With my old Windows Mobile phone it was a natural to sync via Bluetooth. I searched the manual and googled a bit but I haven't found out, yet, how to do that with my new HTC Desire (and HTC Sync). Is that really not possible or am I missing something?

Anyone having issues with the onboard vehicle bluetooth not finding the phone? I have a 2010 Toyota Tacoma with bluetooth and when i try to search for my device, it doesnt find it or my phone dont find the vehicle.
View 2 Replies View RelatedI poked around the site (here and XDA) and didn't find anything that said there was an issue with syncing a bluetooth headset(s). I'm not running any lagfixes (at least nothing enabled via rom-manager for now) and I have a jawbone headset. Has anyone else had this problem, and could I have borked bluetooth with an app/user-data restore (Titanium)?
View 3 Replies View Relatedwell , finally made the switch and got an android phone , very happy with my galaxy s, apart from 1 major issue i can't get my phonebook/contacts to sync with my in car bluetooth system. I can make and receive calls faultlessly , but definately have to be able to access my contacts hands free. every time i try to re-pair it it offers an option to share contacts, but does not work once paired .Can anyone more technically savvy than myself offer any ideas / help , unless i can get this to work the phone will have to go back

Pc is able to detect and install the drivers but I keep getting an error message on my PC Companion saying my phone, is not able to connect through bluetooth at the moment. View 4 Replies View RelatedI just got a Jawbone Prime and it's absolutely amazing! However, after I charge it I have to restart my Eris to get it to connect. There isn't any problem if I move out of range and back. It connects right up. Is anyone else having this issue with a Jawbone? I'm not sure if it's a phone problem or a headset problem. I'm running leak v3 and haven't had this issue with the 2 other headsets I have.

View 9 Replies View RelatedI love my new Android phone, and I am able to sync my songs/podcasts just fine using Easy Phone Tunes.
But I really liked that my iPod/iPhone would sync perfectly with my podcasts. If I played 15 minutes of the Dave Ramsey show on my iPhone, and then connected it to my computer, then I could continue the show on my computer. Additionally, after I connected my iPhone to the computer, I knew which podcasts to delete as it would show them as "played".
Is there a way to accomplish this with the Android phone? I am willing to give up on iTunes to make this happen. I am still using a Mac though.
I was cleaning all the crap off my phone I don't use anymore and I believe I accidently removed the bluetooth software that allows it to connect to stereo bluetooth headsets. I can control the player with the headset, I can make phone calls from it, but when I try to play music there is no sound.
I was trying to reset the phone using RUU, but it reboots the phone and then says it cannot reconnect after that and the software shuts down. I can still sync with outlook, so my driver is not the issue. I am out of ideas.
Is there anyway possible to reinstall just the bluetooth portion of the rom?
Is there any way to turn the bluetooth option on the caller id screen to automatically toggle the bluetooth function on vs rushing to home screen toggle?
I'm often on the road at work or just have my hands full and it is such a drain running bt all day. Is there anything close to what I'm asking available or possible?
This is my first android phone and im having some problems with the bluetooth. Im trying to send my contacts over bluetooth from my old sony ericsson but it doesnt seem to be going smoothly, i would say its all down to me! Basically i have got the bluetooth on for both phones, the desire is set to be discoverable and i try to send the contacts via bluetooth on the SE. I get the whole passcode and accept the file which i have done, but then it says again about accepting the file. Ive tried it a few times and i have 3 bluetooth icons at the top of my screen now which i imagine are for transferring files which need accepting. Is there anywhere i can to accept them or close them down?

Also, from say 11pm - 6am I also don't need instant mail since I'm sleeping :-)it would be important that this would be controlled by days (for instance, I would like to be able to schedule the instant mail off on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday from 8am - 5pm.
View 7 Replies View RelatedAccording to what I've read (and the warnings you get during installation), the Google Finance app is supposed to pull your portfolio down from the web version of Google Finance. I have my gmail setup (and it works) and my portfolio is under that same username. Nothing gets pulled down though. Any ideas why? I uninstalled and reinstalled and nothing. I just get a screen under portfolios that lets me add stocks by clicking a button.

View 6 Replies View RelatedIts really obnoxious. It doesn't matter if make sure and unselect 'sync music' and only have one particular podcast checked, it will sync everything. All podcasts, entire music library, everytime. I cant for the life of me figure out what I'm doing wrong and its pretty damn annoying because of how much longer it takes to do it, when really if it would sync just what I wanted it to, it would take less than 5 minutes. At least WinAMP is out and perhaps will be a better solution than this buggy app Doubletwist. This is my last time dealing with it unless I find a home-run solution.

I didn't download any app for this, and my contacts don't even appear in gmail.Anyone know what is doing this? I'm always worried about what apps send all my info out. Something seems fishy. I have a question about HTC Sync. Am I correct in saying that you can't sync google contacts with HTC sync? That you can only sync the ones labeled as Phone? I have a rogers htc android phone and I have been testing the sync functionality of HTC Sync. From what I can tell, HTC sync will only sync contacts created as phone contacts with outlook/windows address book. And will not sync the google contacts to outlook. Is this because the google contacts are saved on the gmail servers and are already synced anyway? Does anybody know of a way to sync google contacts through HTC Sync? Or am I right in assuming that it cannot be done?

If I open my media player and go to the sync tab, I can create a play list to sync. Only when i hit start sync, it starts sycing ALL songs in my media play as opposed to the ones i selected. What's the best way to get songs on my phone. Same goes for photes. I have pics on my computer that I would liek on my phone but i have no clue how to get them there.
