I used to have an HTC Touch Diamond. I have the exact same phone ringer on my new Hero, but there is a slight difference. On my old phone, the ringer would have a secondish between rings. Now my Hero just rings rings rings with no pause inbetween rings. Is there anyway to put a slight pause inbetween rings??

Since this phone takes about 3 rings for us to hear it... is their a way to change how many rings before your voice mail picks up? It seems like sometimes i only have about 2 seconds to answer before the person has been sent to my VM.

When I get a phonecall the trackball lights up but the ringtone doesn't start for about 10 seconds? I'm finding it a bit annoying! Am I missing a really obvious setting or something?

View 2 Replies View RelatedHad the Hero for 3 weeks now, and love it. Much nicer than the IPhone Just one issue I have had with it. When someone phones, I tend to only have about 2 rings to answer it before it goes to voicemail. When I tested trying to phone it myself from another phone, it rang 3 times on the phone I was rinigng it from before my Hero made any sign of life. On the 4th ring the LED started flashing and on the 5th ring it started making a noise. By th 7th ring the voicemail had kicked in.Why does it take 3 rings before the phone starts doing something?It seems like its the software just taking a moment to work out whats going on. I'm running the latest ROM however it was the same on the older one too.

Is there a way to get the ring/notification only through the headphones? I really don't want to have to turn my phone on silent mode and just have a pause when the phone rings while I'm listening to music. so far i have been unable to find a setting or app for this issue.
View 2 Replies View RelatedI just got my Hero yesterday (coming from an iPhone 3GS). I have a major issue with the fact that if I am listening to music through the headphones and I receive a call, the music pauses. But when I remove the headphones to answer the call (I don't like using the headphones or any other bluetooth device to talk into) and am done my convo, as soon as I hang up the music starts blaring (leading to embarrassing moments etc).
Is there any way to make it so that it pauses after a call until I press play again? I tried every music player in the app store I could find but nothing did this, other than Astro Player which is not what I want in a music player (no organization by album, artist, playlists etc.)
I see so many "issues" here, and not enough praise for this phone. Am I the only one with a perfectly fine phone? The only "issue" I can see myself having is I have slight light leakage on my phone, but I don't even notice it because of the case. I've used it a few times without the case, and it didn't even bother me that much. That is the only hardware "issue" i seem to have. Everything else is perfect.
I am using CM6, and have had nothing but love and praise for Froyo.
Love my EVO, and so glad I made the switch (permanently) to Android. (ex iPhone user)
Has anyone else noticed a slight squeak when the right side of the screen is pressed downward? No doubt this is due to the sliding mechanism. Just wondering if anyone else noticed.
View 3 Replies View RelatedMy droid haas a slight gap one left side when closed. when I tap on the screen the gap closes a little then opens, giving an annoying "springyness" to my tapping. It's very annoying.
After owning a first gen iphone and a pre, the droid is my favorite. But if this problem only occurs on a fraction of droids i'd like to consider an exchange.
I noticed that even when my battery hatch is closed all the way (and yes, I definitely clicked it into position fully), there is still a small opening between the fake carbon backing (that comes off all the way when you access the battery) and the little plastic piece that slides up and down to allow the carbon backing to be removed. On the top part, where the fake carbon backing meets the top part of the phone (the bit that has the camera on it), there is no such gap. Does anyone else have this? Just want to make sure it's 'normal' and that I don't have my backing on improperly / a defective phone.

I'm not talking about inward and outward, but rather up and down on the vertical y-axis like from the ear speaker at the top to the mouth mic at the bottom. And I'm only talking about a millimeter of very slight movement if you hold your thumb down firmly or grab it with two fingers and try to move it.
View 2 Replies View RelatedI notice a slight delay opening Contacts (3+ seconds) and Dialer (1+ seconds) in my Note 3.
This happens when opening them for the first time. After they've been opened once, opening them the second time is instant.
However, this happens again after I clear all the running apps and opening the Contacts and Dialer again (I clear them using the stock task manager, press and hold Home button).
I'm not sure if it happens right after unboxing (I didn't really pay attention to this at the time).But it could also happen after I turn off and uninstall updates on some of the bloatwares,or after I install the update to the bug in Keyboard from Samsung, though I'm not sure.
Specs:
-Note 3 Exynos, Stock Samsung (no firmware update yet)
-No New apps installed at all, just some updates to the bloatware and Keyboard Update from Samsung
-800+ contacts, all google and synced together with gmail
-The 3 settings in Development Mode (The animator, transition etc) are set to OFF
-S Voice is removed from the Home Button
How amazing is the desire I absolutely love it, best phone ever. Had to get that off my chest to fellow desire owners. Anyways when I put my phone down it makes a slight rattle, after inspecting closer I noticed that when I tap around the camera area it also makes a slight rattle. I have looked around and found that people are having the same problem with the Nexus one and Hero and apparently its the auto focus.
View 14 Replies View Relatedafter installing 2.2 on my hero, everything was working fine, until now. im having problems with my text messages, they wont send under sprints network, if i put it in roaming then they send right away, but roaming has awefully slow (1x) network speeds, but if i put it back to the 3g network speeds of sprint then everytime i try to send a text it just swirls in circles (the little thing next to the message) and wont send. is this sprints network being down? or does this have to do with the 2.2 update?i dont think its sprint because my mom and sister arent having any problems with there phones from the same plan. but i tryed restarting many times, taking out and leaving out the battery, putting it in airplane mode and turning that back off to reset connection, iv tryed everything and cant get it to work, so idk what to do, and i dont understand why if it was a software problem with the 2.2 installation, why would they send in roaming but not on sprints network?
View 6 Replies View RelatedI have read a couple of threads that touched on this ring issue, but was unable to find any that had a solution or work around.Since the 2.1 update and the OTA update, many times when an incoming call comes, the phone doesn't ring. If I happen to be in front of the phone, I can see the screen change showing an incoming call.If I am listening to Pandora Radio, when the phone rings, Pandora stops, but the phone never rings.If I am not near or looking at the phone this results in missing the call.If I shut off the phone and re-boot it appears to ring fine, but at some point later in the day or week it will quit ringing.I normally never turn off the phone. Should I start to re-boot every day?

View 1 Replies View Relatediv heard ppl who downloaded android 2.2 online and installed it themselves on there phone since its not being offered ota. but im wondering if its safe? the phone is not actually getting 2.2 ever, so doing this would be my own choice. but im wondering if it will run smoothly, better than 2.1 update 1, and if there will be any problems or if anything that may not work because of compatability problems with the phone. because some people have said that 2.2 isnt being released to the hero because the phone is not physically capeable of it do to software and hardware (such as space ram speeds etc.), and others have said they installed it themselves and it works fine, that its actually made to run using less space then 2.1 making it better.

The only tome I had any frustrations was getting the clips unhooked also removing the cracked piece from the super strong adhesive.
