View 4 RepliesIs there anyway to make the incredible stop notifications for new email and sms messages without stopping it from ringing? I am a new user and am used to the blackberry setup that would vibrate those notifications in the holder but still allow the phone to ring. I figure there has to be an app for this but can't find it.

View 1 Replies View RelatedMy first question is about low battery notification. I would like turn off this popup which occurs when battery is low during my application is on. I can catch of course Intent.ACTION_BATTERY_LOW but additionaly Android show me this popup. Is it possible to turn it off? Second topic is about turning on bluetooth. When I turn it on using API system show me additional popup asking if I agree to turn on bluetooth module by this application. Is it possible to turn off this popup. I have HTC Legend on which popup occurs and my friend has Motorola Milestone on which it doesn't occur. So probably it's only in HTC Andoid implementation.

View 3 Replies View RelatedI would like to skip 1 particular app update, or at least turn off the notification that this app update is available, but *not* lose other app update notifications. This isn't about email, sms, battery, or other notifications, only the notifications that app updates are available.
Specifically: Yelp just released an update that wants permission to view my phonebook. I don't see why they need that and don't want to give permission. The older version of Yelp did not seem to ask for this, and I'm happy w/ the app and prefer not to uninstall totally, just skip this particular update with the feature I don't like. (Appreciate your thoughts on that Yelp / privacy issue too, fwiw).
So, I want to get rid of the notification for this particular update. But, I don't want to turn off notifications when other apps have available updates. When I click on the notification, I have option to "update" or "uninstall." Neither is what I want, I want to "skip this update, keep app." The top bar icon goes away after I check, but it comes right back soon after, always w/ the Yelp update waiting there, sometimes w/ other updates for other apps too. How to get rid of the one I don't want, keep the others coming through?
Are there any good alarm applications for the X10i?
Basically I use my phone as an alarm to get up for work. My old Nokia N96 I could set the alarm and then switch the phone off at night and the alarm would still go off on time. This does not seem to be the case with the X10i. It doesn't even go off when the phones in airplane mode which is poor. I just don't want to have to leave my phone on overnight in case it rings and i wake up.
Are there any good alarm apps that allows you to turn the phone off and the alarm would still ring at 6.30 for work?
I miss my Blackberry choices for notification, in particular, phone only. A quick one press button for ring, vibrate, ring phone only, silent. I use profile and find it a little too in depth. I want something simple. I also think there may be a gremlin or two as I have found my settings changed without my doing anything.

View 5 Replies View RelatedWhenever I get a new voicemail, I get two simultaneous notifications. One, the standard voicemail notification that stays in the tray even after clearing notifications. The second is an SMS notification and it goes into my text messages.I have no need for the SMS notification if it's already giving me the standard VM notification, but have been unable to find out how to turn it off.My phone isn't rooted, and I don't plan on doing so in the near future, in case that has any bearing on potential solutions.

View 1 Replies View RelatedOk, so I have LauncherPro and I tried Handcent and chompsms, both messaging apps I got 2 text message notifications for 1 message. I have searched and learned I need to turn my notifications in settings off. But I can't figure out how to do that. People say go to setting>notifications>and turn it off. But when I go to >setting, then there is no >notifications option. The only notifications setting I can find is under >sound>notification ringtone, but not an option to turn it off or on.

Any app that would work in all these cases... turning on the display when this occurs? I don't know if it's because I'm using screen lock that this is occurring?

View 12 Replies View RelatedIs there a way to turn off the weather notifications in this app? We have been having a crappy snowstorm all day, and I keep getting the notification no matter how many times I clear it. It just keeps coming back every few minutes or so. And every time it comes back, it makes a notification sound and stays in my notification bar up top... also, it happens to be my text message sound, so it's driving me crazy. The only option in the settings is for Units of Measure.Oh and also annoying, the notification doesn't go away when you click on it to check it, like with messages or e-mails. You have to actually go back to your notifications bar and click Clear Notifications.
