Sprint HTC Hero :: Mobile Data Shutting Off By Itself
Oct 15, 2009so without touching anything, my mobile data is shutting off. If i try to visit a web page it tells me to enable mobile data in setting, but it already is enabled.

Sprint HTC Hero :: Mobile Network Data Thing Said G / What It Mean - Its Normal?
Jul 17, 2010Yesterday I looked at my phone and I noticed that for the mobile network data thing said G. Not Ev or Ev-Do or 1x or whatever else is the normal. I tried going online but it didn't work. Just restarted it and its back to normal, just wondering what was that.

May 20, 2010I rooted my phone and I have Aloysius 2.0.8 2.1 update rom . Everything has been working great until today when I started get the error code 67. Data call failure. Your PCS vision username or password may be incorrect. I tried the fix that is on the website for the error code 67 but when I go to setting /about phone/ to the system software update I need web access to update the profile on my phone. So can anyone help me with this problem without havivg to call Sprint?

Jul 1, 2010when all of a sudden the app shutdown on me. I thought that was strange, I looked at the battery and it was full charge. I tried to access it again and the same thing. The notification bar that you slide down won't stay down. I eventually shut it off and left it alone. Today I pick it up to play around with it some more and I opened up an app and sure enough after 10 minutes of use it did the same thing. None of the apps will stay open.

Feb 21, 2010Occasionally when I wake my phone up the 3g mobile network has shut itself off. It will come back automatically in a few seconds of waking the phone up, but for some reason, it's turning off while asleep. I've noticed this with my wifi as well.
I caught this problem because my Gmail has been arriving to my pc, but not my phone. This doesn't happen all the time, but it seems to be happening more lately.

Jul 13, 2010I have a sim free Hero on 3UK that I recently upgraded to 2.1. Since doing so, I have noticed that the data turns itself on every so often.I normally use the htc widget to turn on/off the mobile data as I don't use it while at work/at home. Occaisionally, I notice that it is switched on and when I try to switch it back off, it restarts itself. I've noticed this on quite a few days now over the last couple of weeks and once it starts doing it, I can't stop it.I can only think it is down to either some app that I have installed or the synch settings, but I have checked for running processes and killed anything that looks like one of my apps.I don't really know what else to do to stop it. Has anyone got any ideas?

Apr 28, 2010Over the last few days my mobile data is being very dodgy.
Basically the data icons only shows the sending data arrow and it takes ages for both arrows to show any activity, if it does ever work.
Most the time it is unusable and I often have to restart, which sometimes helps.
I don't know if its my network (orange) or something to do with the phone. Any one else?
HTC Hero :: GMail Message Not Sent On Mobile Data Connection
Sep 23, 2009While I was out today with "Mobile network" selected and an HSDPA connection I was able to update weather, view a Google Map, browse web pages and read GMail messages. However, when I replied to messages in the GMail app my replies were not sent. They sat in the GMail app with the word "Sending" shown in red in the Inbox. I tried toggling the mobile data connection off and on a couple of times, but still no joy. As soon as I returned home and reconnected through WiFi the messages were sent within a minute or so.Has anyone any suggestions as to what I might do differently next time?

Dec 1, 2009My Orange UK Hero is unable to make/send calls or send/receive sms. It displays "No Service" on the lock screen but mobile data seems to work perfectly.
If I go to...
Settings->Wireless Controls->Mobile Network Settings->Network Operators->Search Networks
then select Orange, it says "Your SIM card does not allow a connection to this network"
If mobile data wasnt working then I would guess that its a SIM issue but I'm clearly connected to the network as im using their internet!
Just swapped SIM with a friends phone.
My SIM works in his phone and his SIM has the same issues in my phone.
Booting up, it was connected to the network for enough time for it to get a voicemail notification but showed "No Service" straight away.
Im guessing the best bet is to re-flash with the latest Hero Orange firmware. Any tips for backing up numbers/sms/cal etc?

Jun 24, 2010Is anyone else having issues connecting to mobile network?I'm running Fresh 2.1.2. My network hasn't connected any today. I can't even toggle the mobile network widget.When I go to Settings Wireless, Mobile network is grayed our and it says "Turning on..." below it.I saw in another thread to cycle the network off and on. I have to do this through a long press on the power button, but it doesn't ever connect.Is this a phone issue, or could there be network problems in my area?

Dec 31, 2009I don't know if it was a settings app (Quick Settings by Sergey) from the android market that caused it, but after uninstalling that app (the only other one i use right now is the lock screen widget - which i just uninstalled), i can't turn the mobile network on. i've tried the airplane mode trick, gone into settings, soft reset, etc. any ideas in the manage applications? i'd rather not do another hard reset (had to for the google account). i called htc and they were useless - with no trouble shooting, they recommended a hard reset and to not download apps! btw, i'm on a non-rooted phone.

AndroLib, Find all applications and games available in the Android Market for your Android Phone, HTC Dream, HTC Magic etc... shows that it is out there! I hope this isn't an Android 1.5 thing...
