and even made a game. I'd like to tinker with creating a home screen replacement but havn't been able to dig up any examples or good places to start. Does anyone have any recommendations or links that might help out?
View 3 Replies View RelatedI've searched these forums and was un succecfull in finding the answere I needed. So my need is a lock screen replacement application that requires you to type in a password (numerical or letters) doesn't matter. I just hate the swipe to unlock and the tap home to unlock on the Samsung Moment. I don't care about looks so much I just want a functioning app to do what I ask.

Any idea if this app is no longer available or do I have to download it elsewhere?

View 1 Replies View RelatedI have an LG Ally with a shattered screen. It still works fine, but the glass is broken and it isn't very pleasant to try to use the touchscreen. I already replaced the phone with an HTC Incredible, but I would like to try to repair the Ally for my fiance to use. I'm experienced in small electronics repair, but I am having a heck of a time locating the part. It just isn't coming up on any cell phone repair sites. Does anyone know of a supplier who would sell a replacement screen for this phone?
View 5 Replies View RelatedSo I have had my evo for about maybe 3 months, anyways I had a screen protector on it but I took it off for one day since I had ordered new ones. And I dropped my Evo And got 2 little scratches on the screen. Not deep at all. But they're annoying. Is there any way to get rid of them without paying for a new replacement?
View 6 Replies View RelatedMy Eris screen is completely cracked. I bought a new one now I'm trying to figure out how to replace it. I took off the back panel and noticed 4 screws in the corners of the phone. They seem to require a special kind of hex key allen wrench. Does anyone know if this is the first step in replacing my screen? If so where can I obtain these odd looking allen keys?
I have heard rumors of DIY videos on youtube, but havent been able to dig any up. Also, I've heard something about heating up the phones screen with a blow dryer and letting the glass get hot enough for the glue to soften...but im not about to try that without some serious second opinions.
My daughter dropped her new Eris and the screen cracked. We were supposed to have the insurance, but when Verizon switched her from her old phone to the Eris they removed the insurance even though we told them we wanted to keep it. Of course she dropped it 32 days after we got the phone so we can't add it back on.
We asked if we can add the insurance back since it was Verizon's fault and they just said nope, but they did apologize. Which is no help at all! Is there a way to replace the screen?
I received a refurb for the one that bricked and the screen on this thing is driving me nuts. It clicks like a BB storm when tapped, it opens in my pocket. Heck the screen will shift almost 1/4 inch from top to bottom. I liked my old Droid and after almost 9 months of use it was still tight. My question is, did quality control miss my first or second Droid and will Verizon give me grief if I complain about it?
View 3 Replies View RelatedI bought a new droid for $20 haha lucky i think until i notice that the touch screen only works for the middle of the screen to the left so if yu cut the screen into thirds only the middle and left work assuming that yu cut it from top to bottom with the lights at the bottom for the home button etc. I opened it up cleaned all the flex cable with alcohol and waited for it to dry and it still does the same thing so my question is = do i need a new digitizer or is it a software problem or something that i dont even know?

View 6 Replies View RelatedLooks like I have a dead pixel issue on my camera.. when I get a replacement, can that transfer all my settings and everything over, or do I need to downbload and install and setup everything all over again? View 49 Replies View RelatedSlight Update: Now using Slide Screen. Love its simplicity, and the ability to have all in one screen. It'd be nice if they allowed you to change wallpapers, and/or the side color rainbow thing. But all in all I love it. And I am not complaining. Go to Slide Screen by Larva Labs. Or search it in the Market.
View 10 Replies View RelatedI tried Home++ yesterday and didn't like it too much although I may just have to try it again. I didn't care for that "power strip" in Home++ either (can you turn it off?). I wished it would import all the icons from my regular home screen into Home++ so I don't have to re-create everything. Does anyone else out there have a better home screen replacement program? I saw people talking about GDE but I couldn't find the actual application in the Market Place. I also looked at the Panda Home but from the screen shots, it looked weird. I like the plain-jane version that came with my phone. I don't want fancy skins or colors or bells and whistles.
View 11 Replies View RelatedI had to replace my Incredible as it developed a screen malfunction. The replacement has its own problems; namely, it reacts slowly to almost everything. In fact, as I sit here, it's locked up after I tried to play a video my wife sent me that I had played earlier today with no problem. It got catatonic on me the other evening; only recourse was to pull the battery (which it's looking like I'll have to do now). And text input presents its own problems (like getting the character a long keypress would get you, but about five seconds after I tap on the key). Is there anything that can be done for this replacement short of demanding another replacement?
View 1 Replies View RelatedI purchased my phone in October 2010 from Bangalore, India ... After a week of use a white line developed on the display...
I took it to the service centre who said that it was a display defect and agreed to replace the screen ... But they said that the screen was out of stock ...
After waiting almost a month i got a call from them saying replacement screens have arrived ... I immediately went and got the screen changed ... After receiving the phone back i noticed that the screen seemed kinda dull with a brown tint to it at minimum brigtness ....
When i asked the service centre guy he asked me to use the phone for a while and then it will be fine ... I used the phone for two days and took it back after reading several such tint issues on the web ...
Initially the service centre guys refused to change the screen saying that its normal. Luckily for me another customer came in with a galaxy s. I used his phone and showed the technician the brown tint issue. He then agreed to the fact that there was a brown tint and replaced the screen once again...
The new screen also has the same issue ... I had no other option but to take it and leave ...
The whole fun of buying a great phone has been ruined by the technical issues and poor customer service ....
As wondering if anyone knows where I can get a glass replacement for the screen of the eris. I dropped it today and I don't ant to have to pay $90 to get it replaced. Could the guys at Verizon maybe repair it or htc?
View 7 Replies View RelatedIs it possible to create a lockscreen replacement at the application level that replaces the device's security lock, whether it be PIN, passphrase, pattern or face unlock, or potentially a new method? I know it's possible in the framework level, and have done it before, but I'm just wondering if it's possible to do it at the application level.
So far the few lockscreen replacements that I've tried only implement a slide gesture unlock lockscreen UI, and falls back to the device's security lock after that.
