View 2 RepliesAt first I thought that I had bought an application by accident an just requested for the refund. Everything was fine but then I kept getting emails thanking me for purchasing apps which I would immediately request for refund. I already did a hard reset on my phone and I was wondering if I had to cancel my email and my card or if there's anything else I can do.
View 9 Replies View RelatedI have BB 0.4 installed on my droid, back when pete released it there was a patch avail so the market would work better, my guess is it cheated the market to thinking the 2.2 ROM was 2.1 but I honestly don't know. now that 2.2 is out granted a different build is there a way to set-up BB 0.4 to see the 2.2 content (like flash) in the market until Pete releases 0.5? Otherwise I might try CM RC3 but concerned on battery life with it

Similarly google translate asked if I wanted to install google "text-to-speech extended", and I get the same message.
When I am connected via WiFi the Android Market will not download. It will just stay at "Starting Download". I have to cancel the download and try again after turning wifi off. And yes, I have tested this on a number of hotspots (my own, some friends WiFi, Starbucks, my office, etc.).

View 1 Replies View RelatedI found a good deal for a HTC Droid Eris online from a website, the location was perfect as it was right near where i reside. After setting up an appointment to meet and looking at the phone i found that the phone wasn't 'brand new' but had been used, the owner claims that she bought it from another person who claims that it had not been activated at all. I tried to activate the phone and couldnt because the phone had already been activated on Verizon's Network. She said that she was going to take the phone in in the morning and see what they could do about it. So she is going to give me a call tomorrow (i guess its today now that it is past midnight). So my question is if she calls me back tomorrow and says that Verizon has taken care of the problem and i can now activate it with my phone # do i go ahead and buy it from her? Is there anything i should be worried or be informed about? Help me out fellow Android users! I dont want to buy the phone and activate it and get screwed over somehow because i wasn't knowledgable to a certain extent, as you can tell i dont have much experience with phones as far as activation/ESN/plans/etc whatnot go.

View 2 Replies View RelatedI didn't realize that my bank would not process Euros, so the first order got canceled. Then I purchased a Visa debit from Walmart, I didn't realize that I would have to wait until the permanent card came in the mail. It took 9 days to get here. So the order was canceled the second time, supposedly. I get the permanent Visa Saturday, and still can't get Beautiful Widgets, frankly, I don't think Google got it cancelled properly as when I select the app on marketplace.
I do not get the "buy" option/button, but it goes straight to "authorize payment" and it doesn't use the updated info. I know the cc will work as I purchased something else prior that was out of country. Google really isn't much help, when I ask for help they keep sending "cookie cutter" replies which do not relate to the issue. I'm starting to understand road rage. There's no way to purchase online instead of using phone, is there? Any solution you all know of besides forget Beautiful Widgets?

I know to check the standard functions like calling, msging, camera, wifi, gprs/edge, gps etc. But I don't know any other thing.

View 3 Replies View RelatedI am creating an application that checks the installation of a package and then launches the market-place with its id.
When I try to launch market place with id of an application say com.mybrowser.android by throwing an intent android.intent.action.VIEW with url: market://details?id=com.mybrowser.android, the market place application does launches but crashes after launch.
Note: the application com.mybrowser.android doesn't exists in the market-place.
MyApplication is my application.
CODE:..........
However, when I try to launch the market place for a package that exists in the market place say com.opera.mini.android, everything works. Log for this case:

With all this talk about people buying the i7500 from Germany; I was wondering if T-mobile has any rules/detection against us using an android phone bought from outside, on the network using a normal voice+data plan like the $30+$10 plan. Because given the price difference of a 2 yr contract a new phone would in theory need to be over $560 before it is no longer worth buying outside. So what is the incentive of getting a simlocked phone, that costs more, and be locked into a 2 yr contract? I guess this applies to some of the other smartphones as well.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI hope to figure out the direct URL link to my application on the market like http://market:blahblah
I was able to find the application ID previously by going to the UI interface to upload application, and looking at the URL link that can edit the app.
However, this method doesn't seem to work any more because the now the edit URL link contains only the package name and not the app ID.
Any idea how to get the application ID?
Wasn't there mention back during the Google conference of a Android media center type of application for the PC. Hate to think of the Itunes but yes, an itunes like application but for Android. Organize our music and other programs on the computer and sync it up. Make searching for applications easier and we can back up our downloaded ups on the pc.
Its great to use our phones as flash drives with plug and go but is there something already on the market or elsewhere that can do what I've mentioned?
How do you go about activation with buying phones online.

View 8 Replies View RelatedI am curious about the procedure for updating an app that was acquired off the market. Do you simply install over your existing app? And if so, what happens to your existing data?Is there a way to tie your installed apps to the market, so it can automatically check for updates? Any information is appreciated.
View 2 Replies View RelatedSomething really strange happened today and I could really use some help figuring it out. I believe its related to Google's SSO infrastructure, and I don't really know how to contact Google to get my application rescued.
I have a google apps account I used to create the application, its claytantor at sightlyinc dot com not a f...@gmail.com account but its a Google Apps account, so I used it to upload and distribute my application. Today when I was using blogger my account said "do you want to use claytantor at sightlyinc dot com or claytantor at sightlyinc dot com for this account?" what kind of choice is that they are both the same? Well my guess is that somehow I chose the one that locks me out of my Android Market account because when I went to try to upload a new version of my app it thinks I don't have an Android Market account.
Paying the extra 20 bucks wouldn't bug me but there is a version of my software out there that I cant access or manage now, and that *really* bothers me. If I create a new account I will have two versions of mys software floating around the new one and the old one that has been stranded! I cant live with that.
This has come up before, but I'm still not clear. I published my first app last night. It sunk like a stone. I want to change its name. I don't want to force the few people who have downloaded it to get an update. It seems to me that if I:
1. Change the android: label in the manifest to be the new name, and
2. Resubmit it with the same version number
Then the name in the market should change but not force an update. Is this correct?
