Mar 4, 2010Somehow I am missing the really nice music widget that shows the album graphics. Not sure where I lost it, but I want it back! I installe several things (pancake, and 2.1 icons (which I got rid of)) but the music widget is gone... all that's left is a minimal music widget.
Any ideas or suggestions for getting it back?

Jul 5, 2010I want to change my rom and backup my apps before I do so but EVERY app i've tried for this does not work. I've tried titanium, my apps, and astro... they all failed to back up my stuff. Any suggestions? do I even need to back them up or will they survive the flash?

Nov 30, 2009I just got a new 8gb memory card and want to dump a bunch of music to my Hero, but the music player seems lacking in many respects (functionally) despite looking nice (aesthetically). Has anyone tried other players that both work well and look stylish? sidenote - I was unable to format my memory card with it plugged into my network printer due to not having an adapter, but when the card is mounted and the hero is connected through usb it is reported as FAT32 in the open window. Do I need to worry about formatting? I wasn't sure if there would be any performance gain by doing so. Its a Transcend 8gb class 6.

Apr 8, 2010Even though it has been removed from the market and DID stop working, I didn't remove music junk. Yesterday I randomly opened it up and bam the search worked, I did a song preview it worked as did the download. If you loved the app and for some reason didn't uninstall it. It now seems to be working.

Sep 18, 2010I just bought a Droid Incredible and it includes all sorts of junk apps, like Teeter. They clutter up my app page when I'm looking for ones I care about. When I try to uninstall them the Uninstall is grayed-out. I'm just trying to cut down on the visual clutter of wading through zillions of apps that I don't care about. Short of rooting this phone (which voids the warranty. I'm told) is there any way to get rid of this junk? It's not like these are apps integral to being a smartphone - email, browser, etc.

For example, the following programs were pre-installed:
Amazon MP3
Footprints
Teeter
And maybe some others.
I've just tried:
Settings | Applications | Manage Apps
And noticed there's not always an option to Uninstall on these and some others.
Is it possible to remove, delete, uninstall, or get them off the device?
Is there any way to remove the pre-installed Sprint programs?
Sprint TV
Sprint-Nextel
NFL
Nascar
Are there some "core apps" or "core programs" that can't be removed?
A brief search on this matter on related threads seems to indicate only on "rooted" phones.

Aug 10, 2010Lately I've been downloading a lot of apps and trying them out, only to find out 8/10 times i don't want them anymore. I've noticed a few leave behind folders on my SDcard that I had to delete. Just wondering if that's all they left or maybe something left in the system too.

Do all the earpieces support streaming or playing music/sprint tv audio/Google listen?Are they all mono or do some single earpieces have stereo?Is there an industry standard for noise reduction that I should look for in the feature list? Nov 27, 2009Tho it seems the update did fix the problem with the native app, Handcent is still the way to go, at least for me. Seems the native app can't handle more than a 1 meg pic file and since I often include a pic in a text, taken from the Hero its of no use to me. Handcent will reduce the pic file automatically which is a nice feature. Also I refuse to lower the setting from the Hero just to accommodate the native app. Just my thought on that issue.

I remember literally doing my HW online with that kb. Was just wondering if devs ever considered using that kb with 2.1 builds. I'm sure our kb's can be better than what it is (laggy).
