In my handcent i put a few numbers on the blacklist so i wouldnt see them texting me and such. it works perfect but now i want them off the blacklist so i can see when they text me and such. how do i remove them ?

Did a search a didn't find an answer to this. If you blacklist someone on Handcent, do they get a message back that their text didn't go through, or any other alert or message to that affect when they trying texting you?
View 12 Replies View RelatedWhen recieving incoming calls message on screen when call is showing on device screen it shows system message : ["blacklisted incoming number"] {not exact message, but similiar...}. This is happened a couple of times so it is not a fluke. The calls work at first, but after this you cant recieve calls from that number. There is no setting or list to remove or edit the blacklist "feature".

On my Sprint Katana, when you clicked on the phone number in the call log, you had the choice to edit or append the number. On my Hero, when I press on the phone number, it calls it? Am I missing a step, or not holding the press long enough? I have searched and read as many as come up under a search, but I can't find any that address it from the call log issue.

Is there any way to have the phone numbers formatted using the dash? Why, you ask? I am assuming so by the way the manual is written. I have tried to follow the instructions on page 34 of the manual "adding a number to an entry in People". Step 2 directions do not exist. View 3 Replies View RelatedI rooted my phone last night following the guide and the help of a wonderful forum member and it went smoothly. I'm still on 1.5 and will stay here awhile 'till I get the nerve again to do a 2.1. I need to get used to the fact that I did just root my phone.
With all that said I have root explorer on my phone. I was going to use the list of safe apps that can be removed and I was going to cut and paste them into a backup directory in case I do something wrong. Does this sound safe and cautious? Or I was thinking about using Fresh Kitchen but I think I have to have that Rom on my phone and I don't want to go there yet. I would appreciate any suggestions on the safest way and easiest way to get rid of those apps.

I am running a rooted phone Fresh 1.1 and I am using pre-kitchen. Problem: I have tried deleting IM multiple times using Kitchen, but every time it reboots IM is still there. Debugging is on and I have made sure I am logged out before I tried uninstalling. Also, I am trying to get rid of GTalk since I am no longer going to use it either. But it does not show in the Market > My Downloads. Is there any other way of deleting it that you may know of?

Bourne to Blog: Negotiating with your Mobile Phone Carrier. I wanted to upgrade to an Android phone, but this would require a "data plan". Some time ago, I was told that since I wanted to keep my plan, I could add unlimited data for an additional $30/month and keep the plan. However, about a month ago, I emailed customer service wanting to do this with the Android phone. They told me can't do this with the Android phone, you'll have to switch to data plan (essentially losing my plan).
So, here's what I did: My dad got me an Android on his "Family Plan" along with my step-mom and step-sister. To add me onto his plan is just an additional $20 per month. So, this made the most economical sense (since I wasn't about to give up my old phone and plan).
I have the sprint HTC Hero with the latest update and when I'm to create a back up it doesn't let me do it. I then tried to downgrade the phone installing the the Sprint RUU and when I tried to install the AndroidSDK drivers I can't get to see the Serial Number of my device when I search in the command bar (following the steps of the Unlock). I'm using Windows XP with Service Pack 2. Any help will be appreciated.

I use GV exclusively probably half of the entries in my phone history appear as "unknown". Its also hit-or-miss if the contact's name appears when i dial out or when they're ringing in. Also, when me and another contact call each other back and forth several times, sometimes their info appears, sometimes they appear as "(unknown)" -- its baffling me.

A brief search on this matter on related threads seems to indicate only on "rooted" phones.
I rooted my phone and my husbands phone about 2 months ago. We LOVE it.. now I'm having a major blonde (no offense) moment.. I can't figure out how to remove apps we don't want..how to remove apps thru command prompt and nothing I try seems to make it communicate it w/the phone..maybe there's an app I can download instead?
