I am having issues with texting. Not always. Soemtimes when I am replying to a text to one person the name in the grey box is not that person. It seems like it will reply to someone that I had texted earlier. Verizon replaced my phone once, we have done a hard reboot...still problems. Verizon contacted Motorola and they have not heard of this issue.

On my samsung galaxy s captivate, There is a little glitch I've ran into where notifications are with the wrong contact label and some times pushes my messages to that person. I'm wondering if this is a glitch that comes with adroid and can be fixed with the up coming froyo up date this month Or should I exchange with my vendor
View 13 Replies View RelatedIve had the incredible since release day and within the last 2 weeks ive been having some texting issues. I will send a text to someone and a completely different person will recieve my text. It happened on my original Droid after a few months as well. Ive double checked everytime, and no im not accidentally choosing th wrong person. For instance if i send a text to Jenn (it has her name, her picture and number) but after being sent ill long press the message and it shows someone elses number. Verizon is not being very helpful and its starting to get annoying. Has anyone had this issue as well?
View 10 Replies View RelatedAnyone else having issues with texts going to the wrong person? I replied to some texts from my buddies and then my GF would reply back asking what i meant. I look through the text history and it appears it was sent to the correct person. Now i am scared to text anyone knowing that it could be sent to the wrong people.
And sometimes when i try to reply to a text it says i need to add a recipient.
I am thinking there is something wrong with the texting on this phone. I got my replacement phone yesterday and the same thing happened.
So sometimes i receive a text and it will (for example) say its from matt when i know its actually from ian and if i just reply (to send back to ian) to it, it sends it to matt (who it thinks its from) not ian who actually sent it!

I am not hitting the wrong person since the other person's name is nowhere on the screen. I've had 3 HTC EVO that did the same thing so im assuming this is software issue.

As in, for examply this morning a friend texted me something that was not suppose to go to me, but they typed the message to the person that it should have went to but it did not, is this just a motorola droid problem? because i have not had this problem with my new driod incredible.
View 21 Replies View Relatedthe phone constantly calling the wrong person from my call log, i can live with, angry as it makes me, i live with it. the phone just topped the list with this act. i had the screen locked. phone hadnt been used for almost 30 minutes. i plug it into my charger, and i hear a ringing, i look the screen is locked but lit up as it does when i plug it in, and the phone call handset picture is on, the piece of **** crap had started to call someone. and this was a person i had called almost 11 hours ago and ive since made a half dozen calls to other people. i had to pull down the drop down menu to end the call. yeah real nice getting a phone call at 1245 in the morning. **** me, im calling rogers and loosing it on some ***** call center rep tomorrow. i can see the phone acting out and freezing and lagging, but calling people on its own because i plug it in to charge.

I have two - Calendar Pad (1x1) which shows me todays date and when I click it it takes me direct to my week view, and the Power Bar to turn off WiFi, GPS, etc. I've tried things like Face book, Twitter, News, etc, and just get frustrated as they don't really display enough. Maybe I've just not found the RIGHT widgets yet, but I fear I may be missing out on something!

This person seems obsessed and at times honestly scares me. They've sent over a hundred texts in less than an hour. Pls I've tried googling but come up with year old posts that lead to nothing. Recently I was asked if I could help someone to get quick-started to android programming.
What would you suggest to tell this person? Would you explain everything by hand or just refer to external links? Which ressources would you recommend? This whole issue should not take too much time...assuming 2-3 hours.

Every morning at 7:45 my friends and I "have coffee" together on line. We use MSN live. I have yet to find a chat app that will allow me to have ALL of my friends in the same window. Everything I have found only allows one person per window . . .any ideas?
If I was organized I would tell you which ones I have tried but haven't kept track . . .because I gave up - now am back at it again!
Just dawned on me - if my friends are already in msn chat- I need an app that they can invite me into that conversation - have to have msn chat? Because that will only let me have one person at a time.

And she can text me, but I can't reply or originate a text.I have deleted her from gmail contacts and phone contacts and re-entered her info fresh several times. Still nothing. I updated to os 2.1, but this happened days after that. Anyone having this issue too? Is it on my end or her end?

Same exact name. If I open up People, she is there. If I open up Facebook friends, she is there. When I open up People, find her and try to link to Facebook, she is not there.

My problem is like in 1.5 and 1.6 devices, we can add a key to a contact with the Contacts.People.Extensions class. But now there is a problem with this content provider.. It's unknown by new devices. And it's the only provider who does not work. Does someone know why is it not working anymore ? And is there a new way to put some extensions for contacts ( with the ContactContract class maybe?
I think I'm probably missing something really obvious but how do I view another person's at tweets with Seesmic? eg. If someone tweets a question and I want to check nobody has answered before I reply to them.

View 2 Replies View RelatedI'm setting up my wife's Samsung Intercept. Installed Juice Defender, Handcent, and free version of Launcher Pro. So far everything is working well. She wants a very quick way to access calling/texting her favorites. Is there a Contact Manger program that could have individual icons for each person that I could place on an empty home screen? So, wouldn't have to open the app, just go to the home screen where there would be multiple favorite people icons. I wonder if Launcher Pro Plus has this feature? I'm going to try Contapps as this looks like it might work. Not sure if I have to first open the app and then select favorites. She's trying to minimize the number of hits before dialing/texting.

I am trying to find out what calendar to use on my home screen. I have the standard calendar widget enabled right now, but it's useless. It tells me I have something scheduled on each day, but that's it. The actual calendar app on my Incredible gives me kind of a bubble indicator for each day that is filled at different spots, depending on whether I have something set up for earlier in the day, middle of the day, etc. I want a full page widget that will do this, just having a marker that says that I have something on that day does me no good. I've also checked out some of the apps so far like Pure Calendar and while they are neat, they tend to tell me only a few days. I want the whole month laid out for me, so I can tell at a glance how busy any particular day will be. BTW, for anyone also wanting a widget with a layout on a day-to-day setup, check out Android Agenda, I use that for a text-based to-do list and it rocks, I just want a graphical one as well. I have stuff going on every day, but some are only 1 or 2 events, so the graphic layout is nice.

I ask because a friend of mine just called from their work number saying their baby daddy just sent her a text message, she sent to someone else followed by a text asking how long she has been talking to him. LOLL I'm not on that type of stuff but dang that is funny to me. She said he hasn't installed anything on her phone cause she has her phone pattern locked (however you can see the pattern when you look at her phone). Verizon makes me buy a data plan, and if I want unlimited texting, its a different plan. So I end up paying for unlimited texting, AND data. If I can get away without spending the extra 20 a month and just using an app, I'd do that. Anyways, sorry if this question has been answered, I searched and didn't see anything.

View 4 Replies View RelatedI am a t-mobil customer and would love to get a G1. The only negative that I can see is that you can not text one handed from the touch screen. I would love to be able to text from the phone dial screen using intutive text. This would make one handed texting possible like on my Krazer. I love this feature. Having to open the keyboard is a complete bummer. Even an onscreen keyboard wouldn't be as good in my opinion for texting.
