Android :: Google Finance - App Not Syncing

According to what I've read (and the warnings you get during installation), the Google Finance app is supposed to pull your portfolio down from the web version of Google Finance. I have my gmail setup (and it works) and my portfolio is under that same username. Nothing gets pulled down though. Any ideas why? I uninstalled and reinstalled and nothing. I just get a screen under portfolios that lets me add stocks by clicking a button.

I was wondering if anyone has found a way to add the major world wide indexes to the Google Finance App? As an example, if I try to add the FTSE100 (.FTSE) to my portfolio, it will show up on the website in my mobile portfolio, but will not show up with my other quotes on the Android App. I know its syncing because it says the portfolio was updated every time I open it. I suppose I could add an ADR, but that does me know good because I want to evaluate the markets from my phone before our markets open. Worse case I will just go to the website, but thats besides the point.

For those who applied to get your payout limit removed, Google Finance required personal information (like SSN) with the understanding that they "may" be performing routine credit history verifications. Does this concern you? I understand each credit check run on you by any institution (bank, mortgage, etc) lowers your credit score. I can't understand how (or why) Google finance needs to do this. Also, does anyone know how often they do these credit checks?

I would like to do two things within my Android app: Check if the Google Finance app is installed on the device. Should be pretty straight forward, isn't it ? If yes, launch an intent to Open up Google Finance, displaying a graph on a particular Stock. So I also need to pass the stock ticker to Google Finance in some way... but is this even possible? Any other alternative I could use to display Stock Charts (let's say a 5 days intraday chart) on any stock?

I'm a new VZ Samsung Fascinate user. I got the phone 4 days ago.
I have noticed that my bars are never full. I even compared it with my friend's Nexus One w/ her T-Mobile service and she had 3 bars when I only had 1.
I constantly get zero or 1 and occasionally 2 if lucky. I thought I was in a bad service area but I'm sitting at home where I had full bars before getting this one - same Verizon.
What could be the cause? Do I need to take it to VZ store (I got the phone from BestBuy) and have them take a look?
My apps - Facebook/Twitter/Google Finance/Etc are all slow and often fail because of low connectivity. It's really annoying and I'm not getting full 3G impact on my phone for $30 that I'm paying!

Recent switcher to Android and owner of brand new Galaxy S4 here. I have two separate Gmail accounts, one for work and one for home. Each has its own Google Calendar. Both accounts are linked to my phone.
However, I want separate apps on my GS4 to handle each Google calendar. My phone came with S Planner and I have added Google Calendar App (GCA) from the Play store.
On S Planner I choose to display the home account calendar - no problems so far. I then switch to GCA and choose to display the work account calendar. Great. However, and this is my problem, these apps now seem to be 'linked', such that when I then go back into S Planner from GCA it is now displaying the work account calendar instead of the home calendar.
In other words, changes in one app seem to be mirrored in the other app. Is there any way around this, so that each app only displays one account calendar?

I have a Nexus 4 and Nexus 7.I am trying to sync all my Google Drive photos with my Google + account. In Google + I have checked the box to allow Google Drive to sync with Google Drive. Most of the pictures show up in Google + without a problem. Some however, do not. There doesn't seem to be a rhyme or reason to this either. All of my photo folders. It doesn't seem to be related to one format or another. (Ex. One JPG file is there and another isn't)

My wife has a Captivate and I have a Vibrant. She does all the bills and uses mooLa! to keep a running tab on our acct balances since our bank's site is REALLY unreliable. We are looking for an app that is exactly like moola, but syncs between or phones so if I spend money, it will show up in her app and if she spends money, it will show up in mine. Any type of solution would work if we had a way to sync moola, that would be awesome if there's another app like it that syncs, that would work too get creative!

Currently I use the desktop app quicken to track all my expenses. More and more I'm relying on my android phone to do my daily tasks. I have been searching and reading for weeks now trying to find an app that suits my needs and so far I haven't come up with what I need. Many come close but so far none can provide all three of my requirements. So, does any one of you l33t android users know of an app that can meet these three requirements?
(1) Must be stand alone - If it can sync with a desktop app like quicken for example, that's great but it shouldn't rely on that to function.
(2) Supports downloading bank data directly - My bank (USAA) supports just about every connection method. Every app I have tried for every phone that has this feature has been able to connect to USAA and retrieve my transactions without issue. Downloading to a file and importing manually is not an option.
(3) Must support recurring / scheduled transactions - I want to be able to plug in my monthly recurring bills and have some way of viewing my future balance as the bills hit. Quicken does this with a bar graph and a calender. Either one would work. The biggie (Mint.com) is great but doesn't support the third requirement even though hundreds of people have posted, asking for this feature (guess no one is listening or acting on it). Quicken doesn't have a mobile app. Splash money doesn't have an Android version. Ascendo Money doesn't have an android version. Seems like everything I have found is 2 out of 3.. I don't see how my list of 3 is asking that much?

