Afternoon all I get notifications in the pull down top bar when i have new facebook messages; clicking on those brings up the browser and loads

it always fills the loading bar, says done, but loads nothing but a blank page. anyone else get this, know how to fix it?

I have download Facebook Official Apps and working great. But I have some issues. I can't find inbox menu. What should I do to access inbox? That I mean read and write?
View 27 Replies View Relatedok so my contacts WERE synced to my facebook and it gave me their number name birthday etc etc etc..
I wanted to update the contact image as i know a few have changed and to do this was told remove the account and then re add it after a short break and it will sync..
well i did that and it has now left me with "facebook friends (0)" which is complete balls... if i use the facebook phonebook folder on the home screen it shows everyone that was on my contacts..
when i hit people and online directory and menu refresh it does nothing.. and sometimes comes back with connection error.. or nothing at all.
i thought it was a problem with phone so i backed everything up and decided factory reset to see if this would fix (plus i needed to free all the crap apps off) still nothing.
is this a problem with sync today or something ? anyone else having similar problems?
This feature on my desire has never worked but im only just getting round to asking why. it happens when i get a facebook notification and drag down the notification pane from the top of the screen. when i get a "new poke" notification and tap the message it takes me to my facebook home page and i can respond to the poke, that works fine. however when i get a "new message" notification and i tap that it just redirects me to a blank page. ie the weblink doesnt work. is there anyway to edit the weblink for this notification so that it redirects me to my facebook homepage?

1. He is on my Facebook contact. (His facebook pic appears in my Desire contact list)
2. He is my Gmail contact as well.
3. He is added as a 'Phone Contact' as well.
I sent him a text few days ago but don't remember if it was using facebook or my phone (network provider sms) but now when I go in to 'Messages' and send him a message, I just can't figure out if I am sending him a message via Facebook or to his mobile number.
It seems for the last couple months i always have to do manual refresh on my inbox to get my emails to show up in my inbox. ADR6400L

I've been using Maildroid for about 6 months with no issues. However, the past couple of days, I have one email account that says there are new emails to display, but when I click on it, nothing appears in the Inbox. However, if I go to the Combined inbox, they are there. This email was working before a few days ago! I even deleted the email account and re-created it. Still no email displaying in the Inbox. I do receive a message saying something about server messages and Inbox not available, but I've looked everywhere to find any information on this (even googled it and checked the forums with no luck).

He's set up his gmail and work mail on the phone just fine, but his hotmail is playing silly buggers. The gmail is through that app, the work and hotmail through the desire mail app.
Anyway - he cannot get any hotmail emails into the inbox. When you first set up the account, he gets two 'welcome' mails - the kind you get when you set up the mail account online, welcoming you to your inbox. No other emails ever come through.
However - he can send from it. And it appears in his outbox online.
I looked in the syncing sections and under the exchange active sync - which works for his work - there is no hotmail. Except somehow it must sync somehow as it's sending his hotmail fine...
Under SMS, Is there a way or any software which can show INBOX, OUTBOX, SENT, DRAFT, ?

Issue: Switch on tethering OR mobile hotspot ->mobile network dies
I've installed Froyo on a T-Mobile branded Desire. After the update, turning on USB tethering leads to immediate loss of mobile network - it just turns itself off. Same goes for the mobile Wifi hotspot: turn on -> for 2 seconds, it's working -> mobile network drops off. Moving into airplane mode and back brings back the network, but tethering is a goner. With 2.1, USB tethering had worked. I'm on Base, a brand of e-plus. I've talked to their customer services, they say Base absolutely supports tethering.
Setting up my new htc desire just have 2 quick email related questions
1. is there no push notification email on IMAP ?
2. is it possible to get notifications on new email in secondary folders as well as INBOX?
Since updating to 2.2, I lose anything left in my Inbox after about 2 days. I used to have this problem and remember making a change in settings to sort it out but I can't find anyway of doing this in 2.2. (This is NOT googlemail)
View 6 Replies View RelatedI'm running into some issues with the HTC Mail client and I'm about ready to throw fits.I've configured my work IMAP email account, but it's not pulling any emails down to the inbox.I get the 'No mail' message when there is most definitely mail there.I can send from the account just fine, and the sent items feed back to the server w/out any problems.I've tried deleting the account and reconfiguring same result.Any way to start from a clean slate in the HTC Mail client w/out wiping the entire unit? I have configured another user's phone (same exact phone) on the same email system and theirs worked as expected adding to the frustration!

