Jun 4, 2010I'm not a iTunes fan, so I'm not liking the doubleTwist tool. Is there anything else out there? Oh, I'd be willing to pay for it.

Android :: Syncing Android Phone With ITunes With Better Podcast Syncing
Nov 16, 2010I love my new Android phone, and I am able to sync my songs/podcasts just fine using Easy Phone Tunes.
But I really liked that my iPod/iPhone would sync perfectly with my podcasts. If I played 15 minutes of the Dave Ramsey show on my iPhone, and then connected it to my computer, then I could continue the show on my computer. Additionally, after I connected my iPhone to the computer, I knew which podcasts to delete as it would show them as "played".
Is there a way to accomplish this with the Android phone? I am willing to give up on iTunes to make this happen. I am still using a Mac though.

Jul 13, 2010What i like about nokia is the pc suite(the older version) it syncs automatically with bluetooth. (files, pictures etc) and can read sms messages.
What ive read so far, theres no alternative on android?
Bluetooth handsfree- The current n82 connects fine to the car stereo,- and can accpets calls etc.
This seems to be a problem on android,-dependent on phone and android version. Is this correct?
Regarding programs, i have a call manager with whitelack lists, answering machine and scheduler. And a program that can record conersations.
Are there any android programs that can do the same thing?

I was wondering how the applications currently available for the Andriod phones compare to iPhones applications? May 19, 2010Are there any apps out there that would allow me to have both gmail and exchange switch from "as mail arrives" to "manual" certain times of the day?For instance, I sit in front of my work computer most of the day and don't require immediate email to my phone, same with gmail.So from say 8-5pm I don't really need instant mail. Also, from say 11pm - 6am I also don't need instant mail since I'm sleeping :-)it would be important that this would be controlled by days (for instance, I would like to be able to schedule the instant mail off on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday from 8am - 5pm.

Oct 27, 2009According to what I've read (and the warnings you get during installation), the Google Finance app is supposed to pull your portfolio down from the web version of Google Finance. I have my gmail setup (and it works) and my portfolio is under that same username. Nothing gets pulled down though. Any ideas why? I uninstalled and reinstalled and nothing. I just get a screen under portfolios that lets me add stocks by clicking a button.

Oct 23, 2010Its really obnoxious. It doesn't matter if make sure and unselect 'sync music' and only have one particular podcast checked, it will sync everything. All podcasts, entire music library, everytime. I cant for the life of me figure out what I'm doing wrong and its pretty damn annoying because of how much longer it takes to do it, when really if it would sync just what I wanted it to, it would take less than 5 minutes. At least WinAMP is out and perhaps will be a better solution than this buggy app Doubletwist. This is my last time dealing with it unless I find a home-run solution.

Android :: Syncing Contacts With HTC Sync
Jan 28, 2010I have a question about HTC Sync. Am I correct in saying that you can't sync google contacts with HTC sync? That you can only sync the ones labeled as Phone? I have a rogers htc android phone and I have been testing the sync functionality of HTC Sync. From what I can tell, HTC sync will only sync contacts created as phone contacts with outlook/windows address book. And will not sync the google contacts to outlook. Is this because the google contacts are saved on the gmail servers and are already synced anyway? Does anybody know of a way to sync google contacts through HTC Sync? Or am I right in assuming that it cannot be done?

Jun 22, 2010What is the best way to sync music and photos. I have doubletwist but cant seem to work it. I see my songs, just don't how to to get the ones i want on my phone. If I open my media player and go to the sync tab, I can create a play list to sync. Only when i hit start sync, it starts sycing ALL songs in my media play as opposed to the ones i selected. What's the best way to get songs on my phone. Same goes for photes. I have pics on my computer that I would liek on my phone but i have no clue how to get them there.

May 15, 2010The Gmail app on my Samsung Galaxy Portal/Lite/Spica (i5700) doesn't seem to be syncing mail correctly when previously it was.
I have updated via Odin to Eclair, however the problem was there in 1.5 and I was hoping 2.1 fixed it. Curiously, the issue wasn't there when I first got the phone and it is a relatively recent issue.
When I read a mail in the Gmail app it should mark as read, however when I log on to Gmail from a PC it still shows as unread. But the phone will still mark it as unread.
How do I make the Gmail app show all mail read through it as read when I log on via a PC?

I know that third-party apps allow you to sync the calendar and contacts (at least I HOPE they do). But I don't see anything about syncing the notes/memos.

Jun 8, 2010HTC Sync will sync my calendar and contacts from my PC (Outlook 2007) to the EVO 4G. But it won't sync calendar and contact events from the EVO 4G back to the PC. I'm using Windows 7. Oct 18, 2010Can someone more up to speed and deeply into Android than me please enlighten me as to why, when Android is a Google OS, and presumably the inbuilt browser app is therefore a Google app, that Google bookmarks are not synchronised like google contacts, google mail and google calendar.
I have had an Android phone since G1 and had a Desire for almost a year and have always been waiting for Google bookmark sync.
There seem to be apps that will pull in google bookmarks into the browser, but that is of limited use. I want to bookmark something on my phone and have it available in iGoogle on my mac or my work PC. It's really not hard and can't for the life of me fathom why Android doesn't do this out of the box.
