I am using the stock Android calendar and it is synced with my Facebook calendar. When an event that I am attending (from Facebook) shows on my calendar, it has the wrong time (one hour later). what am I missing/not doing?

My old calendar had individual pop ups for each event, the pop up allowed you to open/snooze/ or dismiss each item individually. Also my old calendar had no trouble syncing my gmail and facebook calendars. Android seems to have trouble doing this seemingly simple task. Is there an app or special calendar that can do this?

My phone is cluttered with other people's events in which I have no interest, to the extent that my ability to see what is on my calendar is impaired. I am a medical student and have a pretty crazy schedule and I have relied on google calendar for several years now to keep my schedule. I was excited to use it on my phone, but my problem is that it is syncing with facebook and uploading all these birthdays. Now, I don't want to sound like a jerk who doesn't care about my friends birthdays but I already check those through facebook - they are cluttering up my calendar and I want them off! I can't for the life of me figure out how to make it stop syncing with facebook and it could just be that I don't know where to go. I have looked under "Settings" within the calendar and haven't found it.

View 5 Replies View RelatedIn 2.1 my calendar is only showing back to July 12 depute there being several years of data prior to that. Entries made in the phone do not show up in Google. Entries manually made now, say 7/4 (prior to the 'cutoff' I am seeing in the calendar app) appear immediately in the phone. Any ideas why I am missing all this data? I've tried re-syncing w/ no luck.

I see on my calendar widget that all my Facebook contacts birthdays are loaded on there. I also see in the calendar settings that it's set to notify me when events take place.Several birthdays have passed that are listed on the calendar, but I have not received a single notification.Any way to fix this?

However, when I make a 'phone only' appointment, with NO reminder, I'm not alerted to the actual appointment that I made. Absolutely nothing.
Is this 'by design', which I very much doubt, or a possible flaw in the application itself?
The stock calendar on my Dinc is acting up. When I add an event and want to edit it at a later date it often will not let me change the date and/or time. It also mysteriously duplicates the event at times. Also when I open my calendar and search for an event it will always show the event as listed the day before the actual event.
View 3 Replies View RelatedI have a facebook event in my device's calendar that is displaying the correct time on the main calendar, but showing the incorrect event time in two different calendar widgets I've tried, as well as the event list in the Facebook app.
To make matters more complicated, the facebook app is displaying a different incorrect time than the widgets.
I've removed the facebook event from my calendar, reinstalled the widgets, done a battery pull, resynced, and the problem persists.
I think the host changed the time of the event after I first synced it to my phone, but I'm not sure.
I'm new to the Android system and just got the EVO 4G when it came out last week. Alas, I'm not very familiar with the workings of the system. Of course, I have facebook so I integrated it into my phone. Well, all of my FB contacts birthdays were automatically imported into my calendar. How do I get rid of this? I have absolutely no interest in knowing that today is the birthday of someone my sister went to high school with (ie, random people I'm friends with on FB). I actually went through and deleted a lot of "friends" on Facebook to try to remedy the situation, but their birthdays are still on my calendar. Where can I turn this feature off? I tried manually getting rid of the birthdays on the calendar but my Android ignorance prevents me from doing this too.

But no "Edit Event". In order to edit an event I have to long press while in the Agenda or Day View listing. Anyone else noticed this? I swore on 2.1 "Edit Event" was an option.
The 1 by 4 HTC calendar widget has my dates one day behind. Had it on 1.5 thru all leaks. Is there any fix, does the ota fix this. Don't really want ant other widgets.

I have my work email account (Outlook) on my phone and some of the meetings on the email calendar are syncing to the stock app calendar on phone. I have all the setting to where it should sync on phone.
View 5 Replies View RelatedRecently started trying out ADW and LauncherPro, and the one thing Ive noticed is that when I add a widget/app to a page I can no longer seem to get it to fullscreen like it came stock.
On my sense layout, the calendar is a full page display of the month, whereas now when I try to add it it shows up as a small 2x2 notepad date that I have to click to get to the full month. Its the same with the stock music player. I small widget compared to the near fullscreen one Ive been used to.
Is there a way to have the birthdays from my facebook contacts show up in the daily calendar?
