View 5 RepliesI have a Pioneer DEH-P7100BT head unit in my car (fairly new model.) Bluetooth always worked flawlessly with my blackberry phone. Issue with the Evo, I can pair the Evo with my stereo and I even get the call notifications on the LDC when my Evo rings, but the calls simply do not go through the speakers. I can output audio through bluetooth, navigation, music all work, calls do not. Am I missing something in the bluetooth or phone settings or is there a compatibility issue with my car receiver?

View 1 Replies View RelatedI was cleaning all the crap off my phone I don't use anymore and I believe I accidently removed the bluetooth software that allows it to connect to stereo bluetooth headsets. I can control the player with the headset, I can make phone calls from it, but when I try to play music there is no sound.
I was trying to reset the phone using RUU, but it reboots the phone and then says it cannot reconnect after that and the software shuts down. I can still sync with outlook, so my driver is not the issue. I am out of ideas.
Is there anyway possible to reinstall just the bluetooth portion of the rom?
Is there any way to turn the bluetooth option on the caller id screen to automatically toggle the bluetooth function on vs rushing to home screen toggle?
I'm often on the road at work or just have my hands full and it is such a drain running bt all day. Is there anything close to what I'm asking available or possible?
This is my first android phone and im having some problems with the bluetooth. Im trying to send my contacts over bluetooth from my old sony ericsson but it doesnt seem to be going smoothly, i would say its all down to me! Basically i have got the bluetooth on for both phones, the desire is set to be discoverable and i try to send the contacts via bluetooth on the SE. I get the whole passcode and accept the file which i have done, but then it says again about accepting the file. Ive tried it a few times and i have 3 bluetooth icons at the top of my screen now which i imagine are for transferring files which need accepting. Is there anywhere i can to accept them or close them down?

View 21 Replies View RelatedHaven't seen a recent thread on this lately so I'm curious what Bluetooth headsets you guys use out there? Rate 'em 1-5, link 'em too if you can! I currently use:
-Plantronics Discovery 975 5/5
-Plantronics Discovery 925 4/5
-Aliph Jawbone2 4/5
-Plantronics Voyager 520 3/5
1. Plantronics Discovery 975. I've got 2 of these actually one for my PlayStation 3 and one for my Droid. It's the main Bluetooth headset I use these days. Sound quality is excellent. It sticks in your ear with no hoop, is comfortable to wear for long periods of time. It comes with a little leather case with a battery built in so that you can recharge the headset up to 3x when away from AC power. Has a little LCD panel to show you charge of both devices. (Infinitely easier than deciphering how many blinks equals what battery charge!) Best voice. You may see them on this seasons "24" as it's the headphone of choice at CTU
2. Plantronics Discovery 925. Earlier version of the 975. Great for call quality, battery life etc. Comes with same little case. Design is a little different but it gets the job done. No LCD screen on the case. Mainly used with my work Blackberry. Uses MicroSD charger, so you get an extra for your Droid!
3. Aliph Jawbone2. Much smaller than the original. Very tiny and chic. Great sound quality (it uses a little nub to detect vibration in your jaw to know when to isolate outside noise (using it's patented NoiseAssassin) so you could be on a crowded street and still be pretty clear. Only downsides are the battery life isn't amazing and the proprietary charger plus it only comes with a USB. (Becoming less of an issue these days as I'm starting to acquire a ton of AC USB chargers)
4. Plantronics Discovery 520. My original work Bluetooth headset. Does a decent job but is a little bulky. The ear hook makes it a bit uncomfortable to wear for long periods and not quick to get on. Has a proprietary weird shaped charging port. Battery life was average if that.
My 'droid will not connect to my Garmin 785T with the A2DP profile, sound for phone speaker phone works fine tho. Garmin won't do anything, I've already talked to them, are there any adjustments or setting on the droid that I can try to make this work, I'd really like to get Pandora or other audio going thru it.
View 3 Replies View RelatedI have a Plantronics 360 Bluetooth Headset and the Motorola Droid, I have the Bluetooth Volume all the way up and am stilling having troubles hearing.
My Droid is rooted so if their is anything out there that can help me boost the volume that would be great.
Hey everyone. So a couple of weeks ago i took the plunge and rooted and haven't looked back. I wanted to get rid of my ipod for the gym seeing as i carry my phone anyway so i spent a few hours making playlist (i have over 20gb of music to go through) and used isyncr to put them on the droid. Great app by the way. Anyway so i tryed to pair my bluetooth headphones to the droid and it just scanned and never found the headphones. I tried like 20 times and yes i had the phone discoverable. So i had my Lt. at work try it on his android phone and the hooked right up. Is there something that could have happen in the root that messed up my bluetooth. Running sholes 2.0.6. Went to droid mod1 but it was killing my battery so i went back to sholes. Any help would be great.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI have my DX paired to a motorcycle helmet bluetooth headset (Cardo Scala G4). It's setup on the A2DP profile. It plays music just fine, as well as makes and receives calls. The problem is that when I have an incoming call, my headset does not ring at all. The only thing that happens is, if I'm playing music, the music stops.
I've scoured the internet and cannot find any resolution. I know that it's the phone (and not the headset) because when I pair the headset to my wife's LG Dare, it rings through the headset speakers perfectly. This is a major problem, and I'm hoping that there IS a way to overcome this.
let me start out by saying that I totally expected this to flop, and not even come close to working.I have a Kenwood DNX6140 installed in my car.So on the way home tonight for some reason I decided to try an experiment.I live in southern california. I ran the A-Online-Radio app, and searched for a radio station I loved in Rochester, NY when I was going to school there. Low and behold, it shows up in the list. So, I turn on the bluetooth on the phone, and connect to the kenwood. I switch the kenwood to the bluetooth input, it says "connected to Droid" (didn't even expect to get this far lol), and hit play on the A-Online-Radio.
And poof, the audio starts playing through the kenwood and out my car speakers. That is so freaking awesome, I still can't believe it.The last time I was able to do this was with my VZ XV6700. I would use internet explorer on the WM device, and connect to the web page, and start the streaming, which would come out of the phones speakers. Then I'd connect an FM transmitter to the phone, so I could hear it on the stereo in the car. That sucked, was a pain in the butt, but it worked.
The Droid X paired easily with my Aliph Jawbone Icon ($99, ) Bluetooth headset andwonder of wonders!triggered voice dialing over Bluetooth, a rare feature on an Android phone. Voice recognition was pretty accurate.
View 5 Replies View Relatedas many if not all are aware who use the Motorola Droid that the bluetooth and voice dialing is a joke. Phones from 6 years ago and every one since function better than the Motorola Droid does in this aspect. With over 800,000 units said to be sold(Moto Droid)... the number of stars for this issue are very low.... In fact the overall participation on google code is low i think.I'm asking everyone to go on Google Code, log in with your gmail account, or do whatever you have to do to be able to 'Star' the issue. Posting replies on their site is not necessary without relevant new info to the issue, and only dilutes the issue. Staring alone is enough and very helpfull