Can someone more up to speed and deeply into Android than me please enlighten me as to why, when Android is a Google OS, and presumably the inbuilt browser app is therefore a Google app, that Google bookmarks are not synchronised like google contacts, google mail and google calendar.
I have had an Android phone since G1 and had a Desire for almost a year and have always been waiting for Google bookmark sync.
There seem to be apps that will pull in google bookmarks into the browser, but that is of limited use. I want to bookmark something on my phone and have it available in iGoogle on my mac or my work PC. It's really not hard and can't for the life of me fathom why Android doesn't do this out of the box.

For the past few days, the Data Sync symbol is in the status bar constantly. When I go to Menu>Settings>Accounts and Sync>Google>Sync Contacts, the Syncing symbol is rotating and every 10 seconds or so at the bottom of the screen I will get a red excalamation point and note that states "Sync is currently experiencing problems. It will be back shortly." I then cancel sync. What is going on? The one thing I can say is that constantly trying to sync drains battery life VERY quickly!

I have a Droid Eris running Android 1.5. My problem is that when my phone syncs with my Google Calendar, events that aren't on my Google Cal sometimes show up on my phone's calendar. The events that are showing up are events that repeat on a weekly basis but I deleted them for certain weeks on my Google Cal, yet they still show up on my phone. This is starting to become a hassle because I keep thinking that I have to do things when I really don't. I've already cleared the calendar data on my phone and restarted like the Google troubleshooting tips say, but that didn't work.

I try to sync my calendar with google calendar I get a message that's says there is no calendar events currently synced. So I go to settings-accounts-Gmail- and it only gives me the option to sync contacts and gmail, not the calendar. How do I add in the calendar so that I can sync it? I only have the one Gmail account. My friend thinks I may have to remove the gmail account then add it back in, but doing so means I would have to restore factory settings and everything would be deleted. I would hate to have to restore the factory settings.

I currently have an iphone 3g and am going to be switching to an android device. I use google maps quite a bit on my iphone and over the past couple years I have accumulated a lot of bookmarked locations that I have saved on my phone. My question is, is there a way to sync all the locations I have saved on my iphone to my new phone? Or am I going to have to add all the bookmarked locations manually?

I am a new andriod user ( mytouch slide) and I downloaded Jorte because I read that it will not only sync with google calendar but also google taks. The calendar is syncing just fine but the taks are not syncing.

My portfolio on Google Finance has a lot of companies in it (from NYSE to ASX - Australia Stock Exchange).But when viewed on my G1, I don't see all the companies. All are there except the ASX ones are hidden.

So, I have been playing around with contacts and google calendar syncing on my Droid, and I love it. I also know that it uses a very small amount of battery.
Looking at Spare Parts and the battery information, google uses MAYBE a minute a day for syncing, which is absolutely nothing.
Anyways, anyone know how often it syncs? Seems to be every 12-24 hours.

I had to have the hard drive on my laptop replaced but they were able to clone it before reinstalling, so I did not lose any data.
However, when I open up my Google account, all the tasks that were there seem to be gone. I still have all my Tasks on GTasks, and I have chosen "Synchronize" in Gtasks, but they are still not showing up in Google calendar.
Why this might be happening and how I can get my tasks back into Google?

I'm considering switching to an Android device after using Windows Mobile for years and years... the new Droid from Verizon really looks impressive and I'm not real high on some of the new Windows Mobile devices coming out.One of my needs though will be to read, edit, and save 2007 Office documents. However, I'd also like to have my documents auotsync'd with Google Docs. Is something like this possible?

I've read and re-read and (still) read some more about this topic, but I am getting no where... Perhaps If I post the question, some one can PLEASE assist?I have a Gmail addy for a side business, and I created that account on my (EVO) phone "initially". I originally did a sync with it. However, after some thought, I decided to create a personal Gmail account and wanted ALL of my phone's contacts to sync with THAT newly created personal Gmail account. No can do.Although I have the original Gmail account's settings on "off" (not to sync at all), when I sync the phone to Google, all calendar events are there on the new G account, but NOT the contacts. They are simply not coming over?

First night I got my evo, my first android phone, I was just going over the settings, seeing what control I had in the OS etc. I went into running applications and clicked on gmail and forced it to stop ("until you start it again" from what it said). Since then I have not been able to get push gmail to my evo. I've cleared the data and cache from manage applications to both gmail storage (or something) and gmail. How to get true push email again!
2nd question: I transferred my IPhone contacts into a .csv that I uploaded on my gmail contacts. I synced them from my gmail to my evo. But everytime I go into phone, it only shows me 3-4 contacts compared to the 300+ I synced from my gmail. How can I transfer them from my gmail account, onto my phone?
