This thing stopped working again, I am subscribed to the beta program, and tried reinstalling it again, but no luck.

View 2 Replies View RelatedI followed the directions the e-mail gave me. I downloaded it got the site and got the new version (2.4.44.10912.t100) and then when I try swyping to type I get the same blue box I did when it was outdated. Why does swype have to be such a pain to use.
View 1 Replies View RelatedRecenty I downloaded swype.. but it wouldn't work and kept saying the trial period had expired, and every time I try to type it just makes a noise and the border of the keyboard lights up blue.
View 5 Replies View Relatedmy version of swype my Droid Eris was working fine the other. All I did was shut my phone off and turn it back on and now it seems like it doesn't track my finger frequently enough to do double letters anymore... anyone else have this problem? How do I go about fixing it?
View 2 Replies View RelatedWhen I installed the latest version of Android on my Droid, my Swype stopped working (again!). When I re-installed it now it says I have to upgrade Swype as the trail is over. I looked on their web site, butI don't see any way of upgrading. Is there a way around the need to upgrade or how do I get the upgrade?

View 13 Replies View RelatedI have had no luck.
View 8 Replies View RelatedI tried to install Swype. It installed no problem, and I can select it as an input method. All is good, untill I try to swype a word. I get the little "swype mark" blue streak deal, and it makes the noise, but no word appears in the text box area. I've tried it on the internet, handcent, and normal messages.
View 9 Replies View RelatedToday my swype trial expired and the forum at xda was updated and removed the apk due to the swype developers request. I tried an uninstall and reinstall of version 1.61.37xxxx from my SD card but it was for naught.
Also the NFL mobile app gave me the "you are not a Verizon wireless customer" message on start up and I did an uninstall and reinstall of that as well and it was a no go. I remember this happened before and you just needed to get the new apk but I can't find it anywhere.
I looked around and couldn't find anything specific to an un-rooted N1. I used to have the original leaked version of Swype and it worked fine. I downloaded the Swype Beta when it came out and have been having all kinds of problems with if freezing. I've tried un-installing and re-installing and it still happens. Can someone tell me how to fix it or post a link to the original leaked version?
View 12 Replies View RelatedI downloaded swype, (nexus friendly version from XDA). Ive installed it, and when I open a text field, I can use it.
I can tap the letters to type, but when I swype my finger, the whole keyboard becomes highlighted around the edges. Its not registering the swype, but I registers taps.
I've got a working .apk I found here for Swype on the Aria. Been searching for it cause I figured I'd like it best on a screen the size of the Aria's. I installed it on my stock device with no root using the Wonder Machine. Just figured I'd share.

While I still have it on my phone as an option, I switched back to using SwiftKey anyway. I'm just so use to it I can't go back to Swype.
Does anyone have an alternative to Swype that works on the Wildfire? I didn't want to spend money trying a bunch out to find they only work on non qvga screens.

View 7 Replies View RelatedI've got my phone up and running with sense-able 2.0 but for some reason swype is not working correctly. It never seems to make the line all the way to the letter I'm trying to type. Its like this for every letter. Its especially missing the last letter it usually ends up a couple letters away from where I end up. I was using it just fine when I wasn't rooted and on 1.5 but now its giving me problems. I've even tried playing with the settings and it doesn't seem to help. I'm wondering if anyone else has had this issue. I guess I'll try uninstalling and reinstalling it.
View 6 Replies View RelatedI downloaded and have been using swype for over a week now. Last night I switched back to the standard keyboard for something and then tried to switch back to swype. Now it doesn't work. When I go to the keyboard, it's just still the standard keyboard. Any thoughts?
View 1 Replies View RelatedWith the new version, every 2-3 days my Swype keyboard stops working. I can type normally (pushing individual letters), but swyping doesn't work.
If I re-install, it will work again, but only for a few days. I always install after killing tasks/widgets like it says, but hasn't helped the longer-term problem.
I had wireless tether working before going to 2.2. Now it appears to be working on the phone, but on the computer it shows "Local Only". I tried uninstalling, rebooting then reinstalling... no luck with that.
Also, I am part of the Swype Beta. I had Swype resend the email when I updated to 2.2 and reinstalled. It works until I reboot my phone, then it goes into "tap only" mode. Is anyone else experiencing this?
After the update, all my music became unknown artist. And also, swype is not working.
View 10 Replies View RelatedI was prompted to update swype this morning. I did so, and now everytime I select swype it closes automatically and I get the android keyboard.
- Swype Beta is checked in Language & Input (android keyboard is selected and grey in this screen)
- Choose Input Method screen. I select "Swype Beta". It flashes to Swype. Then reverts back to Android keyboard immediately
- I have cleared cache, etc. and rebooted the phone. This brought me to the new swype EULA and activation process. Which I did successfully. I rechecked all settings.
- I have since uninstalled. Reinstalled. Reactivated. Selected. Rebooted. Etc. Nothing.
Still nothing but silence from Swype about this set of issues that are spreading like wildfire across multiple Android forums I am a member of.
Jelly bean 4.1.2 on Galaxy Nexus HSPA+ running stock android, etc
Swype 1.3.1.9274 (downloaded on 18 October, 2012)
After upgrading to Froyo 2.2, Swype started to behave strangely. I noticed that with Froyo 2.2, Swype also got a newer version. However, the performance is much worst when compared to the previous version. Here is the summary of the issues which i noticed:
1. Incorrect word recognition. 30%-40% increase in incorrect recognition
2. Much higher CPU usage (hence battery drain)
3. Very bad performance in portrait mode as compared to landscape mode
I currently have swype and I love it, but it only works in portrait mode.. if I turn my phone landscape for anything, I always get the error "not supported in this resolution." All I want is a version that is supported so I don't get this error.
View 20 Replies View RelatedSuddenly the sound doesn't work for my text when I type or swype. I've turned on ALL sounds possible. (It still vibrates.) I can hear all the other sound effects and can hear the typing if I switch to Android Keyboard. But I like Swype!
View 3 Replies View RelatedThe Swype Keyboard on my wife's Captivate is not working correctly. The SYM button and the one to the left of it are blanked out - meaning they are just black boxes and clicking/pressing them does nothing. She has had to switch to the default keyboard and she hates it.Any idea what is going on and how to fix this?
View 12 Replies View RelatedI signed up for the beta testing a while back. Got this link in an email update from Swype. You have to uninstall swype and the old installer first. Access it from your Android phone. https://beta.swype.com/android/get/
View 10 Replies View RelatedSwype on the Droid X with 2.1 originally had a black keyboard with bigger keys to swype or type on. With Froyo, it's now showing as a white keyboard with smaller keys that looks look the Swype keyboard I had originally had on my Droid 1. Is this the "new" keyboard look for Swype on the Droid X or is there a way to bring back the old look before upgrading to Froyo on the Droid X? The version that is showing on the DX now is 1.64.40.9380.
View 12 Replies View RelatedSo I have the Droid X but I noticed that the Droid 2 now has a themed version of Swype to fit in with the rest of the UI. I like it a lot.
My question is this. When you push the voice-to-text button does it pop up a window like earlier versions of Swype or does it do the really fast and slick thing that the multi touch keyboard does (just replace the keyboard with the audio waveform thing).
I bought a used Droid 2 from ebay the other day and I got it and went to switch keyboards and I found that Swype wasnt on there. I double checked Motorola's website and it advertises the Droid 2 with swype pre-installed. Did I just get stiffed? Or do I need to find an apk somewhere to get swype?
