I am new to the Android system. I have a Dell Streak, I download emails using the email app, not gmail, and cannot find a way of deleting more than one email at a time. On my old phone using Express I just cleared the account and everything was deleted, is there a way to do this or something similar.

I spent 20 minutes on the phone today with Sprint, then I must have driven through a dead spot b/c just as they were going to help me the call was dropped from my end. I ask this because I have 2 threads that take EXTREMELY long to load due to the large number of texts within each (one has 1,300 texts, the other has 940). It is starting to get annoying having to wait 7-10 seconds for the thread to load. I have actually tried manually scrolling up and deleting the oldest texts but that was just WAYYY too much work and it took probably a good minute just to get to the top.

View 2 Replies View RelatedOn my Droid X on the default email app that is provided on the Droid X I have my Yahoo email account on there. Well it seems that I am receiving my emails extremely late. For example they aren't delivering right as they get to my Yahoo mail account. I'll receive 15 - 20 emails that I was supposed to get yesterday today. I have Push enabled but it seems like that makes it worse. It seems as if it would be better to have Fetch enabled then I could at least get my email every 15min. However I'd like to receive it instantly. The reason for this is in case I receive an email from a friend or someone I can reply back instantly and be able to keep a conversation going or if I get a facebook notification I can respond to that instantly. The facebook app on my Droid X doesn't even give me notifications like it says it should. So I pretty much have to rely on my email for that. So is there anything I can do to fix this?

2. The non-GMail e-mail works mostly OK for some time (a day or two, an hour or two, etc.); (I do get connection errors, I can't completely delete POP3 email, there's no POP3 auto-checking nor notifications, etc.--for now these annoyances are manageable.),
3. At some point in the future, I go into the app to check mail, and POOF! Everythin' B gone. I'm greeted with the setup screen, as though I had not created the account(s) previously,
4. I recreate the account(s),
5. GOTO 2.
I have the moment connected to my hotmail account using the stock "email" account. is there a way to batch delete like gmail? its driving me nuts.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI am running Android 4.3 and I have a issue when I delete Event Emails.When i accept an Event Email request, it is added to the S Planner !when I delete the Event Email from the built in Email Manager (Hotmail Email account) it also removes the event from S Planner.
Surely I should be able to delete an email after accepting the event request, without S Planner deleting the Event from my Calendar.
I use Outlook/Exchange as my primary contact database, so I only wanted to sync my DX with Exchange for contacts. However, before I was able to get to my Google account settings on the X to tell it not to sync Google contacts - it had already synced them. Now, my contacts are a mess because of the damn "linked profiles", so practically every contact has some trash from my unmanaged Google contacts. Old email addresses, dupes, mislabled phone numbers (work, home, etc.) It's ugly and frustrating, since I keep my Exchange contacts perfectly edited and managed.
My problem is that I can't figure out how to delete the Google contacts from my DX other than doing it one at a time. (Since I have over 1500 contacts, that would be a huge pain.) Is there any way I can purge these? I'm a power Gmail user, so I can't just delete the entire Google account. (Not sure that's possible anyway.)

The GMail one works nicely, however, the Mail that comes on the phone doesn't allow you to select multiple messages and delete them..like outlook or the versamail client on a Palm device.
View 2 Replies View RelatedIn the email app that came with my Sprint HTC Evo, I added my googleapps email... I then later discovered the gmail android app works better.. So I set it up there also. However, the email app still has my email account setup in it.. I don't see a way to delete it. I've held down the account, but no context menu shows up.. there's no delete function apparently.. I'd add another account to test with, but I'm afraid I won't be able to delete that either!

When I try to open in it does nothing, when I try and delete it it force closes the email program (I use the stock email program)I went to my email account on my PC and the email isn't even on the server!

I got this one email that I cannot get rid of. Someone sent me an email on Facebook that also showed up in my Inbox for my Comcast email account and I cannot get rid of THAT email! I have gotten and deleted up to 200-300 emails since then from facebook and that stupid email remains in my inbox! When I try to click on and open the troubled email, my stock email on the phone force closes! I cleared the cache, thinking that was part of the problem and that did nothing for me. The email was a notification for an event. I was able to delete it on my facebook account and its not showing up anywhere else but on my phone's email account. Its kinda like it IS deleted but for some weird reason its still showing up.

So I deleted account on the stock Htc mail but the data is still there the all 55 meg of it and I cannot find a way to delete it. I ewent in setting and it does show 55mb but no button to erase data a complete reset is not an option I have copilot installed and i doubt it will reinstall with the google checkout number a second time. so My question is , How do I force the email data to erase.?

1. Delete email from server using my desktop browser/outlook/etc (not from EVO).
2. Hit refresh on the EVO
3. EVO updates to no longer show messages that I deleted off the server
Does anyone know if this is a possibility? I am using the HTC Email app with Hotmail.
Is there any way to delete emails, for Gmail or Exchange, w/o deleting them from my actual account? The nice thing about my BlackBerry is that it gave you the option to "Delete from Handheld, or Delete from Handheld & Inbox". I'd like to be able to clear unnecessary emails from my phone, but keep some of them in my actual inbox.
