I'm using HTC desire, I'm sorry if I haven't searched the forum enough.I'm wondering if there is ever a way to post a link in Facebook like how you do it on the full web site- when you click on "What's on your mind" a drop down of several icon appears and when you choose the "link" icon you can paste the URL there.The problem is that without that interface the URL messes up with the actual message you wanted to post (most of the time to explain the link you are posting).

Is this an option they are going to add in the future? I just started using the app for 'Qik', however this is primarily to stream live video from your phone to your Qik channel. It does post a link on FB for others to see the video, even if no longer streaming live, but the videos you record when using the app do not stay native to the phone (cannot view / locate videos in your albums) and you have to go to your channel to view them.Curious if anyone knew of an app that allows you to choose a video from albums and share on social media sites (specifically FB).

For example, even though I have sync for everything on my account turned off, my calendar still showed up on my wife's phone until I disabled it in the calendar app. Also, I can't remove my Google Talk account from her phone so my messages show up on her phone.
This is on a pair of stock Samsung Galaxy S3 phones.
As the title says, I'm looking for an app for Facebook Chat. I've tried Meebo, but I don't need anything other than Facebook chat, and Meebo doesn't work right now anyways.

1- Android market do not work. When I run android market nothing appeared.
2- I cannot login to my twitter and I do not know why. I check the password twice from my computer but on hero not work.
3- Is it any way for updating facebook status faster? Is there any facebook widget?
Am just wondering if anyone is having any issues with Facebook updating at the moment? I'm on vodafone and when i try to refresh the news feed, i keep getting a "an error had occurred while fetching data (null)" message appearing. It's the original Facebook app on the phone, and i've never had any problems with it before, so am a little confused why it has suddenly stopped working. I haven't changed any settings or anything.

View 6 Replies View RelatedMy friendstream and facebook app aren't working. Whenever I open friendstream it loads for a minute or two and then just tells me I have to force close it. And as for facebook the actual app works, but when I try to use the widget it tells me problem loading gadget. But if I delete it, reinstall it, and don't download the update it works fine. Is this just me or is it a problem with the app?

View 6 Replies View RelatedI would love some help with this if anyone can figure out what's going on. I have the FB for Android app installed. I am rooted with Bugless Beast. I was trying to add FB as a sync account through settings-->accounts & sync, but when I click add account-->FB, nothing happens. Then I logged out of the FB app, and my attempt to add a sync account would bring me to the login screen. I can log in, but the account doesn't show up in my list of sync accounts. And I'm back to nothing happening when I do add account-->FB. When I go to a contact, in the sync and gallery screens both say to log in to FB to link. In the sync screen, nothing happens when I tap. In the gallery screen, it pulls up a loading screen that stays up indefinitely. I uninstalled and reinstalled the FB app, and that made no difference. Right now, I'm syncing my pictures using SyncMyPix, but I would like full integration of my contacts and FB friends. I'd appreciate any help getting this to work.

I wanted to update the contact image as i know a few have changed and to do this was told remove the account and then re add it after a short break and it will sync..
well i did that and it has now left me with "facebook friends (0)" which is complete balls... if i use the facebook phonebook folder on the home screen it shows everyone that was on my contacts..
when i hit people and online directory and menu refresh it does nothing.. and sometimes comes back with connection error.. or nothing at all.
i thought it was a problem with phone so i backed everything up and decided factory reset to see if this would fix (plus i needed to free all the crap apps off) still nothing.
is this a problem with sync today or something ? anyone else having similar problems?
Last week I cleared the data on Facebook for HTC Sense, Facebook app and Instagram app on my Wildfire S. After that I couldn't get Instagram to connect to Facebook and thought I'd done something wrong.. Last night I got a new phone (2nd hand - Incredible S) and I still can't get Instagram to connect with Facebook. I keep getting "authorize htc sense for facebook" in a triangle at the top when I try and it seems to go part the way (logging in, choosing to allow Instagram to share things on my behalf) then it goes to a "page cannot be displayed" type page and won't go any further.
I'm signed into HTC Sense (same email) and tried to sync Facebook but the only part that won't sync is "sync live feed" which I'm guessing is linked in with why Instagram isn't connecting.
So my new incredible doesn't update like my blackberry did. I checked the settings and the notifications are selected, but nothing comes through. When I open the app and goto the home screen and then notifications, I have to force a refresh to see my responses, etc.

I see some pretty good improvements over 1.5, but now I've installed the latest update of the 'official' face book app, and the Face book widget no longer works! I get 'problem loading gadget' where the widget should appear on my phone The app still works if I click on the icon, but the widget is now 'broken'. Anyone else have this problem?
View 4 Replies View RelatedThis feature on my desire has never worked but im only just getting round to asking why. it happens when i get a facebook notification and drag down the notification pane from the top of the screen. when i get a "new poke" notification and tap the message it takes me to my facebook home page and i can respond to the poke, that works fine. however when i get a "new message" notification and i tap that it just redirects me to a blank page. ie the weblink doesnt work. is there anyway to edit the weblink for this notification so that it redirects me to my facebook homepage?

View 7 Replies View RelatedOn the Facebook app, when you go into your Home, you can select Notifications. I'm assuming this will show you anything new such as friend requests, etc.. It doesn't show anything for me. I have reset the phone 3 times and I still cannot get this section to work. I also go to Menu>Refresh and it still says "No notifications". I know I have some notifications pending because the desktop and mobile site both say I do. Does anyone else have this problem? I have also uninstalled any Facebook updates and it still does not fix this. Am I missing something?

For awhile, my Facebook push notifications were working just fine until I had updated to Jelly Bean. I tried everything.. to clearing cache, data, uninstalling, and even the BlackBerry trick again (worked once before) and couldn't for the life of me figure out why they weren't working anymore. I thought maybe it was Facebook clashing with JB. I read everywhere and found out some people had no issues and some had some where every push notifications didn't work and some just Facebook.
Well I spend a day or so trying to figure it out and finally found a new, simple fix.
1) Open the Facebook app.
2) Tap on menu button on the top left
3) Account > Account Settings
4) Apps and Websites
5) Clear out Facebook related apps (Like Friendcaster or HTC Sense)
6) Clear data on the Facebook app and launch app
I noticed some off the apps in there have a push notification toggle button and I believe it was messing up the push notification system of there was to many to keep up with.
Once I spent 20 mins clearing those apps out, I cleared data and started the app notifications started working again. I didn't know it worked until someone wrote on my wall and I was shocked to see a notification!

I saw previous post about the facebook syncing not working. Whats the issue? I had the same problem.When i first got my phone I had no problem everything synced into my contacts fine and for some stupid reason i deleted my accounts and when i tried to put them back in it didnt work again. I can get the updates but i cant get the actual contacts in my contact phonebook.SECONDLY NOW my twitter account for some reason has disappeared on its own and when i try to add the account it keeps saying that the login failed. I know for a fact im putting in the right information. It also was having a problem sync my twitter contacts in before this incident happened as well. WHAT IS GOING ON?
