View 2 RepliesI want to delete 100's of e-mails in my gmail account on the Droid without selecting each and every one and don't find a batch operation like k9 does and need help in how to perform batch-type deletes. As an example, say I want to find certain emails and then select all and then choose what to do with that grouped selection like delete or move to a folder but HOW?
View 6 Replies View RelatedBelieve me when I say that I never thought in a million years it would be possible to have a smartphone with a worse mail app than the iphone. Then the Droid came. I mean come on! We can't save pictures, can't batch delete, hell we can't even click most links! Maybe I'm venting a little, but It's kind of embarassing when your a company's web apps work better than their natively installed apps that come pre-installed on a phone whose OS you developed!

I want to delete that singular draft message, but I see no way of doing it, short of deleting the entire conversation or going to a computer to do it. (Come to think of it, I don't see a way to delete any of the emails within a conversation). Am I missing something on how to delete a single email within a conversation?
2) on an email thread, when I hit "previously read messages", it shows the messages in oldest to newest order, meaning I have to scroll all the way to the bottom to see the latest emails from a conversation. Is there a way to change the sort?

View 2 Replies View RelatedFor some reason lately if I delete or show a email as read it doesn't sync that to my online gmail. There has been times when it shows 4 unread emails on the phone (even though everything is read) and when I log into gmail it shows the 4 unread emails even if it was ones I deleted. I tried clearing data from settings>Applications>manage applications>gmail. I have tried refreshing it and manually syncing it and it

How to delete mulitple emails from my inbox rather than having to delete individually from my inbox, and then having to repeat a second time from my trash can??
I currently am using the standard email app, which I have linked to my hotmail account. Although I prefer how deleting emails on my handset is not synced to my hotmail account (which is useful for emails I wish to later preserve on my laptop archive).
I am bemused as to why such a standardised function is missing (unless of course I have missed a trick). The time it takes to individually delete unnecessary emails completely from my handset is ridiculous, especially when attempting to empty the trash can (which I have never completely finished due time and patience).

View 1 Replies View RelatedGoogled this issue and can't seem to find the resolution. I am using the Gmail app which came pre-installed on the phone. I have entered my account details, I can send emails but I don't get a notification when I receive an email to my Gmail Inbox. I have checked the settings and I have setup a ringtone and selected the option to flag up an icon in the notification bar. However the only way I know I have an email is if I open the app. I have a task manager and Gmail is on the ignore list.

All of a sudden, when I do the same thing, it opens up the G mail In box and I have to click the email itself to open it. Am I delusional and this is how it's always been?

I know this has most likely been discussed many times. But I am looking for a decent email widget.
At the moment I am using the default htc email widget, however when ever I read an email from my gmail account it doesnt update the read status so it still shows as unread.
I would like one that would update the read status and possible the support for unified inbox so I can see new mail from hotmail account and gmail.
I have several accounts on my nexus and a friend on his X. however we cannot remove any of the gmail accounts without doing a complete reset. Is there a way to do this?

I synced my work contacts through Exchange activesync. Now they all show up in my contact list (only in "all contacts", when I show "my contacts" it just shows gmail contacts). Is there a way to delete all the exchange contacts only? Or just delete all contacts and re-import them from gmail?I have a Samsung Moment, and the exchange client is Moxier, if that helps anything.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI can't wait for M$ to pull the trigger on hotmail activesync. Currently I am using gmail. If I want to delete a message it sends the entire "conversation" to trash.
Is there a way to delete single messages in a conversation? Sometimes I just want to keep the original, most important email but don't need all the replies that go back and forth.
Currently I go into gmail web version to delete single messages in a thread but that's a PITA.
