I was running apps2sd them upgraded to xrtrom 4.2 with cach2cach. So i was wondering how do i remove all the apps saved on my sd card so that i can free up that space.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI'm not trying to remove programs necessarily, but more trying to clean up my SD card. I don't know if this makes a difference, but I am rooted. I have a bunch of folders on my SD card that I'm not sure where they came from or what they are for. If anyone can tell me what I can delete, I'd seriously appreciate it. Here's my list:
.tmp (directory)
albumthumbs (directory)
amazonmp3 (directory - I've never used amazon mp3)
Android (directory)
Clockworkmod (Directory)
Cracked Apps (I made this, I use this one) (Directory)

Does anyone know of a way to remove and clean the trackball and rolling bars under it?

View 14 Replies View RelatedI have a stock Eris and the other day my sdcard went corrupted. I learned this from when I got the new swype beta email and went to download the .apk. It told me a sdcard was required (I had never taken the sdcard out of the phone to being with). Anyways I brought it to verizon and the guy said it was done and gave me a 16gb card (8 was in there previously). So now I was able to download the .apk file; however when I try to click on it to install it says I can't because there is not enough space on Phone.
Now I don't know how much for it is required. But I have 14gb on the card available and 25mg on the internal phone storage. Now since uninstalling swype and trying to download I haven't added any more apps that would take up additional space. I've actually uninstalled a few, so I should have more space than I did before this whole thing started.
How can you remove a file from the PDF viewer? I called and spoke to someone at htc and when I was done they could not help and wiped out all of my contacts.
View 3 Replies View RelatedI recently installed XtrSense ROM on my wifes Eris, and now she came to me today saying that she is getting "Low on space" errors, sure enough I checked, she only has 14mb on internal memory. I checked the amount of apps she has, and it wasn't much more then I had the phone when it was stock, she has like 20 apps in there, and when I had the phone on Stock, I had 30 apps and 100+mb free. So, is it the ROM that is taking up all the space? or the Nandroid backup? If I enabled Apps2SD will that move all apps to the sd card?

View 1 Replies View RelatedJust downloaded a file manager (two, actually - deciding which one I like best), but in accessing my SD card, I notices a bunch of folders with nothing in them. I'm wondering if this is possibly due to when I switched from my Motorola Droid, they allowed me to take that 16 gb card and put it in my Eris since I had some downloads and photos on it (and, yes, I had to buy a replacement 16 gb card for the Droid, so now I have an extra 8 gig card just laying around doing nothing). So I was wondering, does anyone else have these files? Are they safe to delete? Should I delete them or just leave them? Here is the "tree." I've indented sub folders five spaces and put in parenthesis if the folder/subfolder contains any files/info.

It's an instruction sheet for my jawbone headset) google_maps_navigation cache (7 .wav files and two other files. tilecache_ImageTileSt - both start with this, but I can't see the rest of the extension. One is 6KB, the other 163KB.) - When I play the .wav files, they give me "directions." I think it's to a place when I went when I had my Droid, but I don't remember and I certainly don't remember saving the location.

I want to clean my SD card with applications on it, but it's not obvious where those apps reside. I understand they may be encrypted, which is fine. I have no intention of copying or trading them. I just would like to know what NOT to delete so that I don't mistakenly erase them from my card.

I am able to copy over a 1gb file to and from, but when I try the 5gb file, I receive the following message:The disk in the destination drive is full. Insert a new disk to continue. Retry Cancel. If I click Retry, I get the following:
Cannot copy (filename): there is not enough free disk space. What's the deal? Anyone know how to get this to work?
How do you copy files to the SD card? When I look in the Mobile Devices folder, it won't allow me to copy any files. When I click on Removable Disk, it asks for a disk.

I saved the new update zip file onto my sd card in a folder that I created, but I have no idea on how to install it as I am new to Android Platform.
Can someone please post the process for installing a zip file onto the Evo from the sd card?
My X has been having a couple of problems this week. It has force rebooted four times, frozen up twice and been sluggish a handful of times. I'd like to completely format my SD card and factory reset and start over. Is there anything necessary on the card that I need to keep (besides my personal data)?

I am unable to created a new custom scene, each time i navigate back to the scene selection it always shows that i have selected clean slate. in the past i have been able to scroll from scene to scene, from custom to the android defaults, without any issues.
How do you get an Eris out of safe mode? My wife left her phone outside and it got a little wet. I dried it off and pulled the battery to make sure it didn't get wet. Put it all back together and rebooted. Now the phone is stuck in safe mode. No downloaded apps are showing, Lookout will not open in App Manager, Pandora won't work, and I'm sure I'm missing some more.

View 5 Replies View RelatedSO I sinstalled the CM 6.0.0 rom to check it out. I downloaded some apps and fiddled with some settings to see if I liked it, but decided to do a wipe before using it "for real". Unfortunately, I can't get it back to a clean install because it insists on restoring all of my previous settings and applications. Even ones I've uninstalled and gotten refunds for, no matter what settings I put in the Privacy section about backing up and restoring.

View 1 Replies View RelatedOkay, I don't use sense anymore because I am totally loving launcher pro. However, I have noticed with fresh 2.3.3 that there is a lot of junk on there that I don't want or need, like "coin," "battery," "Dice," etc. Since these are system apps I can't remove them through the uninstall app. Does anyone have any idea of which of these sense apps are safe to remove through adb and which are not?
View 10 Replies View RelatedI had been using the HTC Battery Widget while on 1.5 and it never caused me problems as far as I know with being a drain on the battery life. Now after the OTA on 2.1 my battery life seems to have gone down drastically and I heard that this widget could be the culprit. So, which battery widget are you using with 2.1 that is "safe" on overall battery life?
