I thought I should post this here since it's an appbrain is an app site. For the last few days whenever I go to the appbrain website I get this.... Error: Server Error. Is anyone having this same problem? I'm sure it's their site but I wanted to be sure.
I do have the appbrain app on my phone and it still works.

I recently read that AppBrain updated their app to v5.0 but that the Fast Web Installer that pushing apps to your phone from Appbrain.com WITHOUT having to go through the Market is broken with the v5.0 update because of changes with the Market's recent update.

QUESTION: does the Fast Web Install still work with earlier versions of AppBrain?? I have kept v4.8 installed on my phone but I'm having a problem with the Fast Web Install. I'm not sure if I'm experiencing a temporary issue or if the Market update is affecting ALL versions of the Appbrain fast web push?
I Just did a hard reset in my evo and now need to get my apps from appbrain, but cannot figure out how? any help?

i had it earlier today and deleted it by mistake, i found it on appbrain and tried to snyc it but it keeps coming up cant find it, iv looked on the market thru every weather and news app and no sign of it,
it was the best weather app plus i liked the animated side off it,
I made a very simple application to start playing around with Android development. It works fine on the emulator, but it gives me the following error when I try to install it on my HTC Hero (v1.5): The application Simple Dial (process com.foo.simpledial) has stopped unexpectedly. I did put 'android:debuggable="true"' inside the application tag on the manifest.xml
Since I got my Dinc back in June I have pretty much used AppBrain exclusively to install apps. If you know AppBrain, you know that your account automatically makes and saves a list of the apps you load. And you can sync this list with your phone to keep both current. It is also like a backup incase something happens to the apps on your phone. Well yesterday I was clicking my mouse faster than I was thinking and I deleted my "Apps on Phone" list from the AppBrain website. So my question is...If I run the "Sync with AppBrain" feature from my phone will it recreate the deleted "Apps on Phone" list on AppBrain or will it delete the apps from my phone

One of the nice things on the BB was that when you set the alarm, you can switch the BB off overnight and be sure that at the set alarm time, the BB wakes and the alarm goes off. The alarm on the HTC Desire does not seem to do that - i.e. when I turned it off overnight it did not wake when the alarm should have gone off. I tried a couple of other alarm apps and no luck. Is there an alarm app for my requirement? Or is this not possible with an Android phone?

I use a debug key and trippel checked the manifest. It has been working in earlier projects. I just cant figure it out.. Any ideas, what to check?
View 3 Replies View Related I have a just came from a Xperia Z1 (Viber working) to a Nexus 5 and put on my defacto apps of which Viber is one of them and straight away after entering the phone number it said waiting for sms activation and a couple of seconds after it pops up with 'error' on the screen and that is all it says.
Prior to this I have had many android phones and never had an issue with activating viber.
Troubleshooting wise I have tried all of the below and nothing so far works.
1. Tried activating on wifi and 3g
2. Tried my wife's number on my nexus 5 which gets past the initial country code and phone number screen and tries to send an sms
3. Tried my number on my wife's phone and get the same lovely 'Error' popup
4. Placed my wife's sim card into my phone and activation works so proving this issue is number specific not phone specific.

I have Android 4.2 Jelly Bean, I has set it to auto-lock after 10 sec of in-activeness. After it get lock, still i am able to Switch off my Phone, if i long press the side unlock button of my phone, for around 3 to 4 sec. i.e It gives me option to Switch off the phone. If my Phone is lock, than i don't want somebody/ myself to switch off my phone,even if i long press the side unlock button of my Phone.This doesn't happen in other Nokia E63 phone, than why it happen in Android phone?

View 9 Replies View RelatedI'd like to put Appbrain on my Compaq Airlife 100, but I think their website thinks my Airlife is not an Android device as the page which I think is supposed to have the link on it says something like "Navigate here on your Android device", but of course, the Airlife *is* and Android device.
Anyway, anyone know where I can just download the APK file? There is no Marketplace on the Airlife, so I can't get it there.
It's a free application, so I'm not sure why it's so difficult to come by. I managed to get an old APK (version 2), but it crashed all the time, I'd like to try 3.2.1 and see if the issues are resolved.

OK appbrain don't work it opens up than i choose to open up a menu from inside the app it loads than goes back to home page of the app so annoying i cant use it for anything?

Then this morning Verizon pushes out some update and suddenly when im on the phone 3g disappears.from the top bar and I get an error message that I can't connect to the web.
