Jul 28, 2010I just flashed the latest version of White Widow.When I bring up the dialer and start to dial by name (i.e. 5 - 6 - 3 for JOE), the dialer does not bring up matching names. Is this a sense thing?

Nov 12, 2010Ok so Iv'e tried and tried and tried and tried to get the transparent theme with metamorph and i just cant do it. I can get some themes to work and the others not so much. So i went exactly by the directions and I still cant do it! Is there a way i could have it in a zip and just flash it like the others do for themes? Please help, im a huge WW fan and love this theme!

May 26, 2010I just upgraded to White Widow 3.1, and I love it except for some of the stock HTC stuff I really liked like the keyboard, dialer, and camera (the droid one sucks imo). I followed the proper steps for the keyboard (put it in the system/app folder) and it works perfectly. No such luck for the camera, and dialer. Does anyone know why? Are there any OTHER HTC apps I can use, or how to put these ones on there?

Jul 27, 2010I'm running White Widow 4.6 with Google Apps installed and JIT on. Not all of my FB contacts are syncing with my phone contacts. For example, my sister is not linked to any FB profile when she should be. The names match up. Most of the people are, but some aren't. I can't find a way to link it manually to her FB profile. All of my contacts sync'd fine with the stock OS. Anybody else have this issue? Do you have a solution? I had the same problem in KaosFroyo v23 and never found a solution.

Aug 11, 2010I finally rooted my Eris and installed KaosFroyo. All seems ok, had some issues to deal with, but got them figured out. Yesterday, I wanted to connect to my slingplayer, but my app doesn't work. It just starts, then disappears. I never get a screen up. Any ideas, or is there a log somewhere on why it might be crashing or whatever is actually happening.I also tried to move it to the SD card in Manage Applications and it says it is copy protected. Not sure if that has any bearing on this, but thought I'd mention it.I do like the KaosFroyo and really didn't want to start over with a different ROM.

Jun 12, 2010I have an app which uses 3 different spinners to allow users to choose from some options. Iīve added those spinners to my layout without editing most of itīs properties and this way it works for most of my users. Unfortunately most isnīt all and then some of them started complaining that the list of options is showing text in white with over a white background! Iīd like to know if thereīs a way (or a property) so I can force those spinners to show the options list using text in black.

Jan 29, 2010Verizon just sent me my new Eris after mine decided to stop connecting to google. Maybe I never noticed this before, or maybe it is a defect. But, if you go to an all white screen, do you see black pixels spread out evenly like a grid on your screen?

Jan 30, 2010I have had my Eris for maybe 3 or 4 days and I absolutely love it. I have to thank all of you for the useful tips and tricks I have been reading.
I haven't had a problem until tonight.
I was using the stock browser on MySpace, finished what I was doing, logged out and used the back key to get back to the home screen, which I always do. I could never get back to the home screen, the farthest back it would take me was to the original MySpace login screen and I had to hit the home key to get back to the home screen.
When I now try to open the browser, it acts like it is loading, I see the status bar, which loads all the way, but other than that, the screen is completely white and stays that way - the whole screen is white and never does anything.
Could this have been caused by MySpace or maybe a browser issue that happened to occur while I was on MySpace?
I have cleared cache, cleared all data, rebooted a few times, force stopped it, killed it with advanced task manager and everything else I could think of.

Jun 23, 2010I installed slingplayer and there was a problem that it would not show up as and app to add on the desktop. called slingox people and they advised to uninstall and reinstall they said that It would be no problem to redownload. I uninstalled then tried to reinstall and system said i had to buy it again, and it had refunded my orignal payment. It took my money again but advised that you can only do this once. Question now is what do you do if you need to reinstall the program, for any reason, ( had to reset phone, phone is lost and replaced by carrier, etc) i tried to backup with my backup and it will not backup slingplayer as it is a copyprotected app. does anyone have a suggestion for this problem?

Oct 24, 2010I resurrected my old Slingbox last night because I decided I wanted to try it with my Android phone. I got the Slingbox working again, and went to the marketplace to download Slingplayer for Android. I did so, and paid the $29.99 for the app.When it completed, I ran the app. It gave me the selection screen where you select the slingbox you want to use...I did so. All of the sudden, a screen popped up asking for the reason I wanted to delete the application from my Android device. It had 4 or 5 reasons listed....but no option NOT to remove it. I hit the "back" button. Well, the app is gone. If I go back to the marketplace, I see Slingplayer with the option to "buy" but not that it is installed. If I look at my bank account, it shows the charged. Now I can't figure out what to do. Is there some sort of customer service for Android (google)? I sure haven't seen it. If I got screwed out of a application, I wouldn't worry about it, but this was $30. Does anyone have any suggestions?
