View 3 Replies View RelatedAs stated I rooted my Eris and flashed two different roms with the same results. After selecting phone call and notification tones thru Mabilo ringtones the phone says I have selected silent ringtones. Any tips or suggestions on how to get ringtones. Easy and fast preferably. Don't want to have to download and clip from that.

There is a service that enables rotating background wallpaper service.
It is unchecked, yet always running in my background.
I stop it, but every time I restart my phone it pops back into running services.
I'm not even using a wallpaper from the program.
I got my wife a Hero and everything works appart for this. I have copied my MP3 files into a Music folder on the SD card. I then used ringdroid to pick one of these and convert it into a ringtone and assigned it to a contact. This created the folder /media/audio/ringtones on the SD card which contained my new ringtone. I checked the contact in the People application and the ringtone is correctly assigned to them. This ringtone is also in the dropdown list so I can manually add it to other contacts in the People application. However whenever I ring the Hero from the phone associated with this contact I always get the default ringtone and not the custom one.
I have rebooted the device and this does not make a difference.I can set the new ringtone to be the default ringtone and then it plays, but for all users.I have tried everything here, including doing a factory reset for the phone, but I just cannot get this working and this is something my wife needs.
I downloaded mabilo ring tones and also tried ringlert. I download a ring tone set it to default and when someone calls I get nothing. I used both before on my eris with no problem but they do not seem to work on my EVO.

View 16 Replies View RelatedWhat uI downloaded a wallpaper off of Mabilo Wallpapers to the SD card, but when I try to go in and set it as my locks creen background, it won't come up. I went into Astro, and it says my phone can't recognize the file type...but then if I specify to open the file in Astro as an image, it will.Got any ideas on what I can do to make this work? I have tried deleting it and re-downloading it many times.
View 2 Replies View RelatedI have a Nexus 5. If I choose a custom notification sound in hangouts, for example, that is an .mp3 file, I would get the word "Silent" underneath the sound setting. The same goes for ringtones, but the word that shows underneath Phone ringtone in settings would be "None". I've tried putting the file under the Ringtone folder and it still wouldn't work. How do I get custom sounds to work on KitKat/Nexus 5? It can be set all the way up and nothing would happen.
View 2 Replies View RelatedI set ringtones to contacts individually for my frequent callers. However, when they call, i get only the default ringtone. I tried various apps like ringdroid, ringtone maker etc.., but none of them fixed it.
I am just wondering if there is any place to look internally in Android and make changes to this. Like some configuration/framework file that will play specific ringtones assigned to them.
Device - Sony Ericsson Xperia Neo V - Rom - Super Jelly bean ; Kernel - Fusion for JB
I had this problem in 2.1v2, I installed v3, and it first, all was well, then yesterday I noticed the same thing...none of my custom set ring tones are being used. phone always rings with the system default.
I can change that, and it rings that tone, but any I assign to a contact don't work.
I haven't installed any ring tone managers or anything, I can't think of what would be messing with it, but it is friggin annoying!
I downloaded two ringtones but i cant work out how to get them as my ringtone, they went straight to my music
View 3 Replies View Relatedok, so i just updated my HTC Hero to the new 2.1. So far i am enjoying the updated UI however, i have noticed some changes, for instance, before i could easily assign ringtones to anyone now when i try to assign tones that are saved on my sd card to specific contacts it will not allow me to do so. The phone now only lets me set a default tone which can be any tone (sd card or factory) but all contacts have this tone & i cannot assign specific tones for certain contacts.
View 3 Replies View RelatedHow or where should I store mp3 files that I want to use as ringtones, but don't necessarily want in my music library? I know you use the Music app to set a ringtone, but it only shows the files in the MP3 folder... I added a "Ringtones" folder, but I guess it's not reading it...
View 1 Replies View RelatedThe reason I KNOW its not me changing these ringtones in all of the assignable designations for media files to be played for the ringtones and such is that I have not a single of my music files within any of these settings as an option to assign in the first place. They are showing up randomly. This morning I awoke to Rock n Roll by Led Zeppelin, and earlier today a friend called my whose ringtone was changed to 99 Red Balloons.
Let me reitterate; I have never assingned a music track as a ringtone, alarm, or notification. The previous ringtone still exists in my library and is functional IE; i can reassign the same ringtone to a person again. I THINK that only ringtones which are NOT DEFAULT are changing. What is going on here? I have lookout AVP app loaded and running at all times.List on my runnng apps on EVO:

Ill try to note when I have done nothing to activate them.
I am enjoying my new phone but having trouble finding apps with up to date mp3 music/ringtones on and could someone explain how i save mp3 tracks/ringtones to my memory card.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI want to put ringtones on my phone but I am not sure where to put them. On my SD card I made a directory media/audio/ringtones. when I tried to set a custom ringtone for a contact it didn't list the ones I put on the card. I also tried (With Astro) to place them in the same directory on the phones storage and it wouldn't let me paste to the directory. Are all ringers and notification sounds in mp3 format?
View 5 Replies View RelatedI've been having issues with my downloaded ringtones through Zedge not playing after I've set them as my ringtone... also, when my phone rings, I have the number as a contact in my phonebook but it won't show on caller ID. In other words, it will show the number, but not who the number belongs to.
I think my SD card is giving me problems... every once in a while it will say I have no space on the SD Card (It also says I have like 7gb left open when I pull it up online), and won't let me save videos or pictures I'm taking.
Anybody got a place to get free ringtones? I was using funformobile.com but it won't open up on my dinc
