I have attempted to make Handcent my Default SMS by following instructions found on various forums. I went to Messages-Menu-Setting and removed all the checkmarks next to any item listing notifications. I then enabled notifications on the Handcent by following the same steps. This does not seem to work. I still have the default stock SMS. Can someone walk me through how to set it up?

However, it is determined that it will be open, despite putting slide.close() in the onCreate() of my activity. It seems to be closed if i use slide.animateClose() instead, but this slows my application down loads.

In the Dolphin Browser, I clicked on a YouTube link and a "Complete Action Using" dialog box thing popped up. It gave the option of viewing the video in a browser or in the native YouTube app. There was also a "Make this action default" checkbox at the bottom. I accidentally checked that box and chose the browser, not the YouTube app. Is there a way to revise this default action?

Similar to the context menu that comes up when choosing the default home screen for example.
From the Api docs for ContextMenu I see that you can set a header view, but not a footer view. Also the setCheckable / setGroupCheckable methods don't seem to help much here.

I have gone through Google search and found ""FolderMount "" software and downloaded to my tab.
I have installed also. It was successful.when I open FolderMount, it says......""serching for root "" ( with one EXIT button to cancel)....and doing nothing beyond that.
I don't know if this is the right forum for my questions, but I'm sure this will be appropriately moved if it's not. I rooted my EVO and flashed a ROM that has Launcher Pro installed. While I was playing with the phone I chose for the default launcher to be used. I'd like to change that now and can't find a way to make LP my default launcher.
Second, I'm not 100% sure about this, but I believe that most or all of the Sense widgets cannot be used while LP is being used. If that's the case, are there alternatives to the bookmarks widget and the Friend Stream widget?
And lastly, can anyone confirm that the EVO has LED colors other than red/orange and green? Those are the only two I've seen.
i've been trying forever to make the default apps to stick, but each time the phone reboots - it will always ask me again which app should be the default one.
i've tried using 'default app manager pro' but it has done nothing.
this problem has become worse in recent days - now even without rebooting, the default app doesn't get saved even when i click 'Always'.
I'm using Note 3 on 4.4.2 Stock rom.
How do I do this?
