Can you make your android phone generate wifi? Is there an app or method to make your android phone act as a wifi hotspot? I have pda net for my laptop, but was wondering if I could hook up my Wii with wifi.

But I can still use the wifi. Is there anyway that I can use wifi on the phone to make calls? As some of you have reported (and I have personally experienced), it can take too long for the phone to connect/reconnect with your home wifi signal.
Solution:
Toggle on Wifi, then immediately open Wifi Analyzer. For some reason, it forces the handshake almost instantly.
You're connected. And in a fraction of the time compared to if you let the X just run its course.

She has an Incredible and I have an Eris (both on Verizon). It looks like we can't use Skype because it requires Verizon network coverage to work. I've attempted to test this out by using the mobile widget and turning it off. I can make and receive calls with only wifi on, but I still find it hard to believe. I'm assuming that I haven't fully turned off the 3g radio. Looking for options, as I work in a bad reception zone (basement).
