View 3 Replies View RelatedI have a Sprint HTC One. I recently flashed a new ROM. VENOM 5.0 which supports my PDA.
So, after installing it I downloaded all the required apps and they worked fine.
Later the next morning when I switched on my data connection, all the apps ran on data and everything went on well. Then I installed Root Firewall PRO and set all my required settings, after that none of the third party apps didn't receive any data connection. Neither Whatsapp nor Facebook Messenger received data. Even though they are only messaging apps, they also did not receive any Data Connection.
Currently creating a VOIP application for Android and I was wondering is there any possible way to supress the In Call Dialog when sending a call over GSM and use our own 3rd party In Call Dialog or screen instead?At the minute when we switch from our VOIP call and send it over GSM via the ACTION_CALL intent it does everything we want except it brings up the native In Call screen whereas we want our own In Call screen to display here.So I was wondering what kind of options we would have on this?

Does the Dinc have a way of ending the call automatically when the other party hang up without me having to physically push the end button. I guess this is useful when talking while driving and you know the phone will end the call when you set it aside instead of having to look on the screen. Is there a way to display while calling if the call is connected or the other party still has not picked up the phone.

View 5 Replies View RelatedAbout a week ago when I booted my phone everything forced closed while the desktop loaded up (phone, gps, settings, etc...) and nothing worked except third party apps (thank god.) Well I rebooted and everything worked fine after that... Fast forward to today and it started happening again except this time no matter what I did nothing would work. I even dropped the phone off with a Sprint service center (my device is a Sprint Hero) and they just ordered me a new phone because nothing they did worked. After I left Sprint I went out to eat and while eating I kept messing with my phone more and more until I admitted defeat and started backing up all my apps with Astro . Welllll apparently somewhere along the way I got this effing awesome idea to uninstall via Astro all the applications I've downloaded in the last week and freaking bam; phone works again. Here's a list of applications I deleted and I've starred the ones.

The starred ones raise more flags as I downloaded them before any of the others but not knowing which did this I figured I'd put all that I uninstalled to fix my phone.
Client makes remote call to the service (returns void) and provides a callback object Service executes some long running logic on the background thread and then uses callback object to trigger ether success or failure which (since these manipulate visual elements) The scenario runs fine. The question is - can I use AsyncTask to make code less verbose (how?) and would be there any advantages in doing it
that way Or should I just get away from client callbacks alltogether and execute remote service calls retrofitted to return some value.
I have downloaded htc sync 2.0.4 from htc support,
installed it n it recognized my HTC MAGIC on my pc.
still i have not been able to install any .apk files to my phone.
what might be the reason for this.
the icon picture of those .apk files r black n white picture.
when i try to install it via installer app it says " 80004005 unspecified error" .
After publishing a free app to Android Market I have received numerous solicitations from 3rd party app stores to publish my app such as handster.com and mobango.com. To date, I have not pursued that and my app is only available on Android Market.
I would love to hear some developer opinions about this: Is it better to stick to Android Market only, or does it make sense to publish your free apps in as many stores as you can? What do you think are the pros and cons to each approach?
My question is how to launch the third-party android applications I installed through Intent directly?

All my contacts have safely come down from Google and appear to all be there and fine, however my third-party apps aren't seeing them. If I start a text message in "Messaging", it reads the contacts and offers me choices. But if I do the same in "Handsent", my messaging app of choice, it does not. Likewise, "Gmail" sees the email addresses in my contacts fine, whereas my regular email app, K9, does not.

How can I set mail app to sync manually? I mean not notification, but actual email app. I want to check my emails when I actually open email app. I don't want mail app check my emails for me.
I did find to turn notifications off, but thats not what I want.

I had some apps on my htc tattoo that i installed to my htc through my computer (htc sync), but when i uninstalled them, i didnt have all of the memory i had before i installed it, so is there another way to uninstall these apps so i can get back the memory i had before the installation??

View 2 Replies View RelatedI've noticed something since I updated my phone to kitkat 4.4.2 (it's a Z1 compact).
Whenever I use another app than my default app to send SMS, eg. I'm using SMSPopup, Glowfly or event another "real" SMS app along with my default one (let's say hangouts or Handcent), I have duplicate sent SMS, that means I have twice my sent messages in my list. I didn't have this issue on JB.
I tried to tweak access/read/write permissions via AppOps but the result is still the same. I now have to use the same app for popups/Notifications and SMS. Other SMS apps are useless because they duplicate the text messages.
I have a few apps running which are similar to installed ones, eg K9-Mail Beta, Quick Settings and ENotify. Since they are doing similar things to the installed ones, are there certain things I must do if I have them running, ie should I be trying to turn off the installed ones?

I have an unlimited data plan through T-Mobile. I am using my phone in the United States, West Coast. The issue I am having is when I am using the Tethering for root user and I receive or send a call, my connection seems to pause. This also causes web pages to not load and the 3G or E icon goes away from the Status bar at the top of the screen. Does anyone know of a way for me to have the data connection continue when a cell call comes in?
