General :: App To Select Images From Google And Set Them Up In Album?
Jun 6, 2013I recently uploaded my entire photo collection (19.500 photos) to Picasa / Google Photos in an effort to make my life a bit easier. Last year I did the same with my docs, music and videos. The idea is to remove the need for a M$ PC in my home, instead accessing all my content from the cloud via my Android units. So far it has worked wonderfully, and I'm really happy I did it. Earlier I used to make a photo collection or two each year of selected photos using a PC-based PhotoBook creator (CeWe: Digital photos, CEWE PHOTO BOOKS, photo gifts - Welcome to the CEWE photoworld! // CEWE - simply beautiful photos), and getting a nice, paper album sent home to me. The question then is, is there a way (app or (android browser friendly) solution) that would allow me to select images from my Google-Picasa-Photo-Cloud-Storage, set them up in scrapbook/album fashion with annotations etc. and finally ordering a printed album like I did before?

Nov 2, 2009I'm basically using the same method of loading bitmaps in OpenGL that the SpriteMethodTest example uses and have been unable to get rid of an annoying outline that appears around all of my images.
For example, If I were to load an image of a white circle on a white background, I would expect to see nothing. Instead, I would see my circle because its edge would be gray. In SpriteMethodTest, I replaced the background image with white and was able to see that the edges of the android images flying around also don't seem to be rendered correctly.
Does anyone know how to load images in OpenGL without having a thin outline appear around the images?
Android :: Adding Some Nine Patch Images Breaks All Of My Other Images
Apr 6, 2010I'm working to convert some background images to nine patch so they scale better on different phones.
The problem is that if I have the following resource structure: drawable-hdpi/background.png drawable-hdpi/button.png drawable-mdpi/background.png drawable-mdpi/button.png drawable-ldpi/background.png drawable-ldpi/button.png and then I drop a new drawable-hdpi/background.9.png file into the mix, it breaks button.png during the pre-compile. The error is "No resource found that matches the given name (at 'background' with value '@drawable/button').Simply removing that one nine patch file fixes the build. Should I be able to have some nine patch images and some normal ones, or to have nine patch only in hdpi but not mdpi or ldpi? This is Eclipse 3.5.1 with the latest ADT.

Motorola Droid :: Loading All The Images?
May 5, 2010I just received a brand new Droid from Verizon to replace my latest refurb Eris because of all the call problems i have had. I figured I could just swap the 8gb SD card I was using in my Eris (because it's a class 6) and put it in my Droid. But when I went to the gallery it started acting really strange. It seems it's having trouble loading all the images, and it's been kind of jumping around and behaving erratically. Is there anything I need to do to my card?

Sep 18, 2010I have never had any gallery problems that i can remember, but all of a sudden my images/folders arent showing in the gallery. I use a file explorer, and it shows that all my files are there, but for some reason nothing will show in the gallery. sometimes i can gt it to show a "camera" folder and like 3 "download" folders, and some weird folders with numbers and stuff, but they never show thumbnails and wont let you click them.
Gone are my picture folders, and also the galleries from picasa web. I have the droid, with the latest updates and everything. Never had this problem before. Was working the other day. Today i was tryin to send someone a picture, and noticed this.
Android :: Images In Web View On Motorola Droid
Oct 19, 2010I am developing a Java Android application that displays web content from the assets folder in a web view. I had no problem getting this content to display in the application but I am confused as to why my images are not displaying properly. I'm working with a Motorola Droid that is supposed to be 480x854 resolution. When I create banner images using these dimensions and attempt to display them in the web view they're enormous and they flow off of the screen. It doesn't appear that the web view is actually 480x854. Can somebody let me know what I am missing here? I do not know what size to set the images to so they are just right.

Dec 30, 2009So human cyborg has set things going again. Check his twitter page for a 2.1 sense that boots on droid -- messing with it now. Main (logcat) issues seems to be some misfit images (fairly simple), to checking for EVDO instead of CDMA, which may be anything from a simple look at a Eris rom to something more.
Feel free to check it out if you want a peak of what sense 2.1 looks like. Not a day to day rom but those of you who are bored/like to tinker.

2: Music, despite me manually dragging some albums over from my laptop, be it in its own folder for the album title or stuffed into one folder called Albums, the music app or Cubed cannot see them, and when I open Cubed it says there are no playlists and dies a death, doesn't give me the opportunity to search for songs on the phone and create one!
Are these issues that have been documented elsewhere? Anyone experience anything similar? Should I be placing my music in one specific folder? the photos should not be disapearing since the phone dictates where they are kept so this one is irritating me!

Jul 8, 2010My camera used to work perfectly. My pics were amazing, and it was just amazing. The focus was never off. Clear, crisp, sharp images. Now, out of nowhere it seems, the camera won't focus. My images are EXTREMELY blurry. It's terrible. Even when I'm just setting up to take the pic, the image looks blurry on the screen. It's bad enough that I can no longer even get the barcode scanner to work. I'm assuming that something wrong with my lens and not anything to do with software etc. And yes, I've cleaned it. And cleaned it. And cleaned it to no avail.

Isn't there a way round this? It's very annoying when you've only got GPRS and you have to wait for that page to load to install a 20kb apk.
It would be great to be able to turn images on and off, or have another interface to Play installed sidebyside with images turned off. Or, firewall just that first page... use hosts file? iptables?
edit: Forgot to add that there is a kludge in a sense - use your browser with images turned off, login and click install, then wait for it to sync. But I'd rather not wait and it would be good to have an alternative interface...
HTC Desire :: Unable To Save Pictures Off Internet With Google Images?
Aug 2, 2010I used to have an HTC Hero and have switched to Desire a few weeks ago.
On my Hero i had different sounds set up for my text messages and my e-mails. For some reason i just can't figure out how to do it on Desire and i really hope that you can have seperate sounds. Any help would be really appreciated. <THE MAIN ISSUE>
The second thing is that to save pictures off the internet i know that you longpress and get the options. However with google images not for some reason you can't do that
The alternatives i've found are to either do the usual longpress options on either the small thumbnail in google search, but that gives a rubbish little pic =/
OR
open the image and then follow link to original page it is from, then save from there.
But both of these are a bit of a faff. So although its not a big issue i'd like to know if there is a way to save from the individual pictures if you know what i mean.
Just another thing i've thought of... because i have an orange branded Desire my music player has a rubbish link to orange music world or something by the play, and skip track buttons...

i tried querying the ContentResolver way i.e.

I'm currently doing setImageResource(R.drawable.hour_1);, but there is a slight delay after I touch the screen and the ImageView actually changes. I figure the delay is the resource being loaded, but I can't find a better way to do this.
