Motorola Milestone :: Blank SD Card (8GB) - Unsupported File System
Jun 12, 2010My brother just bought a Milestone and he's having problems with the SD card (8gb). What happens is that he put some music on his phone, and with the program Ringdroid, began to cut some songs. Then, the phone began to crash, he restarted it. After restarting, the device didn't recognize the memory, saying "Blank sd card or unsupported system", occasionally rebooting, indicates that it was removed. I have looked in other threads and google it, but found nothing useful. I can't unmount or format it from the phone. And as I have the G1, I put my card (that works) on Milestone and got the same problem, so I think it's not the SD. I've already formatted it, nothing.

Jul 6, 2011Seen this error. My sd card is not readable on any android phone or computer ive tried it on.
What I think broke it was the NEW SD CARD storage optimizer by Kalyani, I opened it up after downloading off the android market and used a feature called file explorer. It took forever to read all the files on my card and eventually I closed it out before its completion and immediately noticed my sd card is now inaccesable.
Is that error fixable or should I throw out the card?

Aug 11, 2010Every time. I load a froyo ROM this pops up. I'm running. Nonsensikal 1.5 now but others have said this too and I know my SD card is not blank. Do I have the wrong card in there. Its the stock 8gb. It doesn't. Let me download any Apps. that require SD permission. What do I do because I really want to keep this ROM.

Aug 17, 2010today I put my sd card into my sd card reader to throw some photos on to my computer. After I was done i put the sd card back into my droid and booted it up. After booting I get a notification saying my SD card is blank, so I turn off the phone and pull the battery out. When I grabbed my SD card it burnt my hand "literally" it was that hot... Wtf?!?! I put the SD card back in the reader and the computer doesnt even see the card. Idk if anyone has heard of a similar problem b4 and knows a fix...Thanks in advance! Side Note; I work at a cell phone repair store, so I put the sd card in two other blackberry's and they say "your sd card needs to be formated or it is corrupt". I put other sd cards into my phone and i have no problems.

Jul 2, 2010Ok just got my EVO yesterday. This is not only my first android phone, but my first smart phone as well. I'm fairly savvy when it comes to computers and techy stuff, but I do have what sounds like a ridiculous question. I bluetoothed some files (songs and pictures) from my old phone to my EVO. It acknowledged getting them and indeed I was able to play them from the notification area after receiving them. However, now I cannot find anyplace to 'browse' the phone folders or the SD card folders so I can find and utilize these files. How do you access the SD card or the file system?

The last rom i used was apex and i was able to use the terminal to push it but the terminals on the app market wont do it. Do i need to change permissions so it will show up in my app drawer?

Apr 9, 2010Everytime I start my phone up it says the SD card is or has unsupported filesystem. When you click on it.. it asks to format... you click "format" and then the phone just freezes. If I receive a picture in a txt and I click on it, the phone freezes. When I plug my phone into the computer through the USB cable, mount, and try to format it through the computer it says windows is unable to complete the format. I've reset the phone to factory reset also, no luck.

Feb 1, 2010If I want to send a contact in my contact list I can via "share" in the contacts menu. It then attaches a .VCF attachment to my email. I can then send it to anyone via e-mail. I tried this with and iphone buddy and he was able to see and save the file as a contact perfectly. He then tried to send me one, but Gmail says that .VCF files are unsuported. How is it that they designed the phone to send them but not receive them. What am I missing here.

I pulled the battery and restarted and now the phone (Droid X) freezes upon startup when it tried to load the card. I suspect that the song I downloaded is messing it up. No it's really annoying.Every once in a while I'll click on my app drawer and it's completely blank.Closing it and reopening it doesn't seem to work. Even if I delete it, it will reappear. Even if I try black list it will reappear. The date of the text message used to be consistently the same as well as the same time until today. Dec 16, 2011So recently I obtained a new 16 GB micro SD card which worked fine with my previous phone and typically worked well with my Galaxy SII as well, but when I went to transfer files from my computer to the card I ran into an issue. After all the files we're transferred it all seemed fine, but shortly afterward I ran into a blank SD card notification and was prompt to format via phone, which managed to format successfully. So then I went through the process again, this time putting nearly everything through a file converter before transferring. Again, everything seemed fine until a short while later when I have a blank card and prompt to format yet again. And like before the formatting seemed to work fine.
And to provide a bit more information that may be relevant, since our computer doesn't seem to play nice with my SD card (no window pops up after inserting and when attempting to read the card via My Computer it simply locks up and becomes unresponsive) when I transferred the files I did so through having my old phone plugged in with the card inserted and managed to get to it that way. With the second attempt I just used my current phone instead with hopes that it would work better that way. Unfortunately the same issue occurred as mentioned above.
So that pretty much covers it. If I had to guess it would seem that a hiccup is occurring with the transfer process that makes the card appear blank shortly afterward. Would be nice to find a way to prevent this from happening again.
HTC Desire :: Deleted Photo Leaves Blank Image File
Aug 24, 2010I deleted 5 or 6 photos from my gallery. Now when I scroll through my gallery where the photos were, is just a blank space. I deleted the pics thinking it would automatically compress the gallery together, not leave me with the blanks.
