Oct 6, 2013on my Nexus 7 (Android 4.3). Via the reading history of my pdf reader (Moon+ reader) I can see that at least one file is still present in the cache under the following folder address:

How can I access this folder? When accessing the device via the Android File Transfer sofware for Mac, I don't see this folder. I have access to Android/data/com.google.android.apps.docs/files, but this folder contains no files but only another folder (called "pinned_doc_files_not_for_edit") which is also empty.
The lost pdf is still there, I can open it in the reader via the reading history, but I would like to access the folder to see whether other lost files (which are not in the reading history) are also still present. To be clear, the file which I can open is also not detected when searching the device for pdfs.

Feb 4, 2010Just downloaded a file manager (two, actually - deciding which one I like best), but in accessing my SD card, I notices a bunch of folders with nothing in them. I'm wondering if this is possibly due to when I switched from my Motorola Droid, they allowed me to take that 16 gb card and put it in my Eris since I had some downloads and photos on it (and, yes, I had to buy a replacement 16 gb card for the Droid, so now I have an extra 8 gig card just laying around doing nothing). So I was wondering, does anyone else have these files? Are they safe to delete? Should I delete them or just leave them? Here is the "tree." I've indented sub folders five spaces and put in parenthesis if the folder/subfolder contains any files/info.

Oct 14, 2010So, I downloaded MP3 Music Download App. and then downloaded a song. Shortly after, my phone locked up. I pulled the battery and restarted and now the phone (Droid X) freezes upon startup when it tried to load the card. I suspect that the song I downloaded is messing it up. I am relatively new to Android phones and SD Cards in general, but any tips on how to fix this issue?

Android : Call Hidden API In Droid To Turn Screen Off?
Dec 9, 2009I'm thinking about using a hidden api to turn the screen off in my app. setScreenState from http://android.git.kernel.org/?p=platform/frameworks/base.git;a=blob;f=core/java/android/os/Power.java does what I want, but its a hidden API. Does that mean I shouldn't use it? I would think its a fairly stable api.
Currently, I'm setting the screen timeout to 1 millisecond, and then resetting the timeout once the screen turns off. However, android ignores the 1 millisecond and instead it takes about 3 seconds to turn off and sometimes it ignores it completely and doesn't turn off.
Any suggestions?
