Android :: Add View To View Group And Vertically Align
Feb 11, 2010I have a ViewGroup and it has a few children. And one of them is a TextView ("+id/text"). In my code, I would like to know how can I add a new View or ViewGroup which will be positioned vertically aligned and below the TextView (+"id/text")?I have followed the advice below and try to use TableLayout. As a test, I try to layout statically to make sure things are aligned correctly. Here is my layout xml:

Oct 13, 2010I've got a schedule Class, which is simply a custom ViewGroup (with custom onMeasure() and onLayout()), which enables me to place childs(=events) with LayoutParams for column/row start and column/row end. The number of childs and their LayoutParams depend on database entries.
Now I'm trying to add childs (events) from my database. I'd have to use a Cursor Adapter, so my schedule Class has to extend ListView, right? I tried that but the newView() method of the adapter is never called. Why not? My custom ListView doesn't ask the adapter for childs, no childs are added. I also can't add the childs by hand calling schedule.addView() if I extend from AdapterView.
How can I add events to the schedule with the data from the cursor?

Oct 6, 2010I have a layout xml file with a linear layout. One of the children is again a ViewGroup Relative layout. In my java code i want to change the width of this child Viewgroup for my requirements. I tried this

l.width = 360;
childViewGroup .setLayoutParams(l);
I couldn't do this because findViewById(childViewGroup) doesn't fetch ViewGroups it does only for Views. Note: I cant define a whole new layout.xml for this minor requirement since it is huge layout file and might cause performance overhead. I wanted to just change the width of the child view group in my java activity code.

I had no problem getting this content to display in the application but I am confused as to why my images are not displaying properly. When I create banner images using these dimensions and attempt to display them in the web view they're enormous and they flow off of the screen. Sep 30, 2013I decided to purchase a new camera bag with a section to carry around my Tablet, a Fujitsu M532 running Jelly Bean. The main reason was so that when we're on holidays, I can view the photos on the bigger screen direct from the camera - a Canon EOS 7D and them delete them if I don't like them. I've read some information on the internet and it seemed that I would need to download one of the Apps that also gives you the ability to control the camera from the Tablet; I'm not really bothered about that, but always there if I wanted it. So I downloaded DSLR Controller, and paid my $ 5.94. In theory as soon as you switch on the powered up camera the Tablet should detect it and hey presto. Well mine doesn't, and also if I select the option to search for it, no joy. I have purchased the correct cable converters to get the Tablet's Micro-USB into the Camera's Mini-USB and the cables work fine away from this set-up. I'm assuming that my Tablet is just incompatible, but surely there must be some way around this.

Recently I did a bunch of updates and started using google now. My phone performance has been significantly degraded as a result.
My most pressing issue is that after taking a photo, when I go to view it, it shows as normal brightness for 1 second and then gets very dark. This happens for every image as I scroll through them individually. It appears that I now have some sort of editing option or maybe google photos or picassa has hijacked my viewer. When I click on the gallery app this dimming issue does no occur. I am unable to view photos from the camera after taking them.
