How do I switch the settings from the free yahoo back to gmail and how do I get the mail screen back where you can swipe over and look at your mail back on it own screen just like the factory settings.

I am in the CC section of the original email I get the email back to me again. Is there anyway to stop this from happening? In IOS that doesn't happen when I reply to all it doesn't come back to me again.
View 3 Replies View RelatedI'm looking for an app that will allow me to set up different profiles for phone settings that can be switched easily by choosing a "profile" from a list.I DON'T want Locale. i want to be able to do this by choosing from a list, NOT based on my location.For example, a user could set up a Power Saver profile, a Power User profile, an Online Profile, etc. Each of these profiles should be customizable. For example, I should be able to customize the "Power Saver" profile to the power settings I want (ie. Screen brightness, WiFi off, Bluetooth Off, Syncing Off, etc).Is there anything like this? Ideally I'm hoping for something that has a free version, as I am in Canada and we can't get paid apps yet.For the record, I am using Useful Switchers, but I don't want to have to go through all the various steps each time I want to go back and forth from power saving and using my phone online.
View 5 Replies View Relatedthere is a very annoying bug which keeps switching to the "Available networks" window in Settings spontaneously, whilst I am doing something else (e.g. Surfing the Internet, looking through mail, etc). Thus far, I have hard reset 3 times and also tried powering on and off the device a few times. I also tried to Force Close it, use Task Killer and stop the service, but none of these have worked. Can someone please help me out with a solution to this? I'm considering returning the phone now...as it's making the phone unusable...

I have 4 things set up in locale
1) turn on silent when at work
2) turn on Wi-fi when at home
3) turn on silent 6:30PM to 7:30PM (when getting my son to bed)
4) turn on silent 11PM to 8AM (so no emails are waking me!) number 2 works fine, the problem however is with the silent ones, ALL of them never go back to the default (ringer at full volume) when the time is up or when I'm away from the location. any ideas? I don't have GPS on, but the distance from home to work is large so it can't think I'm still anywhere near there plus that won't affect the time related ones.
Making the jump to the Incredible on Friday, just wondering if anyone knows if everything is automatically updated or if I have to manually back some things up.

I understand i can go between two activities by invoking an intent and then returning with setResult(). What I want to know is how to jump between multiple activities. Specifically I want to learn about the process life-cycle. I understand how every activity is started ar onCreated(), but I'm not sure how to implement onResume() or onRestart() when I want to come back. So basically I have 3 activities: Activity1, Activity2 and Anctivity3. I start with Activity1 and then invoke Activity2 with an Intent, and Activity2 invokes Activity3. Using buttons. Now I want to come back to Activity1 from Activity3. I do the same thing here too. Make an Intent and call startActivity(Activity1_Intent). But it gives a runtime error.I think I need to implement OnResume() or onRestart(), but I'm not sure how to do this. In onCreate() I make a gridView, so when I come back, do I need to make that gridView again? If anybody could give a small explanation of refer to a tutorial it would be great.

View 7 Replies View RelatedI'm a noob to the whole smartphone with data thing. Is it normal for my phone to switch in and out of 3G in an area that the verizon map shows as being a 3G area? At home I seem to stay on the 3G fairly constantly, but at work (which is at the edge of coverage) and especially while driving I seem to drop 3G quite a bit. It makes playing Slacker in the car not worth while. Just wondering if this is "just the way it is" or if I may have an issue.

View 3 Replies View RelatedI had updated my DX to 2.2 a few weeks ago without rooting and DESPISE the new Swype keyboard in 2.2. It's smaller, white, and doesn't seem to work as well as the one installed on 2.1 on the DX which is black and seemed to have bigger keys to Swype to on the keyboard. How can I revert back to the old Swype keyboard that I had on 2.1 but keep 2.2 installed? I was told to move the Swype.apk file from 2.1 to the system/app directory in addition to the old lib file to the lib directory and then reboot the phone. The only problem is when I try to paste those files over, it won't let me. I'm guessing I need to be rooted to have access to those directories? What's the easiest way to root a 2.2 Droid X? Also, I was told the files need to be given special permissions. Is there an easier way to install the Swype from the DX running 2.1 onto a DX running the first leak of 2.2 for the DX?

