I use Handcent for my text messaging and I have one thread I would love to save.But I can't figure out how to do it.I have locked the individual messages of the thread so I don't loose them in my cleanup but I would love to be able to move this entire thread on to my sd card for safe keeping.I checked for an app to do this but didn't fine one so any idea's?

View 4 Replies View RelatedMy text thread with my girlfriend is over 4000 messages long, causing significantly noticeable lag-time. I've tried to delete the entire thread with her, but it just freezes up the program and I have to force quit it, and it won't delete the thread. Is there any way to erase all text messages at once, preferably from outside the program?
View 35 Replies View RelatedSometimes when I receive messages it makes the notification sound and will show message in notification bar but the text of the message will not appear in the text thread. Used to happen every once in a while, now doing it multiple times a day. I use Handcent but I doubt that is the problem because the messages dont show up in the regular messaging either. Just want to see if i am alone with this problem.

I also thought that I read that you could do this using the stock messaging app, but haven't been able to figure out how to do it there either. View 9 Replies View RelatedI tried searching for an answer to this, but had no luck. I've just ditched the stock Messaging App for Handcent and am really liking it (as many have here have said). BUT, when I send an MMS or even a simple text, I can't seem to send to email addresses that I had saved (I typically send to some phones and emails at the same time). I could do this with the stock app. Any ideas for me...I feel dizzy from looking through all the Handcent options and can't find anything.

Is there a setting where I can make the phone repeatedly give me an alert and/or vibrate when I get a text message? Handcent would autosize the pic so I could send. So my question is can I change the setting in the native app or just revert back to handcent.

The initial list of message threads loads fine, but when I select one I get "loading" for a very long time. This has never happened to me before, and I have been running 2.1 since it was released. It will stop working out of the blue and start back up. The only reason I know that it stops is because the person I am texting shows me that they never received a message from me and I never got one from them. My phone does not tell me I cant receive or send it just stops and I never know. When it starts working again it does not ever send the messages I didn't receive.

Is there a way to make your phones screen light up when you receive a text message? Also is there a way to set a reminder like every few minutes that you have a text message? Say if you receive a text message while you're away from the phone then two minutes later the phone vibrates or sounds to remind you that you have a new text.

I want to be able to either save a text thread or be able to save them on the memory card to back them up. I have a single text thread that I need to keep that has over 400 texts in it. I would like to be able to forward them to my email address or put them on the memory card and save them.
