how to change the tab indicator's images in android? there is a tab_indicator.xml file in-built in android sdk. in that the Relative layout has the background as a tab_indicator file as background. how to customize this images in tab_indicator and set our new images? I have a problem that the not selected tabs are highlighted with a white under line.because of those images. how to customize it?

Consequently, when the user clicks the Preference, I spin off an AsyncTask to do the work. In the meantime, I disable the Preference and replace the check box with an indeterminate ProgressBar. View 2 Replies View RelatedI'm basically using the same method of loading bitmaps in OpenGL that the SpriteMethodTest example uses and have been unable to get rid of an annoying outline that appears around all of my images.
For example, If I were to load an image of a white circle on a white background, I would expect to see nothing. Instead, I would see my circle because its edge would be gray. In SpriteMethodTest, I replaced the background image with white and was able to see that the edges of the android images flying around also don't seem to be rendered correctly.
Does anyone know how to load images in OpenGL without having a thin outline appear around the images?

I want to make an application which makes a clone of users current theme and allows user to customize content that he wants to view such as phonebook, pics and etc.
I'm working to convert some background images to nine patch so they scale better on different phones.
The problem is that if I have the following resource structure: drawable-hdpi/background.png drawable-hdpi/button.png drawable-mdpi/background.png drawable-mdpi/button.png drawable-ldpi/background.png drawable-ldpi/button.png and then I drop a new drawable-hdpi/background.9.png file into the mix, it breaks button.png during the pre-compile. The error is "No resource found that matches the given name (at 'background' with value '@drawable/button').Simply removing that one nine patch file fixes the build. Should I be able to have some nine patch images and some normal ones, or to have nine patch only in hdpi but not mdpi or ldpi? This is Eclipse 3.5.1 with the latest ADT.
Having already tried battery monitor and battery left, I'm wondering what is the best battery indicator. Battery monitor drains battery faster, and battery left, I've read and seen to be inaccurate. Any thoughts?

View 3 Replies View RelatedI woke up this morning and noticed that the temp was not showing on my phone, but sometimes it doesn't so I didn't think twice about it. I took it off the dock and went about my morning business. I signed on to my pc and noticed I Gmail mail but got no notifications on my phone. I then picked up my phone to see what was going on and had NO 3g indicator showing on top and could not access the web. I shut it down and turned it back on, got my mail notification and my 3g indicator back and can get online.
Has anyone had this happen before? It totally disconnected from the network it seems? It's never done such a thing before.
Was there no addition of a battery charging Indicator in the OTA? I only get a solid red light when my battery is below 15%, blinking green for notifications and a solid blue light for missed calls.

View 18 Replies View RelatedI have been having problems with my G2x's this is the 4th G2x I've had. My first one had a short, second one would randomly flash when I didnt even have the camera on and the screen would flicker like crazy, third one gave me the black screen of death were it was just all black and the phone would not work at all. The fourth one I have now is constantly shutting off on me all the time. I called T-mobile and told them that IDK what the problem is... I don't DL anything crazy and I really love the G2x when it works could it possibly be the battery because that is the only thing that is the same with the phones. So they are sending me out a new battery. Fast forward four days battery still isn't here and I am having the same problems and occasionally have to take out the battery and put it back in so the phone will power on. This morning I noticed my phone did not charge at all. So I pull off the back and what do I see under the battery and small amount of moisture and the white water damage indicator is now RED!
My phone has never been in water or near water or in the rain hasnt even rained for weeks and weeks now. The thing is if it truly got wet wouldn't the white water damage indicator on the battery be red too? Because that one is still white. I called T-mobile and asked them and they said I would have to do an insurance exchange. I told them I am not trying to exchange the phone, but when my new battery comes in and if it doesnt solve the turning off problem I don't want to have to pay for a new phone when I never got my phone wet. The lady said well maybe when it gets humid but IDK. You will have to do an insurance exchange which is 130 for a phone I did not get wet. Experience this and never got there phone wet. Are there anymore indicators on the phone that would show maybe it didnt get wet like can I ask them to open the phone so they know I am not lying. I am getting sick of dealing with T-mobile now. I always have to fight with them about my rebates, getting phone replaced, bogus charges, ect... Now water damage for non-water damage phone.
