2) How do I stop google voice from loading and running automatically whenever i reboot my phone? If i go to menu>settings>applications>running services, I can force stop it there, but I dont want it ever loading, I don't use google vioce.
HTC Hero :: Pause Music After Call
Jan 18, 2010I just got my Hero yesterday (coming from an iPhone 3GS). I have a major issue with the fact that if I am listening to music through the headphones and I receive a call, the music pauses. But when I remove the headphones to answer the call (I don't like using the headphones or any other bluetooth device to talk into) and am done my convo, as soon as I hang up the music starts blaring (leading to embarrassing moments etc).
Is there any way to make it so that it pauses after a call until I press play again? I tried every music player in the app store I could find but nothing did this, other than Astro Player which is not what I want in a music player (no organization by album, artist, playlists etc.)

Sep 15, 2009Whenever I make a call where there is a long recorded message before telling me the options, I find the phone has gone into standby - when I bring it out of standby the call gets disconnected. Is there any way to stop the phone going to sleep during a call?

Sure, I know that you can press the 'end call' button to end a call, but about three or four rings into the call, the backlight goes out, meaning that the on-screen 'end call' option is disabled, presumably also meaning that turning on the speakerphone during a call is going to need some tactile finger acrobatics.

Dec 3, 2009Everything works fine but when a phone call comes while a song is playing the app does not pause the media player and you can hear the song during the phone call. Please tell me how to pause media player on a phone call and again resume it after call is ended.

Jul 27, 2010My sprint HTC hero for some reason will all the sudden stop allowing me to get text messages and mine that I send don't seem to reach the phone I am sending it to. It will stop working out of the blue and start back up. The only reason I know that it stops is because the person I am texting shows me that they never received a message from me and I never got one from them. My phone does not tell me I cant receive or send it just stops and I never know. When it starts working again it does not ever send the messages I didn't receive.

HTC Hero :: How To Stop Recording A Call
Jan 2, 2010How do I stop my HTC Hero from recording every call? I've downloaded and installed numerous apps, and after fiddling with some my phone started doing it. I see a notice on the screen when each call begins and ends. I try to tap and catch it in order to take action, but no luck.
I see I've got Phone Recorder, but when I type my password, it says "No Data." I've also got Voice Recorder, but I don't see how it's activated to record during a call, so that's likely not it. Then there's Ultimate Voice Recorder, but its settings have "automatic phone call recording" disabled.
So what could have I done to cause my phone to record each call I make? How can I stop that from happening? And how can I erase all the recorded calls, which have got to be filling up the unit?
I'd still like to record an occasional business call for accurate info, notifying the other party of course. But I have a hunch that the recording process causes people to not hear me as clearly. At least that started happening about the time I noticed the recordings.

Mar 18, 2010I have an ImageView in which the picture switches every 5s, i am trying to add a pause and resume button that can stop and restart the action. i am using a Handler, Runnable, and postDelay() for image switch, and i put the code on onResume. i am thinking about using wait and notify for the pause and resume, but that would mean creating an extra thread. so far for the thread, i have this:

The pause button seems to work, but then after that i can't press any other button, such as the resume button.
