View 1 Replies View RelatedI resurrected my old Slingbox last night because I decided I wanted to try it with my Android phone. I got the Slingbox working again, and went to the marketplace to download Slingplayer for Android. I did so, and paid the $29.99 for the app. When it completed, I ran the app. It gave me the selection screen where you select the slingbox you want to use...I did so. All of the sudden, a screen popped up asking for the reason I wanted to delete the application from my Android device. It had 4 or 5 reasons listed....but no option NOT to remove it. I hit the "back" button. Well, the app is gone. If I go back to the marketplace, I see Slingplayer with the option to "buy" but not that it is installed. If I look at my bank account, it shows the charged. Now I can't figure out what to do. Is there some sort of customer service for Android (google)? I sure haven't seen it. If I got screwed out of a application, I wouldn't worry about it, but this was $30. Does anyone have any suggestions?
View 1 Replies View RelatedSeeing as I typically would only use this to watch NBA games on the go, I wasn't exactly head-over-heels to see the Slingplayer release AFTER the NBA finals ended. Well, the new season is a few months away and so I'm getting in some preliminary research done.If my primary usage of the slingstuff is going to be watching NBA games on the go (mostly on my phone on 3G, and maybe a little bit from my notebook but not often) which Slingbox should I get?Basically I don't want to pay extra for features I won't be able to use via the Android client, but I don't wanna go too cheap and end up with a crappy picture because of it. I'd like to be able to make out the different players at the very least

View 5 Replies View RelatedI installed slingplayer and there was a problem that it would not show up as and app to add on the desktop. called slingox people and they advised to uninstall and reinstall they said that It would be no problem to redownload. I uninstalled then tried to reinstall and system said i had to buy it again, and it had refunded my orignal payment. It took my money again but advised that you can only do this once. Question now is what do you do if you need to reinstall the program, for any reason, ( had to reset phone, phone is lost and replaced by carrier, etc) i tried to backup with my backup and it will not backup slingplayer as it is a copyprotected app. does anyone have a suggestion for this problem?

View 6 Replies View RelatedIt says Slingplayer Classic (which I have) isn't supported, but I watched a Youtube video of a guy using one on his EVO, it functioned, just didn't appear to have all the bells and whistles. Going to have to give it a shot and see how it works on the Hero.

View 1 Replies View RelatedSLingplayer is now available for Android phones. It is only available via the Market. I have searched the market and it is not listed. I am currently in UK on three network with an unbranded X10. I know it is available in the UK market as a friend of mine is on Orange and it appears in his market.Anyone know why I can't find it? Does Three have different market and block some apps? I have also tried it via my home Wifi and it still does not find it? Been waiting for this for ages and it's doing my head in not being able to find it

View 1 Replies View RelatedMy slingplayer will slip some on my evo with a 8gb, class 2 unit. The playback pauses and has to buffer to play smooth. I just ordered a class 6 16gb unit and I was wondering if anyone thought that might help?
View 3 Replies View RelatedI finally rooted my Eris and installed KaosFroyo. All seems ok, had some issues to deal with, but got them figured out. Yesterday, I wanted to connect to my slingplayer, but my app doesn't work. It just starts, then disappears. I never get a screen up. Any ideas, or is there a log somewhere on why it might be crashing or whatever is actually happening.I also tried to move it to the SD card in Manage Applications and it says it is copy protected. Not sure if that has any bearing on this, but thought I'd mention it.I do like the KaosFroyo and really didn't want to start over with a different ROM.

View 5 Replies View RelatedI am hoping some android geniuses might be able to help me out here. 1) How can I watch my MLB.tv subscription on this phone? I was very excited when I saw that android marketplace now had MLB at bat in its marketplace, but hugely disappointed when I found it does not support live games (like that other phone does). When I looked on Mlb.com for an answer it says Android does not support some sort of optimization technique that the other phone does. Its hard for me to believe with the hardware backing this phone that it is not possible. The workaround I used to use on my touchpro 2 was to use the skyfire browser to login and watch it. However when I download skyfire for android and try to watch the game it tells me I need to download flash. Is there a setting I might be missing? 2) Whats up with 4g speed? I know this probably isn't great to be bringing up about the company I work for but I have not seen myself or read of anyone's speedtest on the evo exceeding the 3MB/sec barrier. The speeds I consistently see are outstanding by 3g expectations but not near what I expected of 4g especially since I have seen our Mobile Broadband products consistently exceed those barriers. Is there something with device or software limiting these speeds?........................
I was just having one of those moments of thought about switching my phone from an Incredible to the Droid X, still tossing the idea around, but say I do....what happens to the apps that I bought on the Incredible...would they be useable on say a newer Android based phone?

View 3 Replies View RelatedI'm wanting to move over from symbian. Been a happy user for many years, but Nokia simply seems to be heading for a fall in all respects. This silly Ovi thing which will never take off, and the rapid decline of the quality and innovation of their handsets is the final nail in the coffin for me.However, I can't see any Android handsets that do it for me.While I think the operating system is miles better, there seems to be a massive drawback for Android phones - the imaging. There's not a single one with a decent camera - the hero and galaxy both have 5mp, but the images taken by them are nothing in comparison with all the Nokia generic 5mp CZ ones.So is there anything coming up that I would like? I noticed the Samsung behold 2, but that seems to be US only. Not to mention it might not be an better than the galaxy camera.I really don't want to go back to Nokia, but since I use my phone as my main camera, it has to be reasonably good. I know about the upcoming SE beast, but that's got a 4" screen, and I sold the i8910 because it was simply too big to comfortably operate.So.is there anything that could interest me? All I can see is the behold 2, and like I said, that seems to be US only (I'm UK).
View 4 Replies View RelatedThese days it seems like all you hear about are Iphones and Droids. Are Windows OS phones on their way out?
View 2 Replies View RelatedMy girlfriend is on Rogers with a Milestone. Both phones are great, but I am curious to know if there are better phones available and unlockable? The N1 is fantastic, but its painfully tiny storage space really kills the experience. Same goes for the Milestone. It would also be great to have a higher quality video capture and maybe even a front facing cam.So my question is, has anything recently launched that is the latest and greatest (and of course unlockable) or is anything coming out shortly.
