What is a good free lock screen replacement? I tried lockbot, but it changes style on every lock, and it has some weird bug where if I use the button to lock it, it goes black, then the unlock screen appears (screen doesn't turn off). I do not care much about theming it myself as long as it has a halfway decent theme to begin with, but I do not want to pay for it (yes, I am cheap :P ) and want to get rid of the lag associated with the default lock screen.

View 18 Replies View RelatedI just installed widgetlocker and am having a play round with it. I've set up the widgets no probs.i'm enjoying customising.
1. If I have pattern lock enabled in the settings, when I unlock from widgetlocker, the next screen is the stock lock screen then the pattern lock screen. If i disable the pattern lock, when I unlock widgetlocker the phone is unlocked and there is no stock lock screen.I want to have widgetlocker then pattern lock - NO stock lock please.
2. When I click on a widget on widgetlocker that opens up an app (example audio manager), the next screen is the stock lock screen then the app.Again i don't want to see the stock lock. I was hoping it would open the app, then once closed go back to widgetlocker lock screen.
3. When a call has ended, the phone goes to the stock lock screen. Again same problem.I thought the whole point of widget locker would replace the stock lock screen. But it pops up all over. Of tried my best with the settings,
The main one is with the pattern lock, vital for phone security. But i dont want to have two lock screens and a pattern lock.
I just learned about this app in THIS THREAD, and I really like the concept.The problem is that I can't get another slider to save to WidgetLocker custom unlock screen.I long-press the screen, tap on Widgets, tap Custom Slider, adjust the settings and tap on Save.But then the new slider never appears.I can add any other widget, no problem just not a custom slider.PLEASE do not hijack this thread with the pros and cons of using a lock-pattern.I've had a cell phone since 1992, and have never lost a cell phone.I'm not about to lose my precious DROID.
View 5 Replies View RelatedI have an HTC Evo that hangs up on everyone that calls me.I keep the phone in my pocket and, in trying to pull it out to answer a call, my leg slides the bar.I could keep the phone in my pocket upside down and then I would answer every call but that isn't much of an alternative.I am looking for something that overrides the Sense's lockscreen/answer screen.I tried both GoTo and WidgetLocker.Both are great programs but neither addresses the incoming call issue.

So my need is a lock screen replacement application that requires you to type in a password (numerical or letters) doesn't matter. I just hate the swipe to unlock and the tap home to unlock on the Samsung Moment. I don't care about looks so much I just want a functioning app to do what I ask.

View 4 Replies View RelatedIs it possible to create a lockscreen replacement at the application level that replaces the device's security lock, whether it be PIN, passphrase, pattern or face unlock, or potentially a new method? I know it's possible in the framework level, and have done it before, but I'm just wondering if it's possible to do it at the application level.
So far the few lockscreen replacements that I've tried only implement a slide gesture unlock lockscreen UI, and falls back to the device's security lock after that.
I received a refurb for the one that bricked and the screen on this thing is driving me nuts. It clicks like a BB storm when tapped, it opens in my pocket. Heck the screen will shift almost 1/4 inch from top to bottom. I liked my old Droid and after almost 9 months of use it was still tight.My question is, did quality control miss my first or second Droid and will Verizon give me grief if I complain about it?

It'd be nice if they allowed you to change wallpapers, and/or the side color rainbow thing. But all in all I love it. And I am not complaining. Go to Slide Screen by Larva Labs. I didn't care for that "power strip" in Home++ either (can you turn it off?). I wished it would import all the icons from my regular home screen into Home++ so I don't have to re-create everything. Does anyone else out there have a better home screen replacement program? I saw people talking about GDE but I couldn't find the actual application in the Market Place. I also looked at the Panda Home but from the screen shots, it looked weird. I like the plain-jane version that came with my phone. I don't want fancy skins or colors or bells and whistles.
View 11 Replies View RelatedSo my boyfriend has the Moto Droid. Every night he puts it on charger dock and in the morning picks phone up and its 100%, five minutes later it will die completely. He bought a new battery, plus a battery charger, a new car charger and home charger but it still does it. Basically has to be charged all day long to be used. Has this happened to anyone else?
Also, tried replacing. Upon receiving replacement it was rendered defective due too loose screen. New one coming friday.
I'm wanting to change the icon for a shortcut on my widgetlocker lockscreen. I'm using Bettercut to create the shortcut and change the icon, but it places it on my homescreen instead of lockscreen.

View 5 Replies View RelatedToday I rebooted my phone and LauncherPro got stuck starting, only displaying a window in the top left corner, like it couldn't finish rendering the preview screen, and it never starts on that anyway. I was totally stuck without access to the menu buttons but still had the notification for WidgetLocker, so I was able to get to that, unlock it, restart the Moto launcher, and disable WidgetLocker. Now that it's disabled, I seem to be able to make LauncherPro my home again, but it looks like I'll have to disable WidgetLocker, which I really liked.Not sure what else could be causing the problem - probably something to do with WidgetLocker's home launcher sub-app.

View 1 Replies View RelatedWell if you use widget locker, and a security lock, Froyo Forces you to: Unlock widget locker lock screen, then undo the lock screen, then enter your security code. However with Android Eclair 2.1, there is an option to turn off the screen lock. From my understanding, if you had the lock-screen disabled when you do the update, it will remain disabled after the OTA. However there is no longer any way to enable it because Google removed the option. As most people would find that bad, it should allow me to use widgetlocker, and a security lock without having to unlock the screen twice. Or of course, just use widget locker, as I have no intention of going back to the stock lock screen.

View 39 Replies View RelatedI have a Droid X. I was previously employed by a company that used Exchange Server and Active Sync and I added my company email account to the Droid X. This forced me to use a 4 digit pin as required by the mail admin of the company. I no longer work for this company, and deleted the active sync account from my phone (and no longer have access to it by any means). The security settings for the PIN. When I check SETTINGS -> LOCATION & SECURITY -> CHANGE SCREEN LOCK -> CHANGE SCREEN LOCK the options, "None" and "Pattern" are grayed out and not selectable. When I look under SETTINGS -> LOCATION & SECURITY ->SELECT DEVICE ADMINISTRATORS the device administrator is listed a "Corporate Sync" and I cannot change or delete this.