View 6 Replies View RelatedI get a strange farting noise when the call is first placed and randomly during the call. When it happens neither party can hear eachother. The car is a 2006 BMW 525xi and I never had it with 4 different Eris', 2 BB's and an old Motorola flip phone.
View 4 Replies View RelatedI have the car dock and love how the charging cable plugs into the dock so your not always plugging and unplugging it into the phone itself. You can just set it in the dock and go. Now the perfect scenario to me would be to be able to stream Slacker or MOG music from the X to the car stereo using Bluetooth. I currently have factory Bluetooth in the car, but is only for calls. I would like to get a new stereo with Bluetooth that would allow me to stream music to it in addition to using the X for Navigation. What I would like to know is how the sound quality will be? Is there anyone here currently doing this that can comment on the sound quality and let me know what deck you are using? I am REALLY hoping for success here so I can just drop the X into the car dock and go, without messing with any cables and still have very good sound quality.
View 10 Replies View RelatedI have wanted to be able to stream music via bluetooth from the droid to an audio receiver... can't think of a solution. Right now I use the application streamfurious to stream internet radio from shoutcast.com's website, an excellent source of thousands of radio links, to the droid. Now it would be sweet to be able to relay this again to another audio device. I have an auxiliary 3.5mm jack on my head unit in my car and I was wondering if anyone knew of any other device to convert that so it could stream through bluetooth. Theoretically I could just plug that into the phone but I hate wires. One other question... I know they say the data plan is unlimited but streaming music 24/7 would have a ridiculous amount of data usage. I think the cap is 5gb is this true??

View 1 Replies View RelatedDriving home on a BT HF call tonight I kept hearing distortion every minute or so thinking that I might have a cell tower issue. This continued for 8 miles and even when I stopped the car in my drive way. I noticed that the problem seemed to disappear after disabling WIFI. My assumption is that with WIFI enabled it scans for a network every so often and interferes with the Bluetooth connection (yes, I know they share bandwidth). I tend to leave the WIFI enabled so it will automatically connect to my home network when I arrive. Does anyone else see an interoperability issue which is driving them to turn off WIFI to avoid BT distortion?
View 1 Replies View RelatedI've seen discussions on how to use your android phone as several different things, ranging from a wireless hot spot to a keyboard/mouse. There are instructions all over on how to tether your phone to use it as a wireless modem, but I've never seen mention on whether or not it was possible to use an android phone as a USB blue tooth adapter. My Android phone is blue tooth enabled, but neither of my laptops are. Is there any way to use the phone as a blue tooth adapter when connected to the laptop via the USB cable (giving the laptop blue tooth capabilities)? I know I can always just buy an adapter from the store, but I wanted to see if this was a possibility first.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI have a blackberry tour and use podtrapper to download and play all my podcasts. With this app I'm able to listen to podcasts with my bluetooth headset. This is a great feature and I'm wondering will the droid allow music/podcasts to be played over bluetooth? While I'm at work I leave in my headset and nobody knows I am listening to my podcasts.
