When I pull up music files it will only play from the beginning. Even when I move the clippers further down the song and hit play it will play from the beginning so i can't hear what I'm clipping. Any ideas?

I am trying to download mp3 files from my file server onto my Droid. Everytime I try to download a song I get the error message Download Unsuccessful. I thought it was a problem with my server but all of my computers can download from it, and I just went and got my mom's Droid ERIS to test. It could successfully download mp3 files from the server. This is ridiculous, why wouldn't my Droid be able to download these files but the ERIS can? Is this a case of Droid DOESN'T?

When user is back to the main screen I need to terminate previous history so user cannot hit back button and end up on screen #2, what would be a good way to do something like that? To reiterate - say I don't know or predict the path which leads me to the original view. But once I load it I want to clear history that led user to that view. In 2.0 it's possible with overwriting Activity#onBackPressed but I need something like that in 1.6

I've never been a big Pandora user, I hated the fact that I only got a limited amount of skips. I've used Last.FM since I got my phone. And today, I was playing music through Last.FM and navigating and had absolutely no problem. If you're having this issue with Pandora + Navigator, you may want to consider switching to Last.FM.Also this shows that this isn't a problem with 2.2 particularly because there are music players that don't stop when navigation voice plays. Now that we know Last.FM doesn't have a problem, is there a MUSIC PLAYER on the market that will play the MP3's we have saved on our phones without this issue?

View 8 Replies View RelatedWhen I have navigation going and am wearing my bluetooth, or using the bluetooth speaker from my visor, the first one to two words do not make it through the bluetooth. For example, if it says "Turn right on main street", I'll here "right on main street". Some times I'll here "main street". I am certain that it is missing those words, because I can listen w/o bluetooth and hear it all. I am presuming that maybe it 'disconnects' the voice until it needs to use it, and it results in an lag.

Using appbrain on my PC seems to work fine when I'm not logged in. When I do log in and try to click on an app I get this error message:
"Error: Server Error The server encountered an error and could not complete your request. If the problem persists, please report your problem and mention this error message and the query that caused it."
Anyone else have this issue when using Appbrain on their pc?
Well, It looks like I solved the problem. I just deleted my account and created it again and it's fixed (for now).
I am wondering if there any music apps (besides Pandora, Last.fm, imeem, Slacker, etc.) that will play the song that I want it to? For example, say I want to listen to Empire State of Mind by Jay-Z, what app can I go to and type in "Empire State of Mind" and listen to that song, instead of "similar songs"?All of these Pandora, Slacker, etc apps are exactly the same. Why can't I listen to the song I want instead of similar songs? I just don't get it.

I dont want to touch the phone as i live in Australia and it is hot and i dont want to sweat all over the phone and break something. With the Iphone they have something where you hit the button twice on the head phones and it skips a song. Three clicks of the button the music player goes back one song. First declared my array:

Then called Media Player:

I've always been a fan of V Cast music ID before I recently switched to my Droid X. It was one of my favorite features. I was able to find it in the Verizon apps, as well as Shazam and SoundHound in the Droid Apps. However, both Shazam and Soundhound, no matter how many times I try, say they didn't receive any music or failed to identify a song, and V Cast SongID just stays on the "Listening" screen until I have to close the app. The songs I've tried are relevantly popular songs so I know they're not too unique for the databases. I've placed my phone in every possible way up to my speakers but no such luck. Is this a common problem? Could it be leaning towards a phone issue and not an app issue with three apps all failing to carry out their function. I'm not going to pay for a full version until I get it worked out.