It's all set up fine, I can send emails from it (have tested this too) - the only, somewhat major problem!, is that it says my inbox has 'No Mail' regardless of how many times I refresh the page. It's showing my mail in the sent folder ok but have never been able to retrieve my mail from my inbox for some bizarre reason.

When I click on the mailbox it seems to open a whole new page in white, same emails though. Also, when I receive an email I get TWO notifications and effectively have to click on both and open the email twice to delete it. It seems the gmail inbox is duplicated?

It still comes up with it still ending in googlemail.com at the top of the inbox. I am a novice when it comes to android. but loving it.
Maybe that will sound weird and silly but when I try to send an email to someone, I cant send it, sometimes email is coming back on my inbox! It looks like i am sending emails to myself. I checked my settings and everything is fine. Anyone can help?
View 2 Replies View RelatedMy 'accounts & sync' settings have always had 'facebook' turned off for syncing, and I have never turned it on. Yet this morning i was playing around with the bit in 'people' to try and see if the facebook bit in there worked and i would be able to link a contact in there with their facebook account. It asked me to log into facebook (after which incidentally it could not then find the contact in facebook lol). After that i went to the calendar and it now shows ALL 2500 facebook contacts birthdays!!
Please tell me there is a way to undo this. at no point did i ever select auto facebook syncing, or choose to import facebook calendar. Obviously now the calendar is pretty unusable as there are multiple bithdays on every day.
Anyone else finding the Facebook Mobile app is often unresponsive lately? Often these days I receive a white screen with the animated round arrow and the first screen never appears. Anyone have a fix?
View 1 Replies View RelatedI have been trying to find a way of quickly switching off/on the Mobile Network setting from the home screen. When searching Google there's loads of pages stating that it is an HTC Widget that can be added. I have checked all the widgets on the Desire HD and cannot seem to find it anywhere. I am using an unbranded handset.
The Desire HD manual even states "You can also add widgets that allow you to quickly switch on or off certain settings of your phone, such as Wi-Fi, Mobile Network...".
Does anyone else with an HD handset have this widget ?
Is there an app that gets peoples mobile numbers from Facebook and creates them as a contact in your phone?
I would've thought there would be, but I can't find any that do that. I got an Eris recently and couldn't import my contacts from my old phone, so I was hoping I could do it this way.
Facebook app will not work over mobile data on my GS3. It works fine over WiFi, but on mobile data its slow. I flashed the 4.1.2 leak i wonder if that has anything to do with it.
View 6 Replies View RelatedMy HTC Desire's Facebook directory lists 205 friends for my Facebook, while in reality I have 207 (and Facebook for Android app of course shows them all, too)I'm not quite sure why or how 2 of them have gone missing, but I think one went when I messed a bit up, merged 2 contacts on my phone and started removing information from that contact, so it in the end had only 1 number and 1 facebook friend linked to it. Ever since I haven't been able to see the friend whose contact/link I removed in Facebook directory.I've tried uninstalling Facebook for Android to access Facebook for HTC Sense, but apparently it can't be completely uninstalled - only the update(s) for it, and the cache/data can be uninstalled for what I can tell.
So I've uninstalled it's updates, I've cleared it data/cache - and I've cleared all the cache/data from Facebook for HTC Sense too.I've removed my phone-linked Facebook account, too, with no luck.No matter how many times I try re-syncing or refreshing, the 2 contacts are still missing.One new contact that I added as my friend today appeared normally, though.Any ideas how to fix this? It's annoying when I can't link 1 contact to her Facebook, when I have pretty much everyone else linked to theirs.
I'm a little confused as to how to differentiate between Facebook and Facebook for HTC Sense, which both can be found in Settings>Accounts & Sync.Does anybody know the difference between the two apps? Is the Sense version purely for the Friends Stream, as there's the same situation for Twitter?