And I seem to remember a way to switch back to the default launcher if I set Launcher Pro as my default but I can't find it in the settings menu.
There is a "switch calls" button when I answer a call on call waiting, but is there any way to switch to the previous call, hang up, and come back to the new call? I tested it today and I hung up on everybody.

I hit dialer to get back but it just shows the dialer and none of those options. I have to wait for the other person to hang up first to even end the call. View 4 Replies View RelatedDon't burn me at the stake, but I want to switch back from Google Voice, but when I switch to carrier voicemail, it asks for a voicemail number, which I assumed was my phone number, but when I enter that, calling voicemail just goes to voicemail, as if someone called me. My reason for switching is because the SMS feature is about 25% accurate and when I turned that off, I stopped getting sotifications that I had received a Voicemail.

I have two non-Gmail accounts set up using the stock email program: one Yahoo Mail and the other for my domain. The email account for my domain is set up as the default, so when I start a new email, it comes from that account. However, I can not figure out how to switch to the Yahoo Mail account to compose and send email without making the Yahoo Mail account the default account. There has to be some way to open your inbox or send a new message without switching which account is the default everytime, or at least I would think so.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI was having some issues with Google Voice (people saying that they didn't always get my voicemail or sometimes it was some automated thing instead of my Google Voice message). I can't afford not getting my voice messages so I want to switch back. However, now whenever I get a voicemail it shows up in my notification bar and I click on the notification and it automatically calls a google voice number. However, when I enter my pin it says I have no messages. So I'm assuming they are on my Verizon Voicemail. But I can't get to them. I finally figured out that in settings you have to then go to the Call menu and change the Voicemail Service back to "My carrier" from Google Voice. But then the Voicemail Number stills shows as the google voice number.What is the number to change it to for Verizon Voicemail? Will that take care of it and allow me to check the 3 unheard messages and then get all of my messages from here on out?

I like the eris a lot, mostly because of it's size and the senseUI, but a part of me yearns for the larger, sharper display of the moto droid. Now, I've noticed my eris is starting to chug slowly to do things like typing, changing apps and I'm not sure if it's just because I'm running a bunch of stuff at once or what, but its making me feel like I'd rather have the powerful processor of the droid as well.But, what if I get the droid and decide that I liked the eris better. Will I be stuck with the droid or can I return it and go back to the eris? I guess what I'm really looking for is an explanation of verizon's return policy and perhaps some feedback from those of you who switched from eris to droid.

However, after It brings in all my email, I am left with only being able to get them when I hit the button, "download up to 50 email" or something similar

I had K9 running but recently needed to reset the Nexus and I lost all my K9 settings, I have searched Google but I cannot find what I need, I am in Canada, I have a MSN live account @live.ca, Can anyone give me a link or tell me where to look for settings for the Live email settings? Is it pop or IMAP, what is the SMTP etc. Also can I use K9 for Yahoo mail ?

I have 3 emails: Gmail working OK. Yahoo working OK (using K-9) and there is work account. I can receive emails OK but cannot send any out. Because I cannot use work SMTP server I went and enter my smtp.mobile.mail.yahoo.com port 587 require sign in. There are lots of errors: from push error: null / relay access denied / imap server is not idle capable... Can I have same SMTP under two accounts?
Is there an app that allows you to temporarily unlock your pattern then lock it back without going through settings? Because its gets real annoying to keep putting in my pattern when I'm home alone..

View 4 Replies View RelatedI probably nuked my Droid doing something, either messing with it rooted or cold/snow/moisture got to it. I'd be in the middle of a call and the other person wouldn't hear me. This would happen randomly. I went to Verizon and they simply shipped me a new phone.
Now that I have it, i thought all my apps would be on the SD card. Nope. I can only get back Apps that are the Market has marked as needing update. all my other apps are gone. How can I move them along with my custom setting like GDE etc?
