Everytime i click for notifications, an error message appears. "Cannot retrieve the notifications. Please try again later [601/Parser error:unexpected '-' at position 64.]"

I have manged to set the phone to my level of perfection. I have noticed though that facebook notifications are not appearing in my notification far. I have everything set up to refresh but notifications are never pulled down unless I go into the app and load it.

It's really annoying me, I even told facebook not to link up at all when I first started the application to avoid problems like this.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI attend to this error in notifications several times each day. I'm not asking it to update mind you. It's trying this all of it's smarty pants x10i self. When I actually do bring up the facebook application it acts ok. The one thing this x10i can't do is upgrade to adobe flashplayer. There are places that tell me I don't have video on my phone in order to view the news clip or whatever. It's not a big deal to me and don't really need it. It would be nice to turn off the facebook "unable to update" in my notifications, without removing facebook entirely.

I was not able to open the SMS by tapping on the envelope icon on the notification, however I am able to clear it from the notification. BUT each time I receive a SMS this notification pops up again, so each time i have to clear this msg. What can i do to get rid of it?

The problem started after I updated my phone's software not to 2.1 (as its not available for my phone as yet) but another update that the software said was available. Upon completing the update I then reconnected my phone to the USB port but then my computer said there's no drivers installed for my phone. I've tried letting windows search for drivers but no luck with that. I find this strange when previously everything worked fine and I could browse the files on my memory card, but now all I get is no drivers are available. I've tried searching for drivers on line, but there doesn't seem to be none. Is there any way to solve this problem?

I've tried using different security protocols and they all yield the same result, it cannot successfully obtain an IP address. Occasionally it would work, but most of the time it doesn't.

No sounds come out of the speaker used for listening to voice calls on the front of the phone. Wonder if the phone can be modified to output notifications from that speaker as well as the one on the side? Guessing though, that it isn't a very loud speaker though as you've normally got your ear stuck to it!
