How can we make our browser as default in android. i want to implement that when you open up the internet browser it gives you two options: regular browser and Mybrowser(third party browser which is made by me). If you select the regular broswer it says that the phone cannot access the internet unless it is on the Mybrowser. can we implemnt this feature? if yes than how?

It gave the option of viewing the video in a browser or in the native YouTube app. There was also a "Make this action default" checkbox at the bottom. However, it is not only the system default, but it even opens links I click on in the Android provided browser (sometimes I both open). On your computer, when you click links in your non-default browser it doesn't send the links to the default one, and it shouldn't on this OS, either. Any ideas how to keep Dolphin as my system default browser, but not have it open links I click on in the Android web browser?

At the moment I am trying to evaluate if it is possible to reuse the android contact search in a 3rd party application.
I got the problem that I have to implement a contact list/picker including a filtering possibility for the contacts list. That means that the standard android picker opened by an intent does not help me. So I decided to implement the list/picker on my own which is not that difficult. But I need to be able to offer the android search dialog in my own implementation as well.
So is it possible to reuse the standard contact search mechanism in an own application? (the contact search available e.g. in the default contact list) Or do I have to implement this one on my own?
I've noticed something since I updated my phone to kitkat 4.4.2 (it's a Z1 compact).
Whenever I use another app than my default app to send SMS, eg. I'm using SMSPopup, Glowfly or event another "real" SMS app along with my default one (let's say hangouts or Handcent), I have duplicate sent SMS, that means I have twice my sent messages in my list. I didn't have this issue on JB.
I tried to tweak access/read/write permissions via AppOps but the result is still the same. I now have to use the same app for popups/Notifications and SMS. Other SMS apps are useless because they duplicate the text messages.
I downloaded an external browser and I would like to use it as my default, so if I click on a link, it opens it up in the new browser. Is there a way to go about doing this?

As a result I cannot preview any sounds or play any music unless I stream with pandora or something. However I like to have the stock browser still be my profile. So what I've done is set up Dolphin to have my work's profile. What I'd like to do is set up a short cut to a bookmark in Dolphin to open in dolphin. Anytime I've set up a shortcut to the URL on the screen it opens up in the stock browser - any way to make a specific shortcut to open a URL in an application of my choosing? But at times I want to use the Stock Browser, I'll just open up "Internet" but when I get there and click on a link from within the Stock Browser, it'll open it up and move me to Dolphin.
