I followed the directions the e-mail gave me. I downloaded it got the site and got the new version (2.4.44.10912.t100) and then when I try swyping to type I get the same blue box I did when it was outdated. Why does swype have to be such a pain to use.

I installed the lastest version of swype( did not have anything installed on this ROM).I saw the other thread was locked so I'm starting a new one I guess. Everything installed fine, but nothing happens when I swype. Manually typing works but when I swype it just shows the line makes a noise and nothing happens.

I haven't tried any, but wanted to find the easiest/newest method.I have files on my computer and I was going to use drop box to transfer them to my phone.When I open the files in drop box it gives me the "for security, your phone is set to block."What is the easiest method to fix this? Is this how to install petes new 2.1 build that everyone is talking about or is this an older ROM?
I attempted to flash Pete's newest Froyo build. Did a wipe of data/cache, but my phone said the file was bad. Now for some reason I don't have 3G service. I've flashed every nandroid backup I had saved but I can't get it back. Any idea how I might be able to fix this?

I am on bhmans take 5 so i removed it from system/app and wiped the data then attempted to install it and it wont even open it just force closes constantly.

I get the little "swype mark" blue streak deal, and it makes the noise, but no word appears in the text box area. I've tried it on the internet, handcent, and normal messages.

View 5 Replies View RelatedToday my swype trial expired and the forum at xda was updated and removed the apk due to the swype developers request. I tried an uninstall and reinstall of version 1.61.37xxxx from my SD card but it was for naught.
Also the NFL mobile app gave me the "you are not a Verizon wireless customer" message on start up and I did an uninstall and reinstall of that as well and it was a no go. I remember this happened before and you just needed to get the new apk but I can't find it anywhere.
I looked around and couldn't find anything specific to an un-rooted N1. I used to have the original leaked version of Swype and it worked fine. I downloaded the Swype Beta when it came out and have been having all kinds of problems with if freezing. I've tried un-installing and re-installing and it still happens. Can someone tell me how to fix it or post a link to the original leaked version?

I can tap the letters to type, but when I swype my finger, the whole keyboard becomes highlighted around the edges. Its not registering the swype, but I registers taps.
